This is very much a large death trap, but not due to some overt traps, or hidden spring launches. But instead, in it simplicity it is dangerous. The ground is filled with sharp jagger boulders, and tons of smaller rocks. The sound of crunch rocks drives the nearby birds insane, as it happens to be their nesting grounds. Silence means saftey, but how silent can one be, in a training match?
To make matters worse, almost like the tide, a slow and steady mist fills the area in the m orning and in the evening, obscuring vision and macking matches even more difficult.

Bored. That was the best word to describe Kaen at the moment, as he sat crouched on top of a large boulder. He had come back here in order to reminisce, to look back on his years as a genin before he moved forward. Instead all he found were dreary rocks and mist, nothing of consolation or worth. He sighed softly, a silent sound amidst the rocks and mist that surrounded him. He couldn't help but wonder what he should be doing now, having just become a chuunin recently. He wanted a mission already, so he could begin to improve again. He could tweak puppets and train all he liked, but it was experience that would make him a better ninja. He would surpass the others and reestablish the Mitsurugi clan, even if he had to do it by himself! But for now, all he could do was wait. Wait until he was dubbed worthy of a new mission. Yeah...
He would sigh once more as he picked up a rock and threw it, listening to it scatter across the field boredly. Maybe he should start modifying his puppets after all. It would pass time at least...

As Askua entered the barren training grounds the mist, as if signaled, clung to her. It made her seem as if she gave off an eerie glow, not like she cared. In her hand she still clutched the blade, in the other her headband. As she wondered deeper into the grounds the only sound came from the pebbles beneath her sandals and the soft 'thud' from the headband continuously hitting against her thigh. The farther she walked the larger the boulders got. Asuka's never been this far out before, never allowing herself to wander too far away from the entrance but that didn't matter right now. She needed solitude and some time to clear her thoughts. There was a distant sound too loud to be coming from herself and as a small rock skidded to a halt beside her feet Asuka got her answer.
There was someone else amongst the rocks and mist of this field and out of curiosity Askua went off in the direction the pebble came from.

[Just like these words across this very page...]
~Shitenshi dropped into the Training fields from the forest, she knew that people where with in and with that ones of lower ranking. She calculated wit this mission success she should be up for ranking once more but who knew. There fear of her kept her placed in each rank for at least three years. She hsould have been made ANBU member already but whatever. Her teacher was supposed to meat her here after the mission when others where gone. She landed on her feet, knees bent as she extended her fingernails looking ot give a challenge to the new gennin well apparent gennin she still had to pass the test most likely she was looking for training or relief for it and Shitenshi herself still had tension to extend. Her soft black hair whistled in the morning mist. The other would be more of a challenge and would probbaly jump in to rescue the silly little gennin. She let out a soft laugh as she whispered softly to the gennin through the mist as she applied her camouflage jutsu, she whispered "Dear Asuka do you wish for a training match?" ~

Huh, that was strange. A lone genin, out for a walk perhaps? Whoever it was, they certainly weren't any higher rank than chuunin, which lead him to wonder why they were here. This was a training ground, an area where low level teams worked on their skills together or higher level ninjas practiced their arts. There was no reason for a genin to be wandering out here, all alone. The mist was always treacherous, always hungry for more death...
As though in response to his thoughts, a second presence would suddenly make itself known, challenging the genin. s**t... came the thought as Kaen spun silently to face the two presences, even though he couldn't see them through the mist. Good, that meant they couldn't see him either probably. Reaching back into his his back pouch, his hand would come to rest on one of his two scrolls, fingers wrapped loosely around it. It probably wouldn't be necessary... probably.....

(( Sorry guys school started back and everything got hectic fort a wee bit >.< dun shun me sweatdrop ))
Asuka looked around, the fact that she couldn't see her challenger didn't creep her out half as much as the person knowing her name. She could sense a very strong over bearing presence some where off to her left but she took no action " I've taken a wild guess at your rank... your way too powerful an opponent to spar with a newly graduated genin such a I" her gripped tighted on the bone once more" why do you bother me?" she asked as she stabbed the tip of the bone into the soft rock laden earth. Taking hold of the strip of cloth dangling from the other side of her head band asuka carefully tied it around her waist." but..." she began again
" if one such as you would actually take the time out to spar with me.... it would be appreciated..." she said resting her Palm on the top of her bone sword as she waited a response."makes me feel special in a way" she mumbled with a small hollow grin.

A deadly and dangerous flight of birds take flight, taking with them what little light shone over this land. His movements were silent yet swift with in moments, he forme dup behind the two gennin, and yet sooner still stood infront of Shitenshi.
"A message for you, you have been re-assigned."
With that like the birds taking flight, he took off in the wind, quicker than he had come.

Okay, seriously now, what the hell was going on here?! First this high level ninja came out of nowhere to randomly challenge a genin, then the genin accepted foolishly. That he could accept. But now yet another high level ninja had appeared and given the other ninja a message, only to vanish a moment later? He had come here to get away from it all, be by himself until he had been reassigned. s**t... He would sigh to himself tiredly before refocusing his attention on the remaining high level ninja. The next move was her's. And he would need to figure out his strategy based upon it...

"Keh. Whatever..." This was ridiculous. Just by looking at that ladies eyes, it was clear that she was on an entirely different level than either of them. Tch, if she hadn't been drawn away then....
He was snapped out of his irritated mindsetas a raven suddenly appeared on the horizon, a small scroll attached to its left leg. It would land on Kaen's shoulder, sitting idly as he removed the scroll boredly, departing as he flipped it open. Reading the contents silently, he would pocket the scroll before heading off towards the woods. He finally had a mission. It was about time he got to work on it...
((Headed to the woods.))

Standing on one of the tree branches that overlooked the deadly training grounds, Kaoru Kugashira stood simply watching the area as the Mist clung to it, as if it had a mind of his own. He hated getting up this early, not because he was overly lazy or nocturnal, but this early in the morning the Mist was just downright cold. He stood there in his brown overcoat, with it closed tight around him, its high collar obscuring the lower half of his face so only his eyes and spiky brown hair could be seen. Though he was easily recognizable, due to the large sword strapped to his back, it was a massive zanbatou, the Kubikiri Houcho. It was a mirror image of another great swordsman, Zabuza Momochi, a former Seven Swordsman from history's past. Though like Zabuza, Kaoru was a member of the elite and legendary group. Adjusting the sword strab on his shoulder, he stood idly watching the sun eat away at the Mist as the area began to warm up. He half wished he would get a mission, or at least a chance to explore the other Hidden Villages. It had been awhile since he left the Wave Country and he was starting to feel cabin fevered.
