I am not sure how many academy students there will be in this rp. But this idea of only letting one pass on, has been abolished in an attempt to quickly bolster military forces. However, there is still atest, and only those with top notch scores, and skills pass on. THere is no pairing the one with the lowest scroe with the one with the highest scores, to make a balanced team. There is only, the winners, getting paired with other winners, and the loser, ending up if they are lucky only hospitalized and forced to wait for their chance to try again, and at worse, off decaying elsewhere.

Sitting in a small cramped room, filled with others her age wasn't exactly Askua's idea of a fun learning experience. School in general didn't phase her much as she didn't put much effort.

She was use to solitude, to moving at any moment, she learned to be this way for her own good. Never to be attached to anything or anyone and in her opinion everyone should be that way, it took the unneeded emotions out of life; Or so she tried to convince herself.

Although unlike many her childhood was a peculiar one, only learning of her history and the blood that ran through her veins through crusty books and fading scrolls. Its potential, its power... and her clan's blatant arrogance that led to their demise all those years ago.

Was she doomed to that same fate? Was that who she truly was underneath her timid, solemn exterior. Mostly when thoughts like these ran through her restless conscience it caused her think too deeply for a child her age.

Asuka's last caretaker told her she needed friends, companionship. Even now she scoffed at the idea. For a bunch of people that use to turn so called companions against each other for the sake of moving up a social ladder and for martial status and power.

Not like she didn't mind becoming a chuunin herself, one step closer to her being able to go off on her own. Sighing heavily she aroused from her thoughts long enough to catch what her fellow classmate said and smiled.

Just because she felt like a loner for most of her life, doesn't mean she necessarily had to say one. Asuka packed away her things and followed everyone else fileing out of the classroom door "Changing is the hardest part" She mumbled to herself, and change she tried so desperately to do.

Graduation had already taken place today for her rival class and as she suspected anxious parents awaited their triumphed children, with eyes wide and sheer joy across their faces. 'Was passing such a joyous occasion?' Asuka thought staring into the eyes of the parents before her, each swelling with tears of pride and relief as they tied the headband around their child's forehead, arm, waist or in their hair in a bandu fashion.

Squeezing past the slightly chaotic crowd of the other class Asuka felt it. The small twinge that made her heart ache on many occasions, the worst thing you could feel towards another being; Envy. She was envious....jealous of the lives some of her so called friends had, envious of how carefree they where and how oblivious they were to the hollow feeling she felt when ever she saw a mother with her child. Asuka's heart constricted in such away that she had to clench her fist because of the pain. Why? Why this? Why now? but most importantly... why her. Couldn't the gods have cursed someone else with this burden? No, of course not. She was born cursed, or as she's been lead to understood, cursed by her retched father.

Most thought her a lie...someone that tried so hard to be something that didn't exist anymore. One that wore contacts to make her eyes such a vibrant, warm yet cold- intimidating green. One that got up every morning just to paint those fimilar red dots upon her fore head and the skin beneath her eyes, one that conveniently dyed her hair the same color as the snow that often fell. Didn't they realised the silky strands that seem to glow in the afternoon mist was her own? That the markings on her face were more permanent than the boldest of tattoos. Someone sneered behind her as she entered the area where she would be tested and Asuka glanced back.

One of the parents looked down upon her with the coldest of expressions " Look its the ibunshi" whispered the man to his wife" she actually passed" he scoffed. The woman glanced at Asuka as well" Why does she look like one of the extinct?.. does she not know that jokes like that shouldn't be played?" the man nodded" there are no more of her kind here....they all died" Askua had enough.

Turning back towards him she glared, eyes were on fire and her chest burned with rage." you talk of me as if I'm not here.." she said calmly, her eyes roaming their shocked ones.." If The Kaguya were extinct would I be here?" The man looked at her as if hesitant to reply.." your a fraud...every single one was killed..along with their children and wives.." he sneered. Asuka fell silent, it was her time to retrieve what she worked so hard for.

As she approached the stage her headband was tucked away from sight and instead of receiving what she had almost died for there in front of her stood an opponent. The couple that mocked her yelled out in protest and fright. 'It must have been their son' Askua thought grinning with anticipation.

Her sensei silenced them and reminded them of the consequences that was already known to this part of the graduation. This child was supposedly the best of her class, but she would change that. The boy carelessly charged at her with a kunai, looking as determined as he was scared.

Asuka pulled out four shrunken and threw them, they were easily dodged. As she expected. Making one seal asuka then slid back her shirt off, exposing the smooth skin of her shoulder. Askua's red polished nails dug into her skin and pulled out her humerus, perfectly pointed like a blade should be.

Left on her shoulder not a mark nor blood spilled. Everyone murmured as she ran swiftly towards him her grip on the sword was firm. He tried swiping at her but she simply shifted to the side causing him to loose his footing; Asuka took the opening. Turing the blade sideways she slashed up diagonally, the mother screamed. Not only was the gash wide be the wound in itself was deep.

The boy fell to the floor and laid there like a lump, blood ran from his abdomen, drenching his clothes and soaking his hair. Askua looked at the small droplets of blood that dripped from the edge of her sword before flashing it off and looked towards the parents that now rushed towards the stage.

Asuka didn't know what to say, she looked down at the boy rather stunned. Did she really do that? Had she really tried do desperately to kill another. Sensei rested a hand on her shoulder and gave it a small Squeeze" Kaguya Asuka, rank updated to Genin, overall rank in class number one." something insider swelled with pride as her nimble fingers ran over the cool metal plate of her headband, but that feeling didn't last long as the parents tried to go after her in blind rage and frustration

" You filthy b***h!" yelled the father" look what you did to my son!!" he tried picking him up but was afraid of worsening his condition, the wife slouched beside her son wheeped hysterically. Asuka felt guilty, the croud looked on in mutual respect yet at the same time resentment towards her. As the medical-nin came to escort the child Asuka got a glace at the look on his pale, near lifeless face. It made Asuka's guilt become unbareable. Tears rolled down her cheeks now as she broke into a small run. She couldn't be near this sickening show of emotion, and fled to the training grounds as she always did.

Smaller children ran about, each onoe playing with a puppy. Laughing and smiling, it was their only distraction form the grim, painful world which was their life. Grilling training, school exams, and plenty of smaller but deadly tests, made it where any break was very welcomed.

Most of the children were even forced to live at the school, seeing their family rarley if ever, and upon graduating expecting to make their own living arrangments. For most of them, they know that their parents are not expected to take them back in, but even the smallest chance of their parent saying yes, will prompt most of them to try, no matter the consquences.

Little did they know however, in their currently care free state, of playing with and taking care of their dog, that part of their final exam would be to slay the one thing that had shown them unquestionable love and affection. Their one companion, their pup...

Asuka glanced at them as she ran by and her guilt dimed as she slowed her pace from the break neck run to a slow jog until finally coming to a dead stop. She took it all in, from their smiling faces to the squriming dogs that smiled up at the with gleeming eyes that seem to say everything they could not vocally. Her guilt was replaced with sadness, for she knew what they would have to do.. and shamefully had done herself

"What's with this village?....why the cruelty?" she thought looking at their furry compainons, missing her own and cursing herself for her sudden remembrance of things past. Asuka hated memories, especially since most were rather unplesant. She kept on walking, as if walking away from a completed chapter of her life. No longer a sniffling academy student, but reborn as a genin- one with power, and as she made it towards the jagged area of boulders and mist Asuka felt closer to her goal that never before.
