Country Background:
The Water country is one of the smaller countries in the series, but it has a
strong ninja force. This coupled with it being an island grants the country a
great defense against outside threats. The greatest threats to the country
seem to come from within, constant wars and strife has caused many
citizens and ninja to turn against themselves and the country leadership.
The country's weather is typically cool and full of mist and lakes. In some
places, like the area where Haku grew up, it is very cold and snows quite
a bit. Little is currently known about it and it apparently leaves itself out of
most political affairs, which is understandable considering that it is an
island relatively remote from the continent containing the other four major
countries.
It is well known that the kirigakure is an island, Therefore, it makes sense
that all information following this, is in regards to after you or any vistors,
have made land fall, and arrived on shore.
The Hidden Mist lives up to its name; the village itself is covered in a foggy
mist throughout the year. and is surrounded by a river that seperates the
town from the thin forests that typically lead in to larger more dense forests/ ((Leaf village arn't the only ones with trees))
The village doesn't have some mountanous wall, to protect it from danger,
because besides of its isolation, a number of dangerous predators, stalk
the thicker forets looking, for stray and stupid people to fest on. The
almost always constant mist and lots of rain, only helps fuel their beserk rages, as it
becomes difficult to get the scent of blood from water, so once they get
the scent they rarley let go. Even Jounin find thenselves pushed by the
many strange and evil beasts that lurker in the thicker forests.
The areas of the village populated with the lower class, also have a
number of water ways, meant to either spread water around, or get run
off away from their crops.
Those better off live closer to the middle of the village, and it is here
where the very strictly enforced military prescene is felt. The ANBU when
not in a meeting, or on a mission, often spend their time, in and aroudn
the village, sneaking off to training grounds, and disgusing themselves as
general populace. Despite the strong ANBU prescence it is the nin-police
that are most often recoginzed and on guard for the village. Normally
identified by dark navy blue stripe on their black jacket, they are ninja
that skill level on its lowest ranking is inbetween that of a chunnin and a
jounin. The Nin-Police are in charge of law enforcement within the village,
and their jurisdiction is virtually unlimited except in matters that are under
the Mizukage's direct control. They also respect ANBU's own investigative
system and inner-organization discipline. The people in this village, are
not of the friendly sort. They are down to earth, hard working people,
seeking to make a way better for themselves, through what ever means.
They all strive to be the best and strongest they can be in the village.
Which can often lead to fights, broken up by the Nin-police. Tread lightly
hear vistors, lest your are challanged for your life.

Current alliances: Village Hidden in the Snow [Yukigakure no Sato] Note:the ninja from this village had a special "chakra armor" which protected them from most attacks while amplifying the user's abilities, and their jutsu arsenal typically used ice in the forms of various animals. The alliance with this village gives Kirigakure no sato new insight in building weapons and armor, allowing for ninja with skill and clearance to gain specially crafted armor and weapons. As well as ups the over all effectivness of the ninja police.
Volley guns firing kunai can also be installed on buildings of importance.
The Land of the Sea It is not a prosperous nation, and relies on the Water Country ninjas for protection.
