I was just wondering, how many of you who cosplayed got weird looks while walking down the street? I was Gaara. I got a lot. I remember this family sitting next to me in a food court who stared at me the whole time I was eating. It was kinda like...
eek eek eek eek eek
And this one kid sorta came up to me and said, "You're Gaara, aren't you? Cool!" and walked away...
Yeah... Well, at least this year I'll get less weird looks, seeing as the person I'm cosplaying as only wears a white long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans. Though, the bags under the eyes and the spiky hair might cause people to look twice...
Anyway, who were YOU? Any people you distinctly remember staring at you/recognizing who you were?

Hehe, yay for the fur suit! You got a hug from Lanzer...well this year, I was just waiting for the ghetto response and got it when coming back from lunch.
Guy in a wife beater, pants to his knees and visible boxers walked by, looked around at the cosplayers and said 'What the f*** is going on here?!' It was hilarious....to me at least

While our .hack group was heading to one of the food courts for dinner Saturday, this little kid called out, "Look! They're ready for Halloween!" I thought it was cute. Then this group of girls (I think they were there for some sort of sports tournament) wanted pictures with us when we finally got to said food court.
3nodding I didn't really get any rude remarks or stares. Though, this random little girl took my picture while my costume was dead and I was eating fries.

XD A guy got me while I was having lunch yesterday. I was sitting there, right in the middle of eating bourbon chicken and rice when some random bloke walked up and asked to take my picture. So now he's got a shot of me sitting on a bench with my styrofoam box and a cup beside me.

I love getting those looks. and this year i had a sword so if someone laughed i just glared at them and reached for my sword and they turned around and walked away...fast! ^_^

Comfort the Disturbed------ When my con' friends and I went to grab a bite to eat, we walked onto the waterfront area and we were like "Whoa.. normal people!" Hehe. We certainly got stares when we went into the Hooters... I mean it's not everyday you see four girls (two in cosplay) and only ONE guy sitting at a booth in Hooters... XD------Disturb the Comfortable

I cosplayed as Chii, so generally I got a lot of people looking at me funny walking down the road in the morning... I could tell what they were thinking, Why is that girl wearing things on her ears?
Lols. Anyway, my friends and I went to the Harry Potter book release on Friday night at the Barnes and Noble, and one guy there asked me if I was high (I was still in my cosplay...). So my friend Nic and I went and sat in a corner, while talking to other otaku on pictochat and reading a book about emo kids. It was fun. We were third in line to get our book! ^,^
