Have you run out of games to play?
Are you looking for more?
If so, welcome!
[/bad intro]
I thought it'd be a great idea to have a type of thread like this. Just post what type of game you like, what system(s) you own, and fans of the same can guide you to games that you might be interested in.

I own the Xbox 360, PS2, and GC.
I'm looking for RPG games. I like FF, played a lot of them... but whenever I stray from them to play other RPG's... it seems like they don't entertain me as much... sure ToS and Xenosaga is alright... but...
Any suggestions on RPGs with great story, plot, characters, and battle system?

Any suggestions on RPGs with great story, plot, characters, and battle system? I believe Persona 3 is coming out on the PS2 soon, though I don't know how good it is. Do you have either of the Knights of the Old Republic games or Jade Empire? They're all backwards compatible on the 360, so if your interested, they're all top notch RPGs from Bioware. I guess if you can wait a little bit, Blue Dragon comes out next month, and I heard that was pretty good... Do you have Dragon Quest VIII or Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria for your PS2? You should check those out too... Finally, Eternal Sonata is coming out soon too, I think next month, and IGN has been hyping that up to be better than Blue Dragon is. There.

I did something like this earlier today in the VGD. Somebody wanted a cutesy, funny platformer for his PS2, but it couldn't be a Jak, Ratchet, or Sly game because he already has all of them. I told he was s**t out of luck and should look at the Prince of Persia trilogy and Shadow of the Colossus, then we got into a big argument until finally I remembered that Psychonauts came out for the Xbox and PS2, so I highly recommended that. Great story, I know.

KH1 & 2, Dark Cloud 1 &2 (gotta lvl up a lot before you take on any boss, other your a** will be handed to you), I hear Dragon Quest 8 is good. There's Elder Scrolls 4, Star Ocean series (so I ehar, never played em), Shadow Hearts: COvenant.

I hoyly recommend Excite Truck. For a launch game on Wii it has great graphics. They gameplay is easy to get used to and learn. Instead of being your regular racer it is more of a driving action game, where you can control your jumps, ram people off the road, and even change the land in front of you. It is fast paced and exciting. You can choose your own music.
It's a great game. GET IT NOW.

I do not recommend it. It's graphics aren't a whole lot better than anything you haven't already seen on the Gamecube. The gameplay may be "easy", but some might call it "basic", which basically translates into "boring." And plus, with the added innovation of the Wiimote, you can add "frustrating" to that list of pleasant adjectives! This game is retarded. Choosing your own music is the only cool thing about it. It's an awful game. STAY AWAY FROM IT NOW. ... Unless you're absolutely desperate for something to play on your Wii. I'll admit it's better than most Wii games, which is sad.

Don't listen tp X-Play. Sonic and the Secret Rings rocks hard. If you didn't play Pikmin or Pikmin 2, I suggest you search for them. Sure, looks kiddy compared to Overlord, but it is uber-fun. The first game has amazing replay value, seriously, more fun every time you play it through. It'll help you get through the summer drought. Pikmin2 is simply phenominal, and an assload of fun stuff to do. In a day or two Pikmin time, it gains sandbox elements, while retaining the action and fun of the origional. Some of you may be thinking the games looks kiddy, trust me the games become much less kiddy based on the mind that plays them. wink

Well, Wii4Mii gets my backing. He's also backed up by E3 2006 game critic awards, which named it the best racing game. Oh, and Wii controls are anything but frustrating.

Some of you may be thinking the games looks kiddy, trust me the games become much less kiddy based on the mind that plays them. wink I remember one item that you had to get in the first Pikmin. It was in the underground level and if you didn't manage your Pikmin resources correctly, you ended up failing in the end. Then, when they added Louie to the second game, it really opened up a whole new world of multi-tasking. Those games can get complicated, and a couple of the dungeons and bosses from the second one can get downright difficult. Really, it's my favorite Nintendo franchise. As for Exciteruck, I found it to be rather meh... I felt that the controls were fun and allowing cutsom soundtracks was a nice touch, however, I felt the game was too limited to be worth $50. Maybe if they'd done a deeper career mode or online play, which I know is quite a stretch. Still, when it becomes a Player's Choice game, I'll be more than happy to pick it up!

Yeah, Wii4Mii's opinion is probably a bit stronger than mine considering he probably played the game quite a bit more than I did. Also, he actually likes the Wii, whereas I do not (because of "games" (a.k.a. "crap") like Excite Truck). And I can't help but feel like all the glowing reviews that games like Excite Truck are getting are severely colored by the intial novelty of using the Wiggle-Stick. I feel like this phenomenon is something that game critics are going to look back on and shake their heads and say "What were we thinking?"

I have a ps2, & I am looking for some goof fps! I only have three and I want more. (I own Killzone, Project Snowblind, and Black) Anyone know if the psp call of duty is any good. it got average ratings but I dunno if the critics are just being too harsh on the lacking of a second analog stick. confused

According to Rotten Tomatoes, ExciteTruck averaged a rating of 36%. I played through all of the cups and tracks when I rented it, and I can say it was pretty fun, though there wasn't enough variety to justify a $50 purchase...
