Welcome to Gaia! ::

Well, to herald my triumphant return to Gaia, I decided to restart an old RP of mine. This RP is Spirits of Gaia, and was a pretty darn fun game. The gist of it is that you get a Spirit (a monster, a la Monster Rancher/Pokemon/Jade Cocoon/whatever). You then battle this Spirit against other player's Spirits. When you win, you get to evolve your Spirit into something cool and new.

Now, as far as the game play goes, it's extremely open ended RP wise. You can be pretty much anything you want. Always wanted to be a vampire, but afraid of being one of 'those' people? Jump in, it's cool. Wanna be a space warrior? That's cool. Magic knight? Yeah, we can do that. Joe schmoe in a Cadillac? Why not?

The rules are definitely extensive, BUT! you don't necessarily have to learn them all. There are basic rules for the casual player who just wants to go in and kick butt, and extensive rules for those who want to learn how the battles work inside and out and put 110% into the game.

How much time do you have? It doesn't matter! You only need to play when you have time to play. If you're not gonna be around, don't get into a fight, since it's all voluntary. If you are, battle as much as you can. It's extremely forgiving of any schedule.

Want variety? We got variety. With 168 potential Spirits you can choose from to begin with, and 1680 total in the game, there is something for everyone. Do you like cats? Dogs? Unicorns? Horrid monstrosities that go bump in the night? Dragons? Goblins? Fairies? We've got you covered.

The only people that shouldn't play this game are sore losers and those who don't like dice rolls determining their battles in RP. If you're a sore loser... Well, you're gonna be awful sore, cuz EVERYONE (well, okay, there is one guy who had a perfect record, but he's just lucky. Or real good, i'm not sure.) loses eventually. But, everyone also wins eventually (Again, except for one guy. Man, sucked to be him).

So, come on, check it out! If you decide you don't like it, you can just stop playing, no one will hold it against you. All I require is that you're literate, a good sport, and have an imagination. The link is in my sig.
