WARNING! FOWL LANGUAGE AND SEMI...BAD STUFF...lol Midoriko looks out at the foggy waters, in a deep thought. Standing on a large rock that is surrounded by water, she sighs and sits herself down. ‘Lethogar has been gone for some time now. He left to find out were the summoned monsters are coming from. He took Quaff with him, and Nessa, is still with me.’ She takes out her stone too look at it one last time before she falls asleep. As she pulls it out, she sees the stone is a dark, blood red colour. ‘I have never seen this colour before…’ Looking out beyond as far as her eyes could see, she sees nothing, no monsters, nothing what so ever. Standing up, she dives into the water to see if anything is in the water, waiting to pop out and attack her. Again she had seen nothing. She jumps out of the water and lays on the rock. She yawns lightly, and falls into a deep sleep. As Midoriko sleeps, Nessa is waiting on the shore for Lethogar and Quaff to return. Sitting by the fire, she cooks herself some fish and eats it. She pauses for a second hearing a strange crying sound. Then the strange sound stopped. Nessa crawled into her tent after eating a full meal, and went to sleep. During the night, Midoriko wakes up, feeling a strange presents near her. She opened her eyes and looked around. Slowly sitting up, she moves her hair from her face. Her hair is a long and light blue, and her eyes green. She usually wears her armour, or just a small, white gown. She’s only 5’6, and the size of the rock, makes her look even smaller then she already is. She sits down, pulling out her necklace. The stone was a black colour. ‘Something…is near…I can just feel it.’ Covering the stone with her hand, she waits. Next thing she knows, she begins to feel very sleepy. The fog changes from the undead grey, to a grey with a bit of a purple tint to it. Falling down onto the rock, she tries not to sleep. Her eyes are forces shut, and she is asleep once again. As Midoriko awakens she is in a small deep cave, with torches inside. Her body felt so numb, she couldn’t move a muscle. Her eyes slowly move to the side as she sees Nessa tided up to a rock, out cold. Suddenly, she begins to hear the sound of footsteps coming closer to their location. Midoriko feels fear within. She tries to move her body, but she still can’t. The footsteps were getting louder and louder. And she looked at the cave wall and saw a shadow. As the figure came around the corner, it stopped and stared down at Midoriko. The stranger has long smoky black hair and dark brown eyes. He wears two black gauntlets, and a cross necklace around his neck. He has a tight white sleeveless shirt, and a cape like dress coming from his waist going down, showing the front of his legs, and also wearing tight black pants with armoured boots. The strange figure looks down at her, and a slight smile grows on his face. He leans down and stares into Midoriko’s eyes. She closes her eyes hoping she is just dreaming. She opened her eyes again, and the figure was gone. As she lay there, she began to remember something about the shape of the figure. But she couldn’t quite remember. Nessa began to moan and move a bit. Midoriko was able to move again. She slowly got up and crawled over to Nessa trying to untie the ropes. Then a voice spoke out from behind her. “You would of died out there… That giant monster summon could have killed the both of you…” Midoriko gasped and turned around. The strange man was there, leaning on the cave wall. Midoriko sat beside the rock. Her eyebrows moved downward as she became angry. “Who are you!?…And what did you do to us?” The man chuckled slightly walking towards them. “If you wish to know my name, you’d have to tell me yours milady.” Midoriko blushes slightly, then the thought of Lethogar pop in her head; she shook it, and looked back up at him. “Fine…My name is…Midoriko Kuronew…” The man laughed out loud. He leaned down and looked at Midoriko in the eyes. “I already knew what your name was milady. And since you told me yours, from your own voice, I shall tell you mine. My name is William.” He stands up before her and bows. Midoriko’s hand slowly sneaks to the back of the rock to try and untie Nessa from the rock. Her eyes look down at Nessa, to make sure she is still breathing. She looks back up to make sure William didn’t notice, but he was gone. Next thing she knew was her hand felt warm. She turned and tried to pull her hand from what ever has holding onto her. William was behind the rock, holding onto her wrist. She gasped slightly, and his grin grew serious. He moved close up into her face and shook his head. “I don’t think so Mido. Not right now anyways. I wish to speak with you. If you refuse, then I’ll let Nessa back out into the water, to, take a dive.” Midoriko pulled her hand away from him. Her eyes looked over at Nessa, and sighed. “Fine…” He stood up and dusted himself off. “Alright then, come with me.” Midoriko slowly stood up. As she began to walk away, she said in her mind. ‘Lethogar…were are you…?’

She followed the stranger into a long dark hallway. As they reached the end of the hallway, the sound from William’s footsteps suddenly vanished. She paused and looked around her. She turned around to run back to Nessa, but a door closed in front of her. She walked backwards into a large room. She paused, turned around and viewed the room. It seemed like someone stole everything from a castle, and placed it into this cave. She walked over to the table, and there was food on it, still hot, and fresh. Her eyes grew wide, but she resisted. ‘Oh wow…it looks so good…but…what would freshly made food be doing on a table in a damp cave?’ Suddenly, William appeared at the head of the table. “Milady, please be seated.” She slightly jumped off her feet at the sound of his voice. She looked down at the chair, and then the shadowing became darker. William appeared beside her pulling the chair out. She struggled, but eventually sat down. As she sat down, she looked at the head of the table, but he wasn’t there. She tilted her head to the side wondering were he had gone. Rubbing her eyes he appeared before her, sitting down. She looked down at the food in front of her. He stopped eating for a second and looked up at Midoriko. “You can eat, if you want. I know you don’t have to, but eating something does keep your human side strong.” Midoriko looked down at the fork. She placed her small hand upon the fork, and picked it up. She took some food, and placed it in her mouth. He chuckled slightly. “Good, isn’t it? I made it all myself. I knew I was going to have guests, but I didn’t know when.” She paused and looked at him. She swallowed the food in her mouth. “You mean...this food has been sitting here for a long time now...?” He burst out in laughter. He calmed himself down and cleared his throat. “Don’t worry Mido, I can’t cook worth s**t. I used magic.” He smiled at her, and continued eating. Midoriko herself chuckled slightly.
After she finished her meal, he took her to an inn that was built into the rock. He opened a door and she saw Nessa laying on one of the beds in the inn. She ran to her to see if she was all right. Midoriko turned back and looked over to where he stood. He nodded to her. She looked back at Nessa for a second, and back at the door. He was gone. She smiled and went to the other bed. Lying down, she began to think about Lethogar. A tear began to form. ‘No, I don’t want to cry...I can’t...But...I can’t help it...I don’t know were I am, and I’m worried about Lethogar.’ Midoriko lay on her side, closed her eyes, and fell asleep.

Quote: Chapter 2 “Lethogar Returns” Lethogar lands down on the ground with Quaff on his back. They both walk towards the camp, but there wasn’t a soul around. “Hello?! Midoriko! Nessa!” His wings vanished, as well as his horns. He walked over to the tent and looked inside. No one was there. ‘Midoriko...were are you...’ It was morning, and the sun was up. But no one was around. The coals in the fire were still slightly burning. He looked out toward the sea and saw a rock just in eyes view. He ran out to the rock were he last saw Midoriko. She wasn’t there. He ran back to the shore and saw Quaff sitting on the log by the camp fire. A fish was still in the pan, and one was half eaten. “Something must of happened to them...I know Nessa wouldn’t leave this out like this...She picky about her food, you know...” He looked up at Lethogar holding the half eaten fish in his hand. Lethogar nodded and looked out to the sea. “They couldn’t have gone far, if they were captured.” His wings came out of his back, but his horns didn’t. He picked up Quaff, and looked at him seriously. “I know they can’t be on the island, we’ll go look at sea.” Quaff nodded. Lethogar spread his wings, and flew into the air. As they were flying in the air, William appeared before them. “Hello Sir’s.” Lethogar gasped. Quaff looked up and his eyes widened. “Who are you? And what happened to our friends!” He yelled to William. He grinned at Quaff for a brief moment, and then looked up at Lethogar. “Ahh, I have seen you before. I feel her feelings for you. What is your name?” Lethogar calmed down slightly as he looked at William. Tilting his head to the side, he asked, “Who is this ‘her’ you speak of.” William chuckled. “You don’t know her name? I believe it was, Miss Midoriko.” Lethogar’s eye grew and he wanted to charge at him, but for some reason, he couldn’t move. He growled at William in anger. “Where is she....! Return her and the other one to me at once!!” William smiled. “You haven’t told me your name yet Sir...If you don’t, I will not take you to her...” Lethogar sighed and looked down at Quaff, then back at William. “Fine, my name is Satsugai, and this is Quaff.” William clapped his hands together. “It’s nice to meet the both you, Sir Satsugai, Sir Quaff. Now as I said, I always do keep my word, I’ll take you to her.” He used some kind of magic, and they appeared inside of the cave. Lethogar looked around himself. He was in amazement, for the place he was in looked like a thrown room. “Now, if you just wait right here, I’ll go get her for you, and I’ll also bring the other one.” William vanished into thin air. A few moments later, He appeared back with Nessa in his arms, and Midoriko standing beside him. He placed Nessa down onto the ground gently. Lethogar smiled, Midoriko turned and saw him. “Leth--Satsugai!” She began to run to him, he began to run to her. But the next thing they knew, they hit an invisible wall, and both fell down. “What?! What type of trickery is this?!” Quaff walked over beside Lethogar, and helped him up. William began to laugh loudly. “Don’t you understand? You asked me were she was, and if so, to let you SEE her. Well I did. But you can’t touch her.” Midoriko turned around and looked at William pondering. “What..?” Lethogar roared with anger and began to bang onto the invisible wall. “LET ME IN!” William looked at Midoriko and smirked. He slowly walked down to her and picked up her hand gently, kissing it. “She doesn’t belong to a slayer-” They both paused and looked at him. “What..? Slayer...” Lethogar stood up with his hands pressed into a fist. William walked over to Lethogar, as if the wall wasn’t even there. “She doesn’t belong to you, Lethogar. You’re a fallen angel, a negative effect upon this world. I kill anything impure that comes onto this earth. She, Midoriko may be a demon, but she isn’t as impure as you! She needs someone who has never killed any human being in his time. You on the other hand, have killed so many.” Lethogar wanted to move. It seemed as if something was holding him still, as if his body didn’t belong to him. William grinned right in his face. He walked over to Quaff and began to speak to him. “And you, Quaff, are a weakling. Someone who needed darkness to become powerful, someone who cannot control himself, seeing and believing lies fed by the darkness, you live for the darkness. You have nothing good about you, nor that foolish “friend” of yours. Or is he your master..?” Quaff growled at William as he chuckled.

He walked back over to Midoriko, and began to speak to her. “And as for you, milady. It’s not your fault you have darkness within you. You, when you were a small child, a baby, a dragonic demon cursed you with such darkness...you were helpless. You couldn’t protect yourself. If I was there at the time, I would have saved you...And you would have been perfect. But, I have a plan that can save you. Come with me, and I’ll remove this curse, and you shall feel no more hate for anyone ever again!” Midoriko paused for a moment. She looked up at Lethogar. She didn’t know what to do; she didn’t know what to say. She wanted to stay with Lethogar, but she also wanted to be free from the curse that was placed upon her. Tears began to form in her eyes, and they slowly dripped down from her face. “I.....I.....I don’t know....I...uhh...” Lethogar relaxed his muscles, and his shoulders dropped. He looked over at Midoriko. “But...Mido...you don’t need to change...I’m glad, this curse was placed upon you.... I would never have met you...an you would of died, with your parents...I would of still been a slayer, if it wasn’t for meeting you...Please, don’t...” Midoriko walked over to the wall and looked at him. She began to cry, but in doing so, it began to rain outside. William walked over to Midoriko and hugged her. She couldn’t push him away. She couldn’t even move, making it look like Midoriko is allowing him to hug her. Midoriko became slightly angry, but she gasped with her eyes opened wide. They both stood there for a good time now. Lethogar looked over at Midoriko. ‘That...blank look in her eyes...’ Lethogar banged on the wall and began to shout out at William. “HEY! What are you doing to her!! Take your hands off of her right this instant!! I’m warning you!!” Lethogar couldn’t hold it in, he was getting very angry. He yelled out and horns began to grow, and so did his wings. He became larger in size, and energy began to flow around his body. He pulled his sword out and began to attack the shield that was separating them from each other. William looked up at Lethogar with his eyes. William could feel his power growing. His eyes grew wide as he began to move backwards with Midoriko still in his arms. ‘No....how is this possible...’ He kept backing away from the wall. Quaff could feel his power growing as well. He looked down at Nessa, Midoriko, and then back at Lethogar. As he screamed out, he swung his sword from upwards to downwards on the shield. Next thing William knew was the shield had shattered, and Lethogar was walking towards him. He slowly backed away into a wall behind him. He tossed Midoriko’s lifeless body to the side, and ran away to the opposite direction. Lethogar stopped and watched him run, and then he turned his eyes to Midoriko’s body. He walks over and kneels down and places his hand on her wrist. He places her hand down back beside her and looked at William with anger. “What have you done to her...why isn’t she moving..?” William swallowed his saliva and cleared his throat. “None of your business....” Lethogar leaped into the air right behind him. He places his head right near his ear. “Let me ask you one more time....what did you do to her..?” William began to laugh. Jumping into the air, energy begins to form. Out of the energy, forms a black sword. “I really didn’t expect this of you, Lethogar. A new trick of power I never knew about. But I guess I’ll have to test it out. So Lethogar....Shall we dance?” Lethogar grinned looking up at William, ready with the sword in his hands. “Sure, why not. At least it will be some type of a warm-up.” Quaff ran over to Midoriko, with Nessa on his back. “Midoriko...you alright?” Midoriko didn’t move, more over didn’t say a word. Quaff looked into the darkness and saw a small sparkle. There was someone there. A figure came partly out of the shadows. Quaff squinted his eyes slightly, and saw the figure more clearly. Across the room, the figure jumped into the stone rafters, and then vanished. Quaff pondered for a second. He places Nessa beside Midoriko. Quaff jumped into the rafters, after the unknown.

He looked around in the rafters were the unknown figure had run off too. But he hasn’t seen a thing. Next thing he knew, a chain began to fly towards him. He dodged it, and landed on another stone rafter. He gasped and looked. He saw a ninja standing on the other beam looking at him, swinging his chain around above him. Quaff tilted his head to the side looking at him strangely. The ninja chuckled to him self. “I’m glad no one knew about me, Quaff. If they have I wouldn’t have had an interesting fight with you without getting, interrupted!” The ninja swung his chain, and again Quaff dodged it. “For a ninja you’re pretty slow...” He said grinning. The ninja grew angry and started to swing his chain more and more, but just kept missing him with every blow he made. While Lethogar and Quaff were in there own battles, Nessa awoke and looked around. She could see Lethogar battling a strange looking man. She looked down beside her and saw Midoriko. Her eyes were blank, and her body was cold. ‘Is she dead?’ She though. She placed her hand on her wrist. There was still a heartbeat. ‘But why was her body so cold?’ She looked around for a place to go without getting hit by the battle that was going on. She dragged Midoriko’s body into a doorway for protection. Lethogar kept dodging every move William tried to hit him with. William paused and saw Nessa awake and Midoriko still down. ‘I need a bit more time...’ Lethogar stopped and looked at Williams face, and down were he was looking. ‘Wait a minute.. .’ He looked back at William. “I know what you’re trying to do...and I’m not going to let it happen!” He began to fly down to Midoriko, but William went in front of him, and stopped him. “You can’t change her fate...” He pushed William out of his way and flew down to Midoriko. William began to look around for Quaff. He had no idea were he had gone. Expecting a surprise attack; he looked around everywhere, but seen no one, and nothing.
Lethogar flew down to Midoriko and began to shake her as gently as possible. “Midoriko!! Wake up! Please!” No use, she didn’t move. He looked into her eyes. He saw nothing but whiteness inside. Tears began to form on his face. He was worried about her. “Midoriko….please, wake up…please...” He laid her down on the ground and leaped up at William, grabbing his shirt and brought him close to his face. “You better tell me what you have done to her…Or I’ll kill you; worthless piece of-” William squirmed a bit looking at Lethogar. He sighed lightly and began to speak. “Fine...you want to know what’s wrong with her…I’ll tell you what’s wrong with her...” Lethogar let him go and he fixed his collar. “She is in a deep sleep, reawakening her past, so she would know why she needs to get rid of that curse..” Lethogar sighed and shook his head. He made a fist and smashed him in the side of the head. He went flying towards the ground. A large puff of dust covered the area. He flew down and looked at Midoriko; brushing her hair back. He didn’t know what to do. She wasn’t moving. He picked her up, in his arms. He looked back at William. “I’m really not the monster you think I am. I love this woman. If she is lost; I’m lost. And I’d be nothing without her. I was meant to kill her. I was meant to kill a demon that was in my lands. But instead, I fell in love with her. I didn’t have the guts to do it.” William looked over at Lethogar. He smiled slightly and replied; “I guess I was wrong about you. I’m sorry I judged you so quickly. I had no right too. I thought I was the one saving her; after you stabbed her with your claws.” His eyes grew wide as he looked at him. “How... How did you know about that…?” William chuckled a bit. His body began to glow, so did Midoriko’s. Her body began to rise upward. She flew right in front of him. He used some kind of magic, and forced a blue spirit out of her. The energy from that spirit was flailing around, but it couldn’t escape; he has took it into his own body. “I healed her after you placed your claws into her. I thought you had tried to kill her. You don’t now how many times this woman has been reincarnated. I have known every single one of them. They all died before my eyes. But now, she is alive, forever, because she isn’t human anymore……She is a demon.” Midoriko’s body landed back into Lethogar’s arms. He looked down into her eyes, and saw the colour was returning. He smiled, and looked back at William. “You remember all of there, I mean her names?” William nodded. “But, I think I should let her go. I’m glad she finally found someone that could actually take care of her. I’m counting on you.” His body began to glow blue, as he became a spirit; flying out of the cave. But suddenly, it wasn’t a cave anymore. It became what it originally was; a castle. When the castle began to become its original form, the ninja looked around; then back at Quaff. “I’ll be back, and this time, you’ll be dead…” The ninja threw down a smoke bomb, and vanished. Quaff sat down and he could feel the breeze blowing in his hair. Lethogar came out of the tower; that connected to the wall. He had Midoriko still in his arms, and Nessa standing beside him. They both looked at each other, and looked at the sun set.

Quote: Chapter 3 “Something’s wrong; Darkness followed” Lethogar sat down on the beach looking at the sunrise. Quaff walked down and sat beside him. He looked over at him, then back at the sunrise. “Midoriko is still out cold. She’s breathing alright.” He smiled and chuckled slightly. “I’m glad she is alright. I know she is a strong young woman. I just hope nothing has changed her in anyway.” Nessa, sitting beside Midoriko, made sure nothing happened to her. From were she sat, she watched the sun rising. Then suddenly; she heard a stir beside her. She turned and looked down at Midoriko. Her eyes opened widely at Nessa. She sat up slowly and turned out at the sunrise. “Whoa…wha… what happened…?” Nessa smiled and chuckled at Midoriko. “You had us all worried Midoriko. We didn’t know what happened to you.” Midoriko shook her head lightly and looked at Nessa; tilting her head slightly to the right. Nessa took out a plate; placing food on it, and handed it to Midoriko. She took the plate and bowed her head as in a thank you. “This is really good Nessa.” She complimented smiling at her. Nessa giggled slightly. “Thank you, I have been working on my cooking skill.” After Midoriko finished eating, Nessa told her were the other two had gone. She made her way down to the beach; seeing Lethogar and Quaff sparing down by the shore. Midoriko giggled and blushed slightly. They both stopped and looked up. They saw Midoriko awake and standing up. “Midoriko!” They both shouted. Lethogar ran over to her, and hugged her closely. He looked into her eyes, and he saw her eyes were still full of colour, like they used to be. “I was worried about you.” Lethogar hugged her again; as Quaff stood there, feeling slightly embarrassed. He stopped and turned toward him. “Eh, want to continue sparing?” Quaff nodded. So, they continued sparing. Midoriko began to walk along the shore, looking out toward the ocean thinking; “I wonder if it was just a dream…or if it was real.” She shook her head and laughed. She ran down into the water and ran around. She paused for a second and realized that something seemed different about herself. She sat down in the water and puzzled for a bit. Nessa walked down to the shore. “Hey guys, want breakfast?” They both paused and looked at her. “Sure.” They both began to walk up; then Lethogar stopped. “Did Mido eat?” “Yeah, only a small sample though. She might still be hungry.” Nessa continued to walk up to the camp; so did Quaff. Lethogar shook his head and shouted to the others; “I’m going to go get her, alright? Leave some for us!” They both nodded and continued up the hill. Lethogar ran in the same direction as Midoriko. He followed the foot steps and made his way to her; sitting on the wet, sandy shore. She wasn’t moving, she wasn’t even talking to herself like she would usually do. Lethogar walked down and sat beside her. “You hungry Midoriko…?” She jumped and looked at him. “Oh! Oh dear, I didn’t know you were there, hehe.” He frowned slightly and looked into her eyes. “Are you sure you’re alright now…?” She giggled slightly and nodded. “Of course! Why wouldn’t I be?” Lethogar looked out to the water. It was sparkling like diamonds, and the sun was bright as a new born phoenix. Lethogar turned and looked at her again. He slowly moved towards her, and kissed her on the lips gently. Midoriko blushed slightly, and closed her eyes. Tears slightly began to form in his eyes. As he stopped kissing her, he looked back out at the water; with his eyes closed. She tilted her head downward to the right, looking at him. “Satsugai, what’s wrong…?” He opened his teary eyes and looked in her green eyes. “You still remember me fully…right…?” She giggled slightly. “Of course I do. Your real name is Lethogar. Why would I forget you? If I have, I wouldn’t of known Nessa, nor Quaff. Heck, I’d be freaking out!” He chuckled a bit and gave her a quick peck on the cheek. “Come on, let’s go get something to eat.” As they made there way back, Quaff was lying on the shore sleeping, and Nessa was looking around for more food and herbs. Midoriko made up a plate for herself and him. “Mmmm, this is really good! Nessa is getting better at cooking.” Midoriko nods to him. After she finished eating, which she was faster for once; she smiled at him and placed her dish on top of the other ones. “Well, that was good. I think I’m going to go…umm…hehe, if you want, you can follow me…” She grinned at him and walked off into the forest. His right eyebrow moved upward as he stood up thinking; “Why wouldn’t I?” A big smile swept across his face. Midoriko lost Lethogar somewhere in the forest. She thought he was still following her. She made her way to a hidden pool with a waterfall. She began to slowly take her clothing off, hoping he was watching her. She stepped into the water and relaxed. She paused for a moment, and turned around, looking behind her. He wasn’t there. She began to hear footsteps coming to where she was. There was a clinging sound as the unknown creature took one step after another. She had a strange feeling it wasn’t Lethogar; so she moved down into the water and hid. Her clothing still lay above on the shore by the pool. The footsteps had stopped, and she saw a dark figure at the water pool. The figure saw her clothing and picked it up. Then, the figure dropped it and began to wander away. She slowly moved up and peeked out of the pool. The figure was gone. Just to make sure, she looked around once again, and no one was around. She slowly crept out of the pool and began to pick up her clothing. But yes, the figure was still there, watching her. She began to sneak away when the figure jumped at her and knocked her out. He left leaving Midoriko’s clothing still by the pool.

Lethogar finally made his way to the pool, and looked around. He didn’t see her anywhere. He looked down by the pool and saw her clothing lying on the ground, and a bunch of foot prints. Large and small; she was attacked. He rushed back to the shore and found Quaff knocked out. He ran down shaking him. “Quaff! Wake up! Quaff!!” He stirred a bit and opened his eyes. He saw Lethogar and carefully sat up. “What happened to her? Did you see what happened!?” Lethogar looked down at Quaff and shook his head. “I was going to ask you that same question.” Quaff stood up and ran over by a tree. He threw up. Lethogar stood up and looked at him. “You alright?” When he stopped, he paused and looked over at him. “I am now. I don’t know what happened. I began to feel really dizzy, then something hit me in the head…I was knocked out, and before I went out cold, I heard a scream.” Lethogar sat down on a rock beside him. “You remember what hit you?” He shook his head. “No, not entirely. I think it was a club…just a regular club…” He placed his hand on the back of his head, and moved it back down and he looked at it. There was blood on his hand. A small piece of wood fell out of his hair. “Ahh, a clue.” Lethogar picked up the piece and showed it to Quaff. “Well, we better go find them.” Quaff shook his head slowly. They both began to walk into the forest.
Nessa opened her eyes and looked around. She shook her head slightly and felt something cold around her body. Wet and cold ropes were tied around her body. She wanted to scream, but for some reason she couldn’t. She looked around and she saw Midoriko tied up on the floor. Not by rope, but by shackles. She had scares all over her body. Cuts, bruises and scrapes. She was wearing old rags. She looked up at the stairs as she heard someone walking down. The stranger walked down and looked at Nessa. He continued toward her and kneeled down. “You’re not a demon, are you?” Nessa shook her head. “Hmm, I thought so. You look more like an elf. Am I right…?” She shook her head again. “I don’t know why you where brought here. Even if you were, we are not going to hurt you at all. We only want this demon female. Last of her kind, a rarity……Do you know her?” Nessa looked over at her and nodded. “Ahh, so you’re her friend…I see I see.” He stood up and looked down at Midoriko. He grinned and kneeled beside her. He went down to her ear and bit it, and then he stood up again, then kicked her in the side. Nessa jumped and yelped a bit. “We are going to drop you back off on that Island…she is staying with me…Once I’m done with her, I’ll drop her corpse into the ocean…” As he walked toward the steps, Nessa began to scream with a gag in her mouth. He chuckled and walked back up. The strange lad walked over into the Captains room, opened the door, and walked in, closing it behind him. “She’s finally awake sir. Wish for me to untie her?” A strange dark figure turned and looked at him with red fiery eyes. “Not right now. Wait until we head to the shore. Then throw her on shore still tied and gagged. Don’t want her making a fuss or attracting attention…” He bowed to him and replied. “Yes sir…As you wish.” Later on that day, they made it back to the shore. Lethogar and Quaff saw a ship far off on the other side of the shore. They saw something leave the boat, and it began to move. They saw the body was squirming around. Quaff pulled out his scope and zoomed into the area. They saw Nessa being “dropped off” by some strangers.
Quaff looked up at Lethogar with his mouth slightly open and his eyes slightly wide. He handed the scope to Lethogar. “Its Nessa.” Lethogar took the scope and saw a boat into the waters again. He moved down to the sandy beach and saw Nessa squirming around not being able to get up. They both ran down to were Nessa lay on the ground. Lethogar broke the ropes and Nessa pulled the gag off her mouth. “They have Midoriko!!” Both Quaff and Lethogar shouted, “What!? Where?!” Nessa took a few gulps of breath. “She is in the boat somewhere…I don’t know were…but they…they said something about dropping her corpse in the ocean after they have dealt with her!” Lethogar stood up in shock. “So…Your telling me they are planning on…killing her?” Nessa nodded slowly. Lethogar looked out, but it was too late, the boat was gone. Quaff looked up at Lethogar with a sadden expression. “I…I’m sorry Lethogar..” Lethogar’s face was covered in a shadow. You couldn’t see his eyes. He turned around without saying a word and began to walk off. Nessa stood up and was about to walk to him, but Quaff stopped her by placing his hand on her shoulder. She stopped and turned her head. Quaff shook his head. “Just leave him. He’ll feel better sooner or later. Then after he’s fine, we’ll go find her. He just needs time.” Nessa smiled. “Alright Quaff, if you say so.”

Lethogar sat upon a hill made of rocks. He watched the water hit against the shore. He looked out. The sun was setting, and Midoriko wasn’t by his side. His emotions got the best of him and he smashed his fist in the rock below him. The rocks were tossed aside from his punch. “I want to go look for her by myself….I don’t want anyone’s help…Midoriko…I miss…you…” Lethogar’s face filled with a tear cooled by the wind. He felt as if he couldn’t go on without her by his side. She is his strength. He stood up and grinned to himself. “Midoriko you better not die on me…” He spread out his wings and flew off over the water to go search for her. Nessa saw a figure flying over the water. She looked over at Quaff. He was too busy trying to get the fire to start. She didn’t want to say anything. She knew he was going to go search for her. Nessa walked over to Quaff to help start the fire and make something for them to eat.
Back in the boat, Midoriko awoke and was lying in a bed in the captain’s cabin. She sat up and yelped a bit. She stood up and walked over to the small rounded window in the captain’s room. She noticed she was still on the same boat, and realized that what happened wasn’t a dream. She moved over to the mirror and saw a scare on her face. She also looked at her arms and saw more. She heard someone coming, so she ran back and laid down on the bed. The Captain walked in and closed the door behind him. He slowly made his way to the bed and sat down. “I can’t believe that elf bought what I said…it’s not even true.” He chucked a bit to himself and looked back down at her. “I wonder what her name is…” She quickly turned around to grab his arm, but he was faster and grabbed hers instead. “You’re pretty quick, you could of grabbed mine.” Midoriko tried to pull her arm out of his grip, but his grip was pretty strong. “Let me go…!” He grabbed her other wrist and used his weight and pushed her down on the bed. He moved over her and looked at her. “What do you want with me!” He looks down at her eyes, and smiles. He gets off of her and sits down back on the bed. Laying there she looks at him, then sits up slowly. “If your wondering why you were beaten like that is because my people believe that all demons are evil. But I can’t sense any evil in you…unless you’re hiding it from me.” He turns around and looks at her. Midoriko looks down at her arms, and then places them around herself as if she is hugging herself. His smile dies down and turns his body slightly toward her. “Are you cold?” She looks over at him with her eyes. “No…” He smirks slightly and stands up. “Alright, just making sure. The servant will be bringing in some food for you. I told him its for you…if you want it.” Midoriko shakes her head at him. “I’m……not hungry…” “He sighed slightly to himself. “Well, if you do, he’ll leave it for you.” The Captain stood up and walked toward the door. Before he opened it, he turned his head, “If you care to know, my name is Kaji Yuri.” She said nothing after he spoke. He turned around and left the room back on deck to check on his crew. Midoriko sighed and looked toward the window. ‘Should I stay…? Or should I try and escape…’ Before she could decide, a young boy with blond hair, and bright sky blue eyes walked in with a plate of food. “Here miss…your food…” She looked over and saw him standing by the door, not daring to go near me. He was shaking with abundant of fear. She sighed and looked down at her hands. “If your that afraid of me, just set it on the floor and I’ll get it myself…” The young boy slowly set it on the floor, and slowly and quietly, slinked out of the room. Midoriko looked down at the food. She wasn’t really hungry, but she didn’t want to upset anyone. She got off of the bed and walked over to the plate picking it up. She noticed a note under a leaf of lettuce. She opened it and read it.
“Meet me on deck at midnight”

She didn’t know what to think. ‘Was he going to set me free? Or, was he planning on dumping me overboard? It wouldn’t of mattered anyways if he did, I can breath underwater.’ She took the plate back to the bed, and munched on it slowly while she began to think more. ‘What about Lethogar and the others? Will they come for me? Or…have they forgotten me…No wait, that’s not true. They’ll look for me. Nessa was on the boat! She should still be here unless…’ Midoriko jumped off of the bed towards the door trying to open it. The door was locked. ‘When was it locked?!’ She stopped and looked around for something to break down the door. She turned her back for one moment and she heard the door squeak. The Captains first mate came into the room and closed the door behind him. He made sure it was locked before he continued any further. She didn’t want to move; she didn’t know what to do. She froze were she was standing. Next thing she knew her mouth was being covered and her body was surrounded by a large arm. “Well well, so you must be the Captains new pet! Lemme see if your good enough for him!” She was pushed onto the bed when the door handle began to wiggle. A figure came into the room, it was the Captain. “What the hell do you think your doing! I told you to check on her not too…!” The first mate turned around and smashed the Captain in the face with his fist. He fell back and landed into a shelf and knocked everything over. Midoriko squinted her eyes and jumped off of the bed. “Hey fatty! Why don’t you pick on someone who can actually do some damage!” The first mate turned around and went to grab Midoriko’s neck, but she pushed his hand down and smashed him in the face, and he went right through the wall out onto the deck. Midoriko walked over to the Captain and helped him up. “You alright?” As she helped him up, he rubbed his forehead and looked up at the wall. In shock he jumped and almost fell back down; She stopped his fall. He stood his ground firmly and brushed himself off. “How….how did you do that..?!” She pushed him over to the other side of the room as she stopped the first mates punch. He growled at her trying to push her down with his fist. “Haven’t you realized? I’m not even human….you can’t push me down…” The first mate stopped pushing her hand with his fist. He looked down at her. He walked out of the room through the hole that she made in the wall. ‘That’s odd…why did he give up so easily…?’
Later on that day, Lethogar made his way to a town, known as “Highly Night Sanctuary” a place were people praise their Lord or King. He walked around the town searching for Midoriko…but no sign of her. He looked out to the water and he saw not only fog rolling in, but a large boat, the same boat that dropped Nessa off. He wasn’t too sure if that WAS the same boat. So he hung around a while. As he wandered through the town, he made his way to an alleyway. He heard someone crying, so he decided to go in to see who it was…He noticed a young girl with torn up clothing, badly beaten, and bleeding from her arm. He slowly walked over to her and kneeled down. “Are you alright…? What happened?” The young girl looked up at him, her eyes looked like demon eyes, but he didn’t sense a demon near by. She had strange markings on her arms, almost looks like they were scares of some sort. She had fangs like a vampire, but light was shinning between the buildings and she was fine. Her small torn up hat had fallen off of her head, and ears popped out. He jumped back slightly looking at her ears. He slightly smiled and chuckled. “Ahh, so you’re a neko?” She curled up in a ball and tried to cover herself. “No no, there isn’t anything wrong with Neko’s…” She moved back in fear, as if something had startled her. Lethogar stood up waving his arms around, “No no! I didn’t mean to scare you I--!” He paused and notices two moving shadows behind him. “So…that’s were you ran off to you little brat!” Said the first man. The second man grabbed Lethogar’s arms and handcuffed his hands. “And you sir, your also coming with us.” Lethogar gasped and looked around. “Hey what’s going on?! I didn’t do anything I heard crying and-” “Nice try sir…” They took the neko girl and Lethogar to the kings Fortress up the mountain from the village. At the same time, Midoriko and the Captain were being escorted to the same fortress. The pathway was surrounded by fine green grass, and tear dropped flowers. Also along the way where crossways to keep evil demons out. But the Captain knew it wouldn’t harm Midoriko. As they walked along the pathway, Midoriko kept stalling and looking around. The Captain finally said something. “Midoriko…why is it that you keep stalling?” Midoriko looked over at him as she walked. “I don’t understand…why is it that the fog doesn’t’t go past the first marker?” He chuckled slightly. “Because it isn’t fog. Its evil demonic spirits trying to get to the Fortress.” Midoriko paused for a second. ‘Wait a minute…is my evil power, dormant inside undetectable?’ The Captain looked at her worryingly. “Midoriko…something wrong?” Midoriko didn’t say anything, just deep in thought.

Going on a more secure root to the fortress, the neko girl and Lethogar made there way up a steep hill. Lethogar turns over to one of the guard walking them up. “I have a question for you Sir..” The guard sighed and nodded, “Proceed.” Lethogar cleared his throat. “Alright, why is it that we didn’t go through the other path way? Doesn’t it lead to the same place?” The guard nodded again. “Yes it does, but that pathway is only for royalty, and right now, the Kings new bride is headed there.” Lethogar began to think, ‘I really hope its not Midoriko…’ Midoriko made her way in with the Captain. She stopped and looked around. “What’s going on here?” The Captain stopped beside her, and he began to whisper in her ear. “There is going to be a wedding here…and the King believes you’re the bride…” Midoriko jumped. “WHAT?!” The next thing he knew she was out the door. He ran out and stopped her. “No no you cant leave! I need your help Midoriko…please stay and help me solve this crime…” Midoriko shook his grip. “…Crime?” He nodded. “Yes, a crime that has been going on for years, but had no proof of it. Since you are going to be his bride, you can go anywhere in the fortress, and you’ll be able to find my brother.” Midoriko hesitated for a bit, then she sighed and smiled. “Fine fine, I’ll help you…” The Captain smiled and hugged her tightly. “Thank you so very much…you shall be rewarded greatly.” Midoriko sighed smiling. ‘Oh well, hopefully we don’t go through with the wedding…wait a minute…what does this freak look like?’ Next thing she knew, she heard behind her, “PRESENTING THE ROYAL HIGHNESS OF THE FORTRESS! KING MATSUO MIHARU!!” The same time that the kings name was shouted, Lethogar was in the fortress and began thinking. ‘Hmm, now he meets the bride…I wonder who it is…’
The king walked down the large twisted steps. He was chubby and wore a large royal gown. He looked somewhat like Saint Nick, but more wore a black robe, and no silly hat. Midoriko gagged slightly and turned to the Captain. “This is this King I have to marry? How sick! He looks like a pig that just came from feeding…!” The Captain rubbed the back of his head. “Sorry I didn’t tell you he wasn’t the best looking…” The king made his way down and began looking at her. The king grunted out a chuckle, and began to speak. “You’ll be a fine bride….for my son!” The Captain and Midoriko both looked at him in shock, “What?” The king brought out the strangest laugh. “Sorry my letter wasn’t so clear. My son is the one getting married! Now, let me get you upstairs and dressed up for tonight!” The maids walked Midoriko up the stairs. After she was brought up the first turn, Lethogar was brought to the King. At the same time the Captain followed the maids and Midoriko up the stairs. The King looked and snarled and Lethogar and the Neko girl. “Young one you have to stop running away from me, someone might find out what you are and capture you…” He paused and looked at the young muscular man. He looked up, and then down again. “You’ll be good for a guard for my son, if you don’t pull anything funny…” Lethogar thought up a quick plan and agreed. “Yes your majesty, I’ll do anything to help keep your son protected.” The King clapped and laughed. “Excellent!” Midoriko was dressed in the most expensive gown and left alone in the room. She spun around in a long black gown, with long arm sleeves attached to the hands, and on the right side, a long see-through piece attached to the gown itself. Midoriko looked at her neck and saw a pendant on her neck, a silverish-blue stone, held along her neck with a silver chain. She is also wearing silver earring with the same coloured stone. She spun around on the floor. She began to sing to herself as she danced along the floor. The Captain opened the door slowly and looked in. He saw her singing and dancing along the floor. He stopped from opening the door and watched her as she sang and danced. ‘As if she was an angel sent down from heaven to grace the lands with beauty…who ever falls in love with her cant keep her off their minds…’ She paused and sat down on the floor. She began to cry. ‘Why do angels cry? Is that the way they clean us losers from a selfish hateful world? If so, they are soaking up all our pain…I wouldn’t want an angel to suffer, they shouldn’t have too, unless, she isn’t an angel and just a silly girl.’ He slowly closed the door behind him and went back down stairs. In the meantime, Lethogar wandered around the ballroom floor waiting for the Kings son to come down. He finally did, wearing a black suit.

The daytime fell and the night came. Everyone in the ball room was laughing, dancing, and enjoying themselves. The Kings son waiting for his future bride, as Lethogar stood beside him. A few of the lights dimmed and the King picked up his fork, and tapped the glass making a tinging sound, and began to speak. “Your attention please! I’d like everyone attention on my sons future wife.” The King turned to the Captain on his left. “Umm, what is her name again…?” The Captain leaned over and replied, “Midoriko your highness.” The King laughed. “Please welcome, Midoriko!” The people below clapped and cheered. Lethogar choked, and his eyes bugged out of his head. ‘What the…?…No no it cant be that Midoriko……can it???’ Midoriko made her way down the stairs. But the only problem was that no one could see, the tears in her eyes as she walked down. People were cheering and screaming, whistling at her as she came down. She cried because she missed someone that was closer then she thought. She looked up slowly and stopped in the middle of the stairs. She looked around to find the Kings son. But what she found, was something she thought was a ghost, or a soul haunting her. She saw Lethogar sitting beside the Kings son; she saw him looking at her. She became scared. Her eyes began to fill with tears. Lethogar stood up and ran out to her. The Captain saw him run out to her, people moved out of the way as everyone eyed him. She begin to fall on her knee’s, but he ran and grabbed her before she did. The King looked over at his son and saw him enraged, and he began to panic. “Now now son don’t do--” The son of the King stood up on the table and began to shout. “She is mine!” Lethogar held Midoriko and he pat the back of her head. She brought her head up and looked up. It was a dream. Midoriko sat up in her bed and cried. She walked out onto the balcony and began to sing to herself, to try and calm herself down.
Sometimes I think of you and tears fill my eyes You've touched me in places no one ever reached It seems as if hell has reached heaven I am scared, of losing you Your eyes take me from this horror I’m scared, of what you’ll see My spirit release my body Down to a lonely world I can’t loose you now I’ll love you, no matter what I must do, to be free From this, that I must do To save one, to save another I’ll come to you I’ll be free, from others mistakes…
After she sang, she slowly walked back to her bed, and laid down within the sheets. Laying alone she felt safe, knowing she didn’t marry that son of the King. As she closed her eyes, she heard a squeak at the door. She was too scared to move, too frightened to open her eyes, so she kept them closed. She felt something come onto the bed. She panicked and grabbed the persons arm, but at the same time, the person covered her mouth before she could scream or make any loud sound. Midoriko was scared, she knew she was about to be raped. She didn’t know who it was until she moon shawn in the room. The figure moved over top of her; she looked up and saw it was the one who she would accept. She began to cry. “Lethogar…my love, its true! You are here…” Lethogar, yes, was the figure. He placed his right hand on her right cheek, and kissed her deeply and passionately. She moved her left hand on the back of his head pushing him closer. He lost his balance and fell right on top of her. He stopped kissing and looked deeply into her eyes, they both sat up. Midoriko whispered, “Lethogar how did you--” He covered her mouth with one finger. He kissed her once and smiled. She dropped all boundaries, she opened herself to him. They began kissing again and they laid on their sides. Lethogar moved his hand slowly to her shoulder and gently pulled down the string holding the long silky pajamas on her body. As they squirmed around the bed kissing, her pajamas were messed up and pulled up. She sat up and took them off, slowly to tease him. Midoriko smiled and said to herself, ‘If this is just a dream, I’ll always remember it, hoping it will soon come true.’ She bit her lip gently looking at him. He smiles and took off his pants. After he did so, she pushed him down on his back and began to kiss him again. They were so in love, they couldn’t keep their hands off of each other, they could feel the love through their skin. So much pain, but she wanted it to be him, she couldn’t bare get too close to someone she didn’t know. He had to be the one to take that away from her. She wanted it to be him, she loved him, she wanted to make love with him. They began to make love, for the first time. The next morning she awoke, and she was a mess. She heard giggling at the door, someone was coming in. It was one of the maids. She came in and saw her already awake, and the blinds already open. She smiled at her, and held the door open as Midoriko’s breakfast was being brought in. “I see you had a rough night trying to fall asleep.” Midoriko gasped and looked at herself. She was wearing her pajamas, yes she felt different below, and inside, she knew it wasn’t a dream. Lethogar is here! Midoriko smiled and nodded. The second maid brought in her food, and they both left closing the doors close. She looked down at her food, and began to eat. She got dressed and walked outside and walked through the garden. She placed both her hands behind her back, lost in thought about last night. She could never forget the feeling she felt when making love to him. She paused and looked through a few bushes and saw Lethogar and the kings son. She heard them talking, so she listened in. “Lethogar…do you love her?” He stopped and looked at him. “Why do you ask me this your highness?” The kings son laughed. “Please, call me Mathias.” Lethogar chuckled and continued walking with Mathias. “Well, I have known her for a long time…actually I went looking for her after she was captured…”

Mathias smiled and nodded. “I apologize for loosing it last night…I was putting on an act for my father…I spoke to the Captain on why she was here and why her. He explained that my father was up to no good. I’m allowing this to go on, only to see if what he told me is true.” He walked down and sat down on the bench. “Even though, she is very beautiful young woman…What race is she?” Lethogar stayed standing and grinned his teeth a bit before she answered. “If you promise not to say anything…” Mathias nodded. “I won’t. I already told the Captain I wouldn’t say a word.” Lethogar looked around and sat beside him. “She is a water demon…”
Midoriko spying on them sighed in relief. ‘I’m glad he didn’t say anything about my dark power hidden inside…’ She smiled to herself. She turned away and began to hum the song that she sang last night, and danced around in the garden. Lethogar and Mathias both stopped talking and heard a voice in the garden. They walked down the path a bit and saw Midoriko dancing around in the garden; but then stopped, and began to wobble. Without warning, she collapsed on the grass. Both Lethogar and Mathias ran to her to see if she was alright. Lethogar picked her up and looked down at Mathias. “Is there a pond anywhere around here?” Mathias dusted himself off and looked strangely at him. “Umm, yes right back there……why?” Lethogar, not saying a word, ran down to the pond. The next thing Mathias heard was a splash. His heart started to race and he ran down to the pond and saw Midoriko sinking. He ran to jump in the pond but Lethogar stopped him. “Remember what I told you about what she is…?” Mathias looked down in the water as she disappeared. Next thing he knew she went flying out of the water, and dived back in. She came back to the surface and looked up and saw Lethogar and Mathias standing looking down at her. She tilted her head slightly. “Thank you Lethogar, I really, really needed that.” Lethogar helped her out of the water. Her clothing soaking wet, she sighed and laughed slightly. “Oh dear, I’ll have to go change. I’ll be right back, alright?” She rushed away to her room to change.
Mathias smirked and looked at Lethogar. “How did you ever meet such a strange young lady?” He sat down on the grass and looked at the water. “You know, I met her while hunting her without myself knowing it.” Mathias sat down beside him. “I’m confused…” “Well, I was told a danger was in my homelands. A demon, I didn’t know what it looked like, just known it was evil. But, I ended up meeting her and falling in love with her.” He sighed and chucked. “And a few days ago I found out she was captured and my friend Nessa was dropped off on shore…they obviously had no interest in her…” Mathias laughed. “You’ll have to ask the Captain about that.” “The Captain? Who is this Captain?” As soon as he spoke those words, Captain Kaji Yuri walked outside. “That would be me Sir.” He stood before both Lethogar and Mathias. Bowing he begins to explain. “I’m sorry about taking her away from you like that, but I did need her help.” “Did she know you needed her help?” “No…but, I also needed you and your friends help, so the only way I could get the rest of the group to follow was to make a scene, which I did.” “Why didn’t you just ask?” “Because, I wasn’t sure if I could trust you.” Sighing he sits down on the shore. “Hmm…well, you still should of asked…” “Yes, your right; I still should of asked.”
Making her way back to Lethogar, the Captain Kaji and Mathias, she stopped and listened to them talking. “So, since you have been dragged into this, I have to tell you about what’s going on and every detail I can give about my mission….well….our mission.” As she was spying, something from behind came and grabbed her, covering her mouth to block out any loud sound she could make; pulling her away into a dark door. Lethogar’s ears twitched and his eyes widened. Both Mathias and Kaji looked at him strangely. “Sir, is there something wrong?” Lethogar heard one beat of a heart. He looked down at his hands. Something was wrong. Not only someone had been snatched, but also something was changing him. He looked over to the bushes and saw a dark hooded figure holding something within its hands. His hands looks old a brittle, ready to fall apart by a simple touch of a feather. It was type of blood red orb, and it was glowing, and slowly with each of Lethogar’s breaths, it became brighter. The figure placed its fingers around it and ran off. He noticed Lethogar was looking at him. Lethogar began to feel normal again. ‘What the hell? What’s going on? Who was that? And why was I feeling so strange…could of it been caused by that orb it held?’ He shook he head and looked at Kaji and Mathias. “I’m sorry but I must go…” Bowing at the both of them he leaves in search of the stranger. Kaji turned and looked at Mathias. “How’s everything going anyways?” “Everything seems in order at the moment…” He paused and took a short gasp. “Wait a minute…Midoriko should have been back by now…” “What do you mean sir?” “She left to go change…and she hasn’t returned…is that why Lethogar ran in such a hurry?” Lethogar didn’t go anywhere. He was sitting behind the bushes where the strange man with the orb stood. ‘You mean they didn’t see anything? They didn’t see the light of the red orb?’ He stood up and looked around behind him. He noticed an entrance leading into the darkness. He rubbed his eyes and looked once again, and it was gone. Lethogar walked back and sat down. “Umm…I have a question for the two of you…” Mathias smiled and relaxed. “Well, what is it?”

“Is there a door back there behind those bushes?” Both of them laughed. “No, why do you ask?” Lethogar sighed looking downward, then shook his head slowly. He looked up back at them. “No reason. Just was wondering…” Mathias stood up and dusted himself off. “Well, I’ll head off for now, need to see what my father is up too.” Kaji stood up and bowed. “Alright Milord.” As Mathias walked away chuckling, Kaji turned his attention to Lethogar. He could see depression and confusion on his face. “Towns folk have seen black doors hidden on walls between the streets. No one believed them. Not even Mathias himself. But I do…because I saw one myself.” Lethogar looked up at him in excitement. “Really? Is there any records on these black walls?” Kaji sighed and shook his head. “I don’t know…” Lethogar began to walk away, then Kaji began to speak. “Also people have said that women have gone missing.” That grabbed his attention. He slowly turned his head with eyes open wide. ‘No…could there have been another one of those hooded figures? ……Midoriko!!’
Midoriko opened her eyes. She couldn’t see a thing. The room was so dark, it seemed as if she had been swallowed by the darkness itself. It was quiet, too quiet. Was she really devoured by the darkness? Suddenly she remembered that she had been grabbed by some hooded man. As she waited to see if anything would happen, something did. A glowing orb being held by a hooded figure came out of nowhere standing behind her. “Bring us darkness…bring us…darkness!!” She gasped when she hear the distilled voice. She backed off. Hearing his words, she became confused. ‘Bring us darkness?? What does he mean?’ She gulped and answered back. “I don’t understand what you are trying to-” “BRING IT TO US! EVERLASTING DARKNESS!” The hooded figure flew closer to her. Screaming, she covered her eyes, but at the same time, she fainted. She began to awake. Her eyes opened, but everything seemed a blur. She tried to bring her hands to her face to rub her eyes, but she would move them any closer. Tugging on whatever bounded her hands, she realised that she had been taken to another room. She shook her head, blinked a few times, and her vision returned. There was some kind of dark bondage chaining her to the bed she laid on. She began to panic. ‘What…what’s going on?!’ She looked around. She was in a very, very small room, just enough for a single slave to live in. She heard a rattle sound from the door. The handle began to move. She moved into the corner the best she could. Then a strange, ugly looking creature limped its way into the room. She screamed really loud. Her heart was racing, and she was really frightened. Then the creature placed its hand around her mouth, and began to speak. “You’ll scare it away! Stop your screaming.” She did stop screaming, but she was whimpering under her breath. The creature picked up a mouse and popped it in it’s mouth. “There, now you can start screaming…” He walked out and closed the door behind him. Grossed out yet confused, she chuckled to herself in amusement of the strange creature, shutting her up just to eat a mouse. She thought she was safe, until the door rattled again. The creature came back in but this time, held the door open. ‘Was someone else coming in the room? Or was he letting more mice in this storage room…ewwww…that’s just nasty!!’ Someone did come into a room. He looked more human then monster; had black short hair, and wore basic clothing. The top was sleeveless, tight and it dangled down in front a bit. He wore pants, semi-tight, and the outfit’s color was grey, the belt, light grey and the rest was dark. He also had massive wings, black in fact. He stared at her for a moment and then looked down at the strange little guy. He nodded and left the room, closing the door behind him. She gulped. She didn’t know what was going to happen to her. She backed away on the tiny bed as far as she could. He just stood there; not saying a word; not even moving. She couldn’t look away from him, she was too afraid. He finally began to move, and crept slowly toward her. Midoriko squirmed and tried to get loose but she couldn’t. She closed her eyes and moved her head trying not to look on what was going to happen to her. Nothing did. She opened one of her eyes, and he was sitting on the bed looking straight at her. He crept a little closer, but not too close. He was right in her face. She was nervous and was sweating a lot. Her heart pounding, its like he could hear it. He closed his eyes and listened to the sound of her heart. “I like it.” He licked his lips slowly to intimidate her. She was right. He was a blood thirsty monster. ‘I would of gotten out of here way before little freak came in……problem is, I feel really weak…’ “If I wasn’t so weak, I’d tare you to shreds…” He grinned and began to laugh. “So you are a demon…I guess I wont rip your beating heart out and devour it.” She spat on his face and snarled. His grin faded and his hand moved too quickly for her eyes to see. Before she new it his hand was around her neck, her throat was being crushed. Suddenly he stopped, and his grin came back. “For some reason I don’t have any will inside myself to kill you. There must be something about you that makes you so interesting… I wonder what it could be…” He forced a kiss on her then jumped off of the bed. “I’ll return later. Oh, and by the way, your lip is bleeding…” He walked out of the room, letting his wings flow behind him. “What a ******** jerk.” She whispered.

Quaff was laying on the beach looking up at the sky, while Nessa was making something for them to eat. Quaff rolled on his side and sighed. The sun was past the noon mark, so it must be in the afternoon. Out of boredom, Quaff summoned his little Thunder snake, and began to play around with him. Nessa walked over and passed Quaff a plate. “Here, its done.” Quaff sat up, and took the plate from her. “Thanks.” She walked back over to get herself a plate. Quaffs little friend popped of his shoulder and dug into the sand finding the little blue coloured worms for his lunch as well. Quaff took one bite, and stopped. Nessa looked over at him and her eyes opened wide. “Does it taste that bad??” He didn’t say anything, but he shook his head. He set the plate down and walked off toward the water. His little summon jumped onto his plate and ate everything on it. Nessa watched him walked off. She didn’t want to say anything, something had to be wrong; it was that obvious. He stopped before he reached the water. Something didn’t feel right. He ran back up to Nessa and grabbed her arm. “Lets go come on!” “Hey! I was eating my stew you know!” They began to run up the hill, the next thing they knew, a massive wave was coming their way. Quaff pushed Nessa on the ground and the wave his the shore, pushing Quaff to the ground. A few minutes later, Nessa opened her eyes and looked around. She couldn’t see Quaff anywhere, until she looked up. She couldn’t move a muscle; her body was shivering, and her eyes were open wide. A strange demon with large wings was holding Quaff by his head. He wasn’t moving. It looked like he was already dead; his body dangling there. “QUAFF!! SOMEBODY! PLEASE, HEEELP!!!” The strange figure looked down at her. He snarled and threw Quaff onto the ground. He stared at her for a moment. She looked back and forth at the figure and Quaff. She jumped up and ran over to Quaff; but before she could get there, the figure appeared in front of her, and she bumped into him, and fell down. He began to grin at her, and he grabbed her by the neck, and slowly began to crush it. ‘This is the end….good…bye….. Quaff….Mido……..Letho-’ She believed she was going to die, until the grip slowly lessened and she fell to the ground. Quaff slowly sat up. Nessa shook her head and looked at the figure. He slowly began to turn around to look at Quaff. Nessa could see Quaffs Halberd sticking out of his back. Strange thing was, before he could look Quaff right in the eyes, he vanished; turned to black beads. Once they hit the ground they soaked in like rain soaking into the ground. Nessa’s heart was beating pretty heavy, but slowly eased. Quaff looked over at at Nessa and smiled. “You...alright Nessa?” She looked back and nodded her head. “Yeah…but, whats the hell was that thing that attacked us?” He stood up slowly because of his wounds; made his way to Nessa, and sat beside her. “It was some kind of Spirit Summon.” She turned her attention to Quaff. “A summon? Weren’t you and Lethogar looking for Summons about a few weeks ago?” He nodded. “Yup, we found a few. Thing is, we figured that someone had put them there themselves.” Nessa stood up and dusted herself off. “We have to go find Lethogar and Midoriko right away!” Quaff looked away and sighed. “We don’t know were they are…” Nessa smiled. “Don’t forget, I was on the boat. I know were they went.” Quaff looked back at her and stood up. “Where?!” She turned and pointed in the same direction as the boat went that had Midoriko in it. “To the Highly Night Sanctuary!!” Quaff paused for a moment. “I’m sorry but…I cant go with you…” She turned and looked down at him. “Wha? Why not?” He sighed and looked away. He didn’t want to say a word; he just walked away back toward the shore. She stood up and piffed at him. “You think something silly would keep you from helping your friends?” He turned around and began to raise his voice. “Look!! I’m not going there and that’s final!!” He cleared his throat and continued. “And besides…Lethogar isn’t my friend… I’m just an Assassin that was hired by him to hunt Midoriko…” She walked over to him. “Why are you still with him then?” He opened his mouth but nothing came out. He sighed and grinned. “Fine, your right…but I’m warning you…is something happens we are out of there alright?” She nodded to him. Quaff summoned his Thunder snake, and it grew in size. They both hopped on it and headed into the same direction as the Highly Night Sanctuary.
They were almost there; the sun was down, and he could just see the fog rolling in. He knew more about this place then anyone knew. He went down a few miles away from the town, and landed into the forest. When they landed, he picked up Nessa and jumped off. The Thunder Snake became normal and disappeared into thin air. He used his skills and snuck into the town without anyone noticing. Finding a small place to rest, where no one could see them, he places Nessa on the ground, and he laid down near the entrance. During the night Quaff looked up into the sky were he laid. For some reason he wasn’t sleepy at all. It was quiet, except for the dogs barking at the night sky that he looked at. He looked down at Nessa and sighed. He stood up and walked out of the ally way. Walking out of the ally way, he looked back up into the sky. It was clear, and the moon was full. He heard a sound in front of him, and turned his attention to the road. He saw a strange figure, but it seemed familiar for some reason. The figure turned and looked at him in the corner of its eye. It jumped high up upon the roof, and ran off. He wasn’t too worried about the figure. He went back and sat in the ally way, trying to get back to sleep.

Quote: Chapter Four “Possession of Her” Midoriko placed her fingers on her lips, and he was right, they were bleeding. After whipping them with her sleeve, she laid down on the bed and went to sleep. After a few hours later, she opened her eyes. The room was pretty dark, but there was a light shinning into the room. It was the moonlight shinning through the window. There was a window! Midoriko sat up and looked out the window beside the bed. She realised that she was high up. As she was looking out the window, she could smell a strange scent in the room. She sniffed a few times and looked down under the door. A strange purple mist came into the room. She started to feel drowsy; the room became dizzy and she laid back down and fell asleep. She had awaken again, but his time, in a different room. She was laying on her back; she opened her eyes and everything was a blur. She closed her eyes for a moment and opened them back up. There was a figure over top of her. It looked like Lethogar. She tried to rub her eyes but she couldn’t. Something, or someone was holding her down. She blushed slightly, but then realised, it wasn’t Lethogar. She looked at the figure more closely and realised it was the black winged creep who was coming onto her. She tried to squirm, but she couldn’t move. He had her pinned down and she started to panic. He grinned at her and moved his head down and licked her cheek. “Hmm…you taste very, very good.” He was sitting on her, with his hands holding her wrists down. “I think I’ll tell you my name before you forget everything you used to remember.” Midoriko was about to speak, but he moved down and kissed her with a bit of tongue. She moved around and she has his tongue between her teeth. She bit down and he jumped back. He was angry, but he smiled and got off of her. “My name is Adarias. But that’s all you’ll know.” He clapped his hands and a phantom opened the door, holding a black stone on a pillow. It handed Adarias the pillow. He took the stone off of the pillow and he walked back over to her. He sat back on her and he looked over at the Phantom. He set down the pillow and held Midoriko’s wrists down. He smiled and held the stone up in the air. “I know more about you, then you know miss Midoriko.” She tried to get away, or tried to get loose at least, but she couldn’t. Her body was still numbed from when she smelt the mist that came into her room. He placed the black stone at her chest and pushed really hard. The stone began to glow, and forced its way into her body. Midoriko screamed really loud. It was so painful, it was like she landed on a pile of spikes pointing up.
Lethogar laying in his room asleep, he was dreaming. It seemed nice, until he heard Midoriko screaming. He sat up really quickly, and his heart was racing. He jumped out of bed and ran out to the balcony. He looked out and he could smell blood, but it was scattered everywhere he had no idea were it was coming from. He looked around in every direction. He was so confused, he fell on his knee’s and screamed out loud. Kaji and Mathias ran into Lethogar’s room. They saw him kneeling in the balcony balling his eyes out. He knew they came in, he knew they were standing there staring at him. “I can smell her blood…everywhere. I don’t know where its coming from…” They both ran to Lethogar and tried to help him up. But he couldn’t get up, he felt really weak. The guards ran into the room to see what was happening. Mathias told them everything is under control, just wait outside for now. Lethogar started to scream again. ‘Her scent is gone…what ever took her…killed her…’
