- Ensure that the people you recruit are
interested in the subject(s) of the guild.
Use the Gaia search option to try to find people who are
interested in fantasy & other subjects that we deal with.
Make notes on who has recruited who.
Keep track of members. Some change their names around
and then don't tell anyone what their UN was previously.
Please use a banner in your signature if you can.

Standard PM to Inactive Members
We've noticed that you haven't (really) been taking part in the guild (at all) since you joined some time ago. We need members to be active in the guild when they're online, otherwise there's little point in you being a member.
If you're truly interested in the subject areas we provide: fantasy, history, RPGs/fantasy videogames, role-playing, writing and anime, then we're a bit disappointed that you're not taking part. You don't have to be interested in every area of the guild, but activity is required in at least two to three areas besides the general subforums (tavern, marketplace & role-playing hall).
We DO want you in the guild, but if you have no intention of participating frequently or on your own regular basis then let us know if you're going to be leaving or wish to leave so someone can cancel your membership. Otherwise, let us know that you do intend to stay in the guild and will be taking part in the near future.
(If we don't hear anything from you, we'll send you another PM later on. In the case of not hearing from you if you have been signing into Gaia regularly after three PMs from us, you will be banned. We believe this is fair practice, though if you have any suggestions we'll take them on board).
Thank you for your time and we hope to see you in the guild.

Standard PM to New Members
Hello. Just wanted to say welcome to IMAGINE - The Fantasy Guild. Hope you like it and that you can find plenty to do and say. If there's a topic you want to discuss that we don't have already, you're free to start one yourself.
We ask that members be active whenever they are on Gaia. We have problems with users who join and are then never active. If you are going away for a while, there's a "going away" thread that you can post in. If you could make use of as many areas of the guild as possible, that would be fantastic.
If you have any suggestions, please make them known on the designated thread we have in the Lobby. Look forward to seeing you there.

Guild Invite PM
Hello.
You have been invited to the Medieval-Renaissance Fantasy Guild because your interests fit in with the guild's meaning and purpose. After searching
on Gaia's community, we found you and selected you because some if not all of your interests relate to the subjects we deal with in small or exaggerated ways.
The guild currently has on offer: a tavern (for general chat), a museum (for historical discussions), a fantasy conference (for any and all talk on the fantasy genre), a role-playing hall, a marketplace (where contests are advertised and held, and where there are also a few stores - hopefully more in the future), a storeroom for retired and archive threads, a games room, a film & anime lounge, a writer's circle for the literary-minded people and aspiring authors, and a library for you to discuss your favourite books/authors.
There are also jobs available, and not all of them require you to be crew. The management and maintenance roles require you to be crew, so if you want to be any of those you'll need to prove yourself with being active in as many areas of the guild as you can as well as your favourite one(s).
We encourage people to be active. We don't like users who accept invites, or who place a join request and then never turn up and be active in the guild within weeks/months of joining. It's really frustrating and it means we have to chase people and/or ban them.
For more information, please feel free to PM me or the guild's Captain. Otherwise, please click on the banner below, have a look at the guild and submit a join request if you're interested. Hope to see you there.
