Wow, so everything was so different huh? Boys were so..interesting too, Nix would never forget Prince, never ever forget him. He was cool and cute and awesome and such...she'd definitely go find him later on. Though what about everyone else, everyone else like her, like, girls and others. Oh! What if she met one of those wind Soquili's like herself but with wings! That'd be so cool, Nix'Annada wished she could fly.
Though she had no wings, thus no means to fly...
Well, true and untrue, she could fly across the earth on her hooves which carried her over and along anywhere she wished.
Yes, in a manner, she could fly too..though flying through the clouds seemed so much more interesting. Nix was darting through the tall grasses and jumping over anything she could. Jumping was new and exciting for her. Nix was so glad she got away from the wolfess today, she would've never allowed her to jump over things..she might say they were dangerous and risky jumpings to do.

"Steady, almost there..." The male voice continued to soothe and encourage the tiny mare. While she remained latched to the feathered tail of her Uncle to maintain her balance, he made certain that she knew of their progress. His pace was slow in an attempt to make certain she was comfortable and every now and then he would pause briefly to stretch out his wings - for at last his human had seen fit to unbind them following his accident.
He supposed his stiff limbs worked to his niece's advantage as she struggled along unsteadily behind him. No longer a new born and still she lacked the co-ordination to walk without falling on her backside. It was both endearing and worrisome all at the same time - after all, if she couldn't walk properly she couldn't run from predators now could she?
"Remember, do not go too far," He instructed as he came to a halt and glanced round, "Stay where I can see you." He added and flashed a delicate smile as the tiny filly released her grasp on his tail and slowly made her way around his side.
It was then that she paused, her ears swivelled expectantly in an attempt to find any signs of life before she crept forward. Her steps were cautious and her progress was definitely slow but her stride was growing much stronger as her limbs matured. Fair enough, she would forever be clumsy but at least she wouldn't fall every thirty seconds!
"I did it!" She cooed, giving a wag of her tail as she glanced back at her uncle briefly before attempting to quicken her pace. A few trotting steps later and she came to an abrupt halt once more as she caught sight of the creature of blue and white that seemed to be coming closer by the second.
"Eeee!" She shrieked, scrambling with her long limbs as she attempted to duck out of the way (only to stumble unceremoniously onto her backside).

(pssst who's her uncle? X3)
Nix wasn't even paying attention to everything and anything around her, just what was in front of her, but soon enough something paler then her came into view, much, much too fast, trying to skid to a halt and failing at the said attempt Nix skid into a bush...thank goodness no prickle things were in it, those hurt. "I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed, turning, tail flicking once before she tried to compose herself, though she felt as if this one wasn't the only one out here.
Maybe...
But look! This one was just like her, a girl just like her! The day was so great then. "Hi, who're you? I'm Nix'Annada, but you can call me Nix, whatcha doing?" she asked, eyes focusing on the fact the one like her was sitting back..why?

((Grencia, the orange boy in my sig))
"No, it's okay!" Wriggling herself up so that she sat on her rump, the tiny girl placed a bemused smile on her lips and giggled, she had seen the filly coming and had just about gotten out of the way - it seemed the other filly had been thinking the same thing and it brought comfort to Honey to know that she wasn't the only one ramming in to things.
...She talked mighty fast though.
"Me mamma and pappa call me Honeycomb, but ye can call me Honey if ye like," The smile never left her lips as she examined the other filly. For once she was meeting someone that wasn't part of her family or remotely linked to her family.
"And I not be doin' tha' much...me uncle jes' takin' me te see this place! S'real nice but the grass be pretty big too..."

Nix blinked her bright blue eyes, watched and listened, Honey then? Honey it was! The smile on Nix's face suggested and proved that she was very, very excited and happy to meet Honey. Meeting others were bringing such joy to her, Nix wanted to meet as many as she could, would be wonderful she thought...
She thought extremely fast as well...
"Your mom and dad then? Uncle?" her ears flicked back slightly, seemed like everyone around her had family except herself,s he had a wolfess back at the teepee, and a two legger...and a...strange mare was there too. Meh, where were her own parents? "Are they cool what're they like? Whats your uncle like?" her not mentioning her own parents was probably the best, she wouldn't know what to say.
She wished she had family.
"Yea the grass is tall but its so fun to jump over Honey you should try it for sure!"

"Oh well, I don't jump very well," She confessed, pulling herself unsteadily to her feet as she made her way slowly to Nix, her new friend. She seemed nice, pleasant and very well spoken - she reminded Honey of her sister Flossy at points but unlike Flossy, Nix didn't seem like her head was about to explode within the next few minutes!
"Me daddy is like me, only he's got a dark coat and light socks but I gots a light coat and dark socks," She explained, flashing a small smile as she came to a halt again, "Me mama has a really light purplish coat and a big shiny pink heart on her rump - ye should see her hair, it's fluffy and all sorts!" Clearly the little filly loved her parents but at the mention of her uncle she leaned in and whispered in hushed tones.
"Me Uncle though, he's orange like a flame and has these really big multicoloured wings - he glows in the dark too!" She giggled softly and wagged her tail from side to side, "He be lookin' like a shootin' star at night when he flies - he be over that way somewhere. He told me to stay where he could see me so I cannae go that far."

Her family sounded so cool, so interesting. Why didn't she have a family like the same thing? She only had a two legger, a wolfess, and a quiet mare back 'home.' Nix wrinkled her nose in contemplation, thought eh description of her uncle caught Nix's attention, he sounded so unique and stuff! She wondered in awe if her uncle was a wind soquili, just like prince had said.
Oooo! She had to g find prince soon and tell him about what she found out, those she was hearing about and meeting.
"I wish I had a family like that, I don't really know anything about mine really...I just stay in a place with a few others I guess, nothing too fancy. Your uncle sounds super cool though Honey, definitely for sure! I wish I could fly, or that I glowed in the dark," she said with a giggle.
Yea, that'd be super fun.

"Ye can meet him if ye like!" As if her uncle hadn't already met enough foals. He had been babysitter to her father and a few others since he ha arrived in these lands. Well, one could say he had now grown accustomed to the antics of the young and instead of groaning or lecturing he did little more than entertain them with epic stories from the herd he was part of from across the mountain slopes.
"He's real nice - he cannae fly all that well right now cause his wings got hurt but he's gettin' better!" Wagging her tail, she turned around carefully and pointed her muzzle in the direction of his scent. Giving a little whicker she began to trot through the long grasses again and glanced round ever so slightly as she discussed Nix lack of a family.
"Well ye can be me sister if ye like! Me auntie says ye can never have a big enough family!" She pointed out, her smile genuine as she quoted her 'aunt'.

Nix tilted her head and pawed at the ground with her front hooves, "Really?" ooo how intriguing! She could meet a wind and then tell Prince when she found him again! Definitely for sure! Nix followed after Honey at a steady trot like her new friend, and Nix's ears flickered a bit and she watched her friend in silent confusion.
Be her sister but...they weren't related, how could that would?
It wouldn't be right either...
What if her family was still somewhere?
What to do...
"I dunno, that wouldn't be right really cause...its your family after all Honey..." it was true, Nix didn't want to interfere with something that wasn't hers, not at all. "I think I'll be fine, it might make me tougher or somehting...I dunno..."

"Me auntie's family here aren't her real family either -" It was hard to explain, it had even taken Honey a long time to understand. It had been through her uncle's patience alone that he had explained it to her. Through all her questions he had answered truthfully, even if it had resulted in him repeating himself a few times...
"They both adopted each other - me auntie and me grandpa declared themselves honorary brother and sister! That's how our family was born," She wagged her tail from side to side and gave a giggle. "We even call are biggest, bestest friends family because they holds a real special place in our hearts." She did her best to sound as good as her Uncle had when he explained things but she was just a child after all.
She came to a halt and shuffled her hooves briefly.
"We know tha' one day...some of our family may find their real family too but tha' dinnae make them any less special te us and we feel the same way. S'important te feel loved ye know!"
"Well said." The voice above her head agreed, causing her attention to turn upwards where she was greeted by the feather-whiskered face of her uncle. Apparently she had been much closer to him than she realised.
"Uncle Gren! This is Nix, she's my new friend!" The filly positively beamed as the stallion flicked his emerald eyes towards the blue mare.

Nix kept up with Honey, but was still confused/ They would be friends but family? But, wait, how would it work...she wasn't sure about this. If friends being family was the case, then wouldn't that make the wolfess and mare, though as quiet as she was, her family too? If so, then...she couldn't just leave there, and go off with Honey and hers...the wolfess had watched her all this time, and the mare...she had muttered somehting about protecting her not too long ago.
So confusing, why wasn't the world a simpler place?
Nix stopped musing for a moment to have her ice blue eyes settle on a rather bright figure, with wings, her mouth opened slightly as she looked on in awe...she wanted wings, why couldn't she have wings? "Wow..." she said in a whisper.
This was the first Soquili she ever saw with wings!
"H-hi..."

Releasing a chuckle, the stallion was always bemused by the astonished looks upon the faces of foals when they met the likes of him. Those with something 'exotic' usually spurred such remarks and he afforded a smile in reply. As proud as he was of his own appearance, he was not so self indulged as to announce this to a foal and to draw attention to himself in order to gain compliments!
"Good morning, Nix." He replied in a gentle manner, lowering his nose so that he was at the same height as both fillies. Honey seemed to have made a new friend and one he approved of. Alright, so he was judging solely on first impressions but Nix seemed pleasant and good-natured enough to take care of Honey given her problems.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, little one. I trust you are well?"
"Isn't she pretty Gren?" Honey piped up as she nudged affectionately at her uncle and then provided a playful one to Nix. Wagging her tail from side to side she was more than a little interested in receiving approval - if she did then that meant that Honey could go back and play with Nix any time she wanted!
"And real nice too, she even jumps real high!" Pausing only to take a breath, she then continued, "Can we show her how te fish?!"

Nix looked at him in awes still, she seemed awe struck for sure to anyone that might peer in her direction. But how could she not look on in awe and envy! He had wings, he could fly, though perhaps not at that moment but he could at one time or another! How wonderful it would be to fly, then she could fly to see her friends, fly and show Prince. Yes, that'd be lovely she concluded.
"G-good morning sir," she said with a smile and a sway of her short and stubby tail. Nix hoped her tail would grow long and be something almost as wondrous as Prince's, though Prince's was too awesome to match, least for her.
"Yes, yes, I am well, new to adventuring for sure," she said with a nod, but she was happy to be adventuring out and about now and then, "Its fun, seeing new things, meeting others like you, you're so interesting, both of you," Nix said, her eyes darting to settle on Honey as well. Nix blushed slightly at the compliment Honey gave her, she was pretty, really? That was news to her...if she was, she wondered if Prince would ever notice that, or anyone else for that fact.
"I like jumping its fun, its like flying but not as well," she said with a giggle. "Fish?" she asked in question...what was fish?

"Well if you jump high I expect you will be very good at fishing," Grencia agreed as he watched the antics of the pair of fillies. It had been a good idea to bring her down to the lowlands today despite him favouring the highlands on most occasions. In fact, her entire family favoured the mountainsides as opposed to drifting endlessly through forests and grass in high temperatures.
"Unlike you!" Chimed Honey. It was a jest, one to make fun of her uncle who took it with grace and offered a knowing smile. It was renowned in the Islagiatt herd that Grencia was very, very bad at fishing. Most believed he could be good if he put his mind to it but the stallion enjoyed a good water fight more than waiting to lift fish into the air before letting them plunge back into the depths again.
"Unlike me," Grencia agreed in a good natured voice, "But you know I always try my hardest!" He teased, leaning forward to nuzzle the tiny girl before eyeing both of them with critical green eyes. If they got in to any danger in the lake he would be able to use his wings to thrust them back to shore so they were fine to play!
"Let's go then!" Without any more encouragement Honey was springing away with a lot more confidence in her step than before. Given she excelled at fishing, she wasn't afraid of it and therefore didn't seem to stumble. While Grencia followed at a slower pace he was still able to keep track of the pair of fillies as they approached the lake - something he could see over the grasses while Honey darted in a direction she roughly assumed was the right one.
...Just like her father!

Fishing? What was a fish? Nix watched them speak back and forth and she was still confused. What was a fish, was it another type of soquili or...was it another creature like the wolfess only different? Guess she would find out sooner then later."So fishing is hard...or not or....whats a fish though?" she pepped, following them both now.
Honey seemed more confident now, and Nix bounded after her, leaping over taller bunches of grass, ice blue eyes watching, waiting for something to appear. Was a fish big, or was it small? What color was it? Hmm...how did you fish exactly anyway?
"Wait for me Honey!" Nix called, leaping some more again, Nix from a distant would probably look like a deer leaping as they went. But it was fun, and Nix enjoyed it very much so.
