Miri's head lifted, surprise written across her delicate features at the sound of another tromping through the forest. Hazel eyes narrowed slightly, trying to pick out who it was. Funny, she couldn't really make anything out against the ever darkening forest backdrop. Shaking her head, figuring she had come up with the whole thing, she continued on her walk, relaxed with the farmiliar chirping of the crickets as a few rays of sunlight flitered in, dancing over her brown coat.

He scented her easily in his state of being. Of course he noticed everything from the wind to the bugs on the green foilage. He could sense it all through his hearing, his sight, he could even taste it in his mouth, through his hooves he felt it. Someone was near by. He let out a loud nicker not wanting to scare her as he moved closer to her location. "Who's there?" He called, normally he was not so keen on giving away his position when another was near by but deep down he knew whoever this was was not a threat.

She stopped again, ears perked on either side of her curly forlock. So she had been right, someone was there. She tensed, unsure of what to expect. "I should as you the same question." Was her terse reply, eyes searching the forest for the source of the voice. "Please reveal yourself."

Critter came forward through the underbrush to where he knew the one he sensed was at. He stepped through the last of the under brush and stood tall before the mare he had sensed. She was a simply lovely female. If he dared say so even prettier than his mother. "Good evening Miss. I am Critter of the wild thunder herd. I am sorry if I startled you." He said with a polite bow of his head.

Wow, she certainly hadn't expected whoever it was to appear so fast. Usually, others took on a smart aleck approach, asking her to guess or some other rubbish like this. She liked that he just came out. Hazel eyes glanced over him approvingly, finding him highly attractive... Yet, also somewhat farmiliar. "Pleasure to meet you, Critter, and it's quite alright. I'm Miri." She replied, small smile crossing her face as she bowed her head slightly to him.

Critter brought his head out of the bow and smiled at Miri. "Miri... That's a pretty name. And please let the pleasure be mine. I so rarely see others outside my family." He explained as he took in Miri's features. She reminded him of someone he'd seen before.... Like she was the twin of that mare but how could she be...

He was surprised by her question the moment it left her mouth. He'd been thinking the same thing. "I was just wondering that myself. You remind me so much of another mare I've seen before but I just can't put my hoof on it... This is going to sound strange but I almost want to say you remind me of my mothers herd leader."

"Same here.." She replied softly, brow furrowed as she tried to think. Let's see, who did he remind her of.. "Your mother's herd leader? Who was it?" She asked, wondering if there was some sort of connection between her and whoever this herd leader was.

His ears perked at her question. She was just as curious as he was he could tell. "I'm not sure if I am saying this right but I believe her full name was BA Princess Hallany. Everyone just called her Princess."

She blinked, surprised. "Princess Hallany? That's my mother." A small smile crossed over her face, thinking through who all was in her mother's herd. "Your mother... Halloween, was it?"

Critter's eyes widened as she confirmed his suspicisions. He knew that he'd seen her before and now he remembered from where. "Yeah. Halloween's my mom." He said with a grin on his milky white lips. "Wow it's such a small world."

A smile tugged on her lips aswell, glad to have finally figured out where she knew him from. "Yes, certainly is a small world. Wow, I haven't seen you for some time now, how are you?" He certainly had grown up nicely, hadn't he?

Critter nodded and flicked his tail. "I am really good. So happy to see you again. I haven't been able to go see any of the rest of your family in quite sometime. Been keeping mom and Varmint safe since dad's been gone. But what about you? How are you?" Critter asked his ears perked attentively and ready to hear about her. He couldn't stop himself from oogling her. She'd grown up to be even more beautiful than her mother and he'd always thought her mom was hot.
