the beer my uncle left is still in the fridge.
I probably won't like the taste of it, but maybe if I drink it fast enough I won't notice.

Technically, I'm not old enough yet to drink, but my parents don't care, they'll give me stuff. Beer is good.

My parents philosophy is that if you're old enough to fight in a war, then you're old enough to have a beer.

I mean that seems logical doesn't it? If I'm old enough to go off to war and get killed, I should be able to drink at home with my family.
Although, from what I understand, the "21 to drink" rule doesn't apply on military base.

Yeah, but the gov't/interest groups are concerned that some people will distribute beer to students (Not that they already do) and that the number of teen alcoholism related car crash will rise steeply (And they think the number of people 21+ dying in car accidents is smaller than that?).
