Zenithia - 2840
The world is changed from anything that the twenty first century dwellers could ever have thought possible.
2035. The scientists had known for some time that the earth had reached its capacity to adapt, that by this point we would all be living in tropical terrain and unbearable barren heat, or in an ice age, the likes of which had not been seen for a millennia.
Few had dared think it would be the latter.
However, the snows had come, the ice had crept upon them like winter itself, blanketing, creeping over house and home and all land that could be found. Crops, flowers and plants were frozen into the grounds along with any hope of surviving out the long and terrible nightmare. This was not however a season, and there was no ray of shining promise to come with the sun, this white new world was nothing like a wonderland, but a great expanse of nothingness as far as the eye could see.
Those who coped best in the first months were those used to the conditions, the arctic and ice dwellers, those settled already in something akin to the horror of the ice. Reykjavik became a Mecca for scientists and civilians alike, soon the city rose above the clouds- great buildings piercing the sky, humming with the remaining life and looking out over the dystopia of the earth.
By 2840 Reykjavik is too large to resemble anything of its former shell, its expanse covers over half of what used to be known as Iceland, though that name is now used in sardonic Irony by the more morose of the general public. In fact this Zenithia is the only inhabitable occupancy on the surface of the earth. Its walls are almost invisible but they rise in a curve and cover the entire city limits. A bio dome. As long as the citizens stay within those walls they will be safe, will live well. There is no known means of escape anyway, so they are always safe. Perhaps too much so. The city itself contains everything one might need, food and money are generated by the scientists, who, in their rights, run the city. Since they are the ones keeping the populous alive, they are in control. However, the younger generations are restless, having never known anything else, they begin to wonder if earth really stops at the walls of the great sphere. Groups begin to form, rebels and sky pirates begin to meet away from the prying eyes of the scientists and business men in their high-rise offices, and tensions begin to riseā¦.

((im going to RPing with my second character Tabitha. ^_^)) Tabitha sat on the highest building in Zenthia, her short legs waving from the side of the glass and metal frame. She was smiling lightly. Her eyes were gazing down on the lake, the sun shimmering off of it was beautfiul. It made her feel slightly human, but then again a human couldnt jump off that building right then and there and still live. She sighed and got up, feeling quite irritated she wanted to know what was out there beyond the dome. In all her 271 years of living not once had she been outside the dome. But her instincts told her there was something more. Tabitha looked around lazily, she really wasnt in the mood for going in the elevators. So she jumped, curled into a small ball spinning through the air. She hit the water with the tiniest splash, she had been careening so fast that the humans couldnt have spotted her.

*Maya woke up to a nice, sunny day. Not a beautiful, sunny day. Just a nice one. There hadn't been any natural beauty in the world for hundreds of years. Maya had heard stories about greener grass, taller trees, bluer skies, starrier nights. And she had heard about mountains; massive, rocky hills, covered in snow, abundant in strange plants and animals, and reaching up into the clouds. She daydreamed about the olden days for the thousandth time, and then went to open the window. All she had to do was press a button, and the window would open, but she prefered to lift it open, like they did in the olden days. She stared out the window at the building, and the huge lake that made up Zenithia, the huge biodome that everyone lived in. Maya wished she could see the world outside the dome. Maybe the beauty of the past still existed out there. But she quickly gave up on the idea. There was no possible way out of the dome and she would never, ever see anything more than Zenithia.

((Kirus is gonna be human for this one))
The sunlight streaming through the broken window high in the warehouse lit the swirling streams of dust that seemed to inhabit the place any time of the day. Sometimes Kirus wondered if, inside this bounded dome, would there one day be nothing but dust. There was nowhere for such things to go. No rain to wash it away. The boy turned over, the dirty blanket he was sleeping on rustled stiff against him, tugging as he moved, he coughed once. He had only ever read of rain, he wondered what it would feel like, taste like, smell like. He would never know.
He raised his hands to rub across his face, rough pads running dirt across grime. He sighed, stretched and coughed again, before throwing his blanket back and sitting up to face the day. Casting his gaze around the warehouse, he brushed his hands through knotted hair, a black mass that reached to the small of his back, most of which had dreadlocked itself, or was in the beginning stages. Some sections towards the front had been braided, coloured glass beads and feathers hanging in a few of the matted strands.
Nothing had changed in the large building, the boxes were all in the same place, not that it really mattered, no one had attemped to wake him that night, and that was good enough for him. He stood, revealing taupe shorts, straps hanging about them, looking like they could be useful to someone who had things to carry, his shirt was much the same, gray and buckled, his coat sleveless and leather, reaching to his knees. Rolling his blanket until it was small enough to force into a canvas backpack, which he slung onto his back before casting a last look at the warehouse and marching out into the daylight.

Tabitha plummeted into the shining water head first, it was cool and soothing. After at least a few minutes in the mysterious lake her small bobbing head appeared about the glistening water. She glanced around, the humans along the boardwalk and the streets, hadnt seen her. Good. She didnt exactly want the word to get out that she was an immortal being, in this day and age they would probably try to kill her, fail, then she would have no where to run too.
Another sigh escaped her lips as she pulled herself out of the cold water, the warm breeze almost instantly drying her. She wore red shorts, with most of her leg down to her knees bound in white bandages, she never understood why she felt so strong with the wraps on. A white and red tank top fell perfectly over her chest, she was short very short, And looked young. Her bleach blonde hair draped over her right eye.
She sighed yet again, and began walking down her way.

Green eyes blinked up into the brightness of the day, his left blind, a little gift from his father, he shook knotted locks away from his face, that whipped around him with the wind harping over the sea. All artificial. Strange that the scientists in this dome would spend their lives making huge silent fans to recreate what earth might have been like to the naked elements, but never decide if they could live outside of this sacred dome. It had been too long, the dome was all they knew; yet it had not been long enough, the memories of the outside, the horrors, those lost, were still in families routes, great grandfathers from faded photographs, for those which had not been lost to technology.
The majority of the race inside the dome, Kirus summarised were children of the new age, humans who would never see the outside of the dome, the younger of whom did not know such a thing ever existed. For most, it was enough knowing that inside they were safe and warm, and could live easily. For Kirus, this was not always true, so his mind began to wander, and he found himself looking more and more skywards, intent staring to see if he could find the glimmer that proved they were all encased, trapped.
He sighed and shook his head, breaking himself from his daydream. He really was a dreamer, and it got him in more trouble than he would like. Kirus turned on his heal coming from the warehouse and begun walking towards the waters edge. The dock warehouses were the best to stay in he found, they were rarely disturbed, there were not real exports or imports, but there was a fishing trade, and breakfast was easy to swipe from some monger, the fishers also worked early, and their chatter would wake him before anyone else could.

Tabitha walked along the side of the lake, she remembered how it had changed over the many years, it looked so different from the day she was born. A small smile played across her lips touching her amber-red eyes. But she kept her head slightly down. She spotted the playing fish with ease they were a bright green color, Tabitha knew that they were artificial. The scientists had put them in th lake to entertain the humans. Robots, creations of the evil ones. Tabitha liked calling the scientists the evil ones. she smiled again and remembered her vow, She would find a way out of the dome, the world infected or not.

He rounded the corner, the 'sea breeze' whipping hair around his face and stinging his face, he blinked into it, and srhugged his coat on up his body a little, and wished he had some sleeves. Then again, for the most part Zenithia was kept at a constant temperature to please the citizens.
He ducked under some tarp and into another warehouse, hit in the face by the scent of fish, his stomach turned a little. Huh, guess theres no breakfast today then. He'd probably drunk a little too much last night, but then he was tyring to fit in with the crowd he'd been with, sky pirates back from a mission, it didnt happen very often, and usually it meant they were happy enough to buy random people in the bar alot of drinks. He wouldnt complain.
He passed through the building and out onto the waterfront. The noise hitting him just as forcefully as the stench of fish had. It was always busiest this time in the morning. It was easy for him to pass through the hustle and bustle and not get noticed, whether he just wanted to blend in enough to be left alone or if he wanted to be invisible enough to be able to swipe someones watch or wallet.
He blanched to the right as someone bumped into him, forcing his shoulder back. "jerk" he muttered under his breath, the noise of the crowd would have covered him if he had shouted it.
His hand came to his face however holding up a watch, silver, junk. He sighed. Just another replica of something more expensive. How did people expect him to eat when they bought junk? Funny thing was, the real rich boffs didnt come down here, they stayed in their highrise towers, silver points peircing the sky as they looked over their city and goverened all the people they would never know.

Tabitha sighed and kept waling she needed to get to the dock quickly or some out of place pirate would take her ship. Her legs kicked into full gear as she streaked through the crowd in the fish industry. A small red blurr. She was dressed in the classic sky pirate colors so it was obvious to passerbyers that she was somewhat of a threat. Finally, she reached the north end of the dock. Her ship the "Crouching weasel" was parked elegantly on the end. She strode up to it.

*Maya decided one thing then and there. She was going to join the sky pirates. Their aim was to get out of the dome somehow, and back into the natural world. She would join them and help them in any way she could to get out of the dome. Within five minutes she was out the door of her apartment and she was walking down the street. She had no idea where she could find the pirates, as their meeting places were kept extremely secret, but she could try to find out. She stopped next to a stranger on the street, who she could sense was not one of the scientists. "Excuse me," she said, "would you happen to know anything about the, um, organization of...people who want to get out of the dome?"
