It was spring finally, and winter had just thawed, its icy grip fleeing the Southern area of Meith Foraois. Grass woke from its long slumber under its frozen blanket, reaching up to the heavens. Trees dripped with residue from late leaving snow, their bodies bare. Song’s could be heard ringing throughout the land, bouncing against the northern mountains, embracing the coming new year.
The whole land seemed to be celebrating it’s rebirthing, taking a breath into the new shed of light, and warm winds that seemed to caress all it bypassed. Wild birds of different sorts joined together in tall trees, ruffling up their feathers and greeting once known acquaintances. Everything was at peace and harmony, regaining where it left off from before the winter. Infant buds from flowers began to appear all around, tightly closed, waiting for the Sun to hold them in its’ sight. Happiness could be felt ever where that was passed, yet some did not see or feel it.
A quickening wind could be heard in the forest, which was now naked, and could reveal all it’s secrets. Some sort of long figure could be seen weaving through the trees expertly, not hesitating or slowing at all. Only a blur of blue then coal could be seen as it darted about, barely making a sound as its legs touched the earth. Reaching the end of the forest, it stopped abruptly. Finally the being could be made out. A strong, tall, male Foxtaur gazed at the forest opening, unmoving. It was a rare site, since Foxtaurs do not inhabit in Meith Foraois often, but it was not unheard of. He was rather handsome, which made him intimidating. His rump was a dull coal color, his bushy tail the same color except the tip, which was orange. The front of his fox body was a sapphire blue, which was a strange color to have as a Foxtaur. His hind legs were striped the same sapphire blue, and his front legs were striped coal black. On his head was crimson orange short hair, and fashioned in orange spikes. A pair of bright emerald eyes scanned the area, piercing and sharp. On his long, tan, muscular arms, he wore two long sleeves that were connected by a thick gold ring at the top of his bicep. They were a blood red color of satin, and a small gold ring on his middle finger, connected to the end of the sleeves. Jewelry of all sorts and shapes rested on his fingers and ears.
Every time his ears swiveled around, the earrings would jingle gently, whispering their presence. Looking to the opening, a vast sea of wet grass and mountains behind it, he glared. A snarl was on his face, a canine showing, seeing all of nature’s glee for spring revisiting. God…why is it so peaceful here? It’s disgusting…he thought. Stepping out into the open, noticing that there was no danger. He reached to a necklace dangling around his neck. Placing his fingers around it gently, he gave it a little squeeze. His long handsome face showed no smile, or happiness, his eyes at a constant glare, pained and adamant.
It had been far ways from Nathair Inis, but he was determined. Not telling his ‘friends’ where he had went didn’t bother him at all; he liked to keep secretive. He couldn’t trust anyone except two exceptional people, but one of them was missing.
Lowering himself down next to a towering old Maple, he exhaled, gem eyes gazing to the never ceasing sky, in hopes of an answer. I will find you…Alexandria.
