It may be cheesey but it is true! cheese_whine I just want to get a topic in the guide about using powers. I like my ability to control emotions others to my will, and I use it often.... but how far is too far? For instance, me and my friend got into a fight stressed and it was building up to blows being exchanged, so I used my powers to relax him and calm him down stare --against his will. I also use my powers to silence my younger siblings when they are being annoying, and on my parents when I want something. Is it really wrong to use my powers like that? Most of my intentions are good, and I don't hurt anyone. It's not like I make them kill themselves or something!!! 3nodding Well, please give your opion on the matter!

Personally, I do use my abilities on some other people, but typically for harmless things, never to pry... (Typically I just try to judge a person's mood with empathy so I don't end up in a sticky situation, not much more.)
The worst "Crime" I've done with them is probably trying to find out why a friend's mom was so mad at her, I guess...
I typically use them on people with permission though, or at least /try/ to.
...Or, in the case that I have no permission or can't ask, I typically try to go with necessary (If, that is, there is something necessary, sometimes there isn't) things only and stop there.

Personally, I never ask someone's permission to use any of my abilities unless it's an exorcism..., that doesn't work very well without the consent of the victim. My guide is a little stricter, though, so don't think I'm a loose cannon. My rules are never to do anything solely for my own benefit, to hurt someone, or without the consent of God...and yes, I do ask.
I think we could all take a little hint from the wiccans on not doing this sort of thing for personal gain. It's not a good idea.

Say, my friend is possessed, unable to speak, and the demon is going to kill her if I don't do something. I can't exactly get her permission, now can I? Or, let's say my friend is pregnant, dead on her feet, unable to sleep and she doesn't know about my, errr, talents, is scratching her back a little while quietly shooting white energy into her a bad thing? Gives her a little pick me up and she's none the wiser. The first example is extreme, the second one isn't...but either way it's a case of whether or not to act is between the individual and God.

Just be careful that you don't start to abuse it. As for the friend case w/ relaxing him.. That was probaly for the best because you wouldv'e ended up exchanging blows and that ain't cool.... I do w/e I want, but have no desire to exploit things for personal gain usually. Things like 'talking' to animals and feeling their emotions to see what they want and etc I don't usually count. Its more like info exchange or something.. I do use it for entertainment tho, not really against people however and thats the diffrence. As for the permission thing, i have attacked people who attacked me first. And I noticed that if that person is of God, I cannot do bad damage to them. Because God or whoever protects that person, so I stay away from that.
