A pure white pelt faded into the golden grasses, the black patch upon her eye merely sifting into the shadows as the femme darted through the high grasses, barely visible. A pink tongue ran over pearly white jawls as she watched the herd that was so close to her. For a while she'd been working off of smaller prey, rabbits and snakes, even the little field mice. But now, now she just wanted bigger meat, stronger and juicier, even if she had to go out of her way to get it.
Paws worked delicately with each step, trying to make the least sound possible. The herd was grazing, the antelope's short tails swishing back and forth, trying to swat at oncoming flies. Towards the back of the group, was an elder. Obviously alot less than he was when he was younger, but still a good meal. Amaterasu smiled to herself, locking onto that one. The mid-day's sun baked down on her back, warming her pelt easily as she slid along.

Golden eyes watched the herd from behind a rock. She usually wouldn't go against a herd herself, but she was starving and was getting restless. Her purple body was crouched and pulled close together. Les picked up a scent of a dog. What foul creatures, scooping out the same herd.
Maybe she'd just steal it's kill, instead of killing her own. Her tail twitched impaciently, and her stomach growled. The leopard shifted her weight from on paw to the other as she waited and watched, but she wouldn't be able to wait much longer. However she made no sound, yet.

From her position upwind the maned wolf couldn't smell hide or hair of the cat, simply the odor of the parading beasts before her. A white paw lifted, preparing itself for another planned step in the grass when she stopped, her body going rigged for a moment and a vision passing before her eyes, temporarily throwing her off. It was just a glimpse, golden eyes, and then, it was over.
That was....strange. That was the first involuntary vision she'd had in a while, usually Amma was able to able to control them. Slightly frustrated, the wolf shook her head, trying to rid herself from the negative thoughts arising. The motion was enough to send the antelope into a whooping frenzy, bounding off. "Darn.." she growled, shooting off towards the herd, a white blur behind the pounding hooves.

Leswiswana was about to give up on the wolf and go after the antelope herself, but it seemed the canine screwed up her stalking and sent the prey into a panic. Some of the herd was coming toward her rock, her joints felt like springs, coiled and ready to pounce. Timing was crucial.
All she needed was a small one, a little cripple, or a young babe. Her hopes answered, a young calf went slightly outside the group, Les Launched herself out at it with a loud roar of releif, and landed perfectly on it's hind quarters. Her claws dug in to keep the animal with her, and her teeth sank into it's back to weaken it. She would feast today.

The femme cursed her luck as the herd took a quick veer, making the beast she'd picked out herself out of range and on the exact opposite side Amaterasu was racing on. But still, apparently not all her luck had run out, a spindly youngling pushed momentarily from the group, in close range to her. Springing forwards, the maned wolf grabbed hold of it's back leg, before a flash of purple unexpectedly launched itself onto the prey's back.
Wheeling around violently, the leg grasped firmly in her jaw, she went down as the antelope did, the thundering footsteps dying away as quickly as they came. No mother mourned the loss of her baby, no pronged creature coming to try to get it back. She looked upwards hesitantly, ready to defend this prey if needed. It was her food, and she would eat it.
