“Ah, what a beautiful day, eh Ji?” Kita looked down to her little mouse friend who was curled into a perfect ball half way under her tail. She wasn’t sure if he was still completely asleep or just faking it because he didn’t want to get up. The little mouse yawned, and blinked up at kita with her face nose to nose with his. She sneezed. “Your awake I see.” she smiled, pushing him up with her muzzle. Ji blinked, yawned, stretched, and curled up again. “Come on!” Kita wined, and pushed him up again and again. He didn’t move. She smiled and looked to a small little flower that was beside him. She crept over the little mouse and touched the small little flower, watching its colors grow fuller, and size get larger. She watched until the flower lifted her little friend with its large leaves. “Oh ji… jiiiii.” she giggled, watching the mouse’s expression go from “leave me alone” to “what the?”. He practically had a heart attack. Standing on his back paws he squeaked as he pointed in a ‘nono’ fashion at her. Kita frowned like she was about to cry, but the mouse quickly gave in to her ways. “Eee! I love you ji.” she laughed, and pushed the mouse up onto her neck so she could make her daily walk.

The air was humid, but the temperatures weren’t high enough to be a bother. The trees gave a great deal of shade, and made it more comfortable in this situation. Frolicking forward kita kept her eyes open for anything unusual, or that needed some renewing. The forest had many different things to look forward to, and that was the one thing she loved most, nature.

Tithe never did enjoy being inland, since there was no ocean to be in sight.
Back on her diet of wild berries and fruit, she decided to go back to the center of honshu.
As much as she would have loved to spend her days frolicking with the seabirds,
she was a bit weak from her meager diet of human food. And after the long journey here,
she wasn't feeling much better.

Taking in the lucious green landscape, she stood in awe if her childhood home.
It seemed more beautiful than she remembered.

Gladly targeting a few strawberries in the distance, Tithe soon reached them and gobbled them up.

Hearing a soft voice in the distance, she spun around, suprised to see
a pretty female kuniku among the flowers. Tithe tilted her head and watched her,
trying to figure out who she was talking to.

Kita mumbled something looking at ji and when she looked up she realized another kuniku. The pretty bright markings of the figure were gorgeous, and kita couldn’t resist looking at them. She stopped her pace, and realized that the other one was looking at her already. She blinked. Said nothing. Blinked again.

Well this was awkward, kita thought to herself. Sitting rump to the ground she wasn’t sure what to say. Being so far inland she didn’t have any conversations with anyone but ji, and he couldn’t reply like one of the kuniku species could. They really couldn’t communicate at all but with expressions and noise making. It would be very interesting to have a conversation with another kuniku, seeing it had been so long.

Seeing that the female turned around and looked at Tithe,
and awkwardness was one of her least favorite things, she got up, tail in the air,
and decided to introduce herself, slightly matting the grass under her slender paws.

When she was near enough to be well heard, Tithe sat down again,
this time facing the white female only a few feet away.

" Morning. "

And then came a wide grin.
Ah, sweet communication.

Kita watched as the kuniku grew closer. The others small femine figure showed kita that it was probably a female. Yes, she was a female. Kita sat, wondering if the female was going to break the awkward silence. She grew closer, sat, and did so. Kita smiled when the other said something, that was much better. But, when kita was about to reply, Ji decided to do it for her.

Ji was and has always been protective of kita. He didn’t like anyone but her, and often showed up anyone who would talk to her, kuniku or not. Fur up, he squeaked and hissed standing at kita’s feet. She looked down, growled at ji, and pushed him back with her front paw. “Ignore him. He is cranky in the morning. Heh.” she attempted a smile, and turned back to the female. “Im Kita.” she grinned, trying to keep ji pinned to the ground with her other paw, while he hissed in reply.

Tithe curiously eyeballed the little creature, and almost forgot about replying.

"What d'ya feed it?"

Wow. Stupid.
Tithe was definately thinking that was a horrid reply. She sounded like some sort of thug. Plus, she was supposed to know about the wildlife here.

After a little spark of silence, she quickly added.
"I'm Tithe."

Kita glared at ji, then looked back up. "Uh.. he is a little cranky in the morning, thats all." she laughed, listening to the name. Hopefully she wouldn't reply and say it wrong. That would be a great embarrassment. "Nice to meet you tithe" She nodded, and smiled. When ji was finally done with his little grawling noises, she decided to lift her paw for him to walk as he pleased. Standing down she was ready to push him back if he decided to pull one of his little stunts again. "Watch it ji." she looked down to him again, then returned her gaze to tithe. Smiled again, and wondered what to say.

Tithe just gave the little critter a sharp glance, and lightly scoffed as he was making a fool of himself. She was usually pretty open and kind, but never really liked foolish behavior.

Smelling the warm, wet air, and watching some golden clouds at a distance, she looked back at Kita, who oddly reminded her about green glades and tall trees.

Oh, how she missed the brisk cold water on her face! The smell of salt and brine, the little seabirds that she made friends with!

But of course, she had to admit, it was beautiful here, if not a bit more foreign.

"Say, do you know of a water source around here?"
