Where the coolest shops, restaurants, and arcades are. Anything you need to buy, you can probably find somewhere here. For some reason, an area here seems to be strong with magic. But why worry about that?

Night giggled happily as she entered a small cafe. It was not that well known compared to the other cafes in that district, that was why only a few people including the connoisseurs knew about it.
The cafe had a distinct coffee smell, that all other aura were diminished once you enter the place. The waitresses and waiters there were friendly too, the dishes and desserts; so delectable and incomparable to the other cafes.
"Good afternoon, Ma'm!" The waitress greeted Night with much enthusiasm. "Good afternoon, I shall have the usual please." She said, flamboyantly, waving her finger that seemed to have magical dusts. The waitress who had succumb in a trance, nodded, and hurriedly went inside the kitchen to deliver the lady's order.
Night grinned to herself. It was her first day out of her house since the time she arrived in Tomoeda, and and.....she can't remember.
After minutes of waiting, Night was served a leche flan, hot chocolate, and a clubhouse sandwich. She smiled at the waitress and started to eat.

Kaoru looked at himself in the window of a small cafe.
"My Kaoru, how wonderful you look today!" He said fixing his jacket. He looked through the window and saw a charming girl eating food.
"She looks spelndiforous!" He said using his own word as he walked through the doors and straight up to the girl's table. He sat in the chair across from her and said, "Well there's no way a girl like you can be here without a guy to join you. What's the explanation for this?" He smiled at the girl and stuck out his hand, "The name's Kaoru,"

Night took a quick glance at Kaoru, then looked away. Oblivious of the hand he held out for her to take.
"I'm Night."
Picking up her teacup, she slowly drinked from it, blowing softly on it from time to time.
"If I may ask, what business do you have here? I don't talk to strangers especially those who are assertive, unless you can prove yourself to be worthy." She said indifferently with a smirk.

Kaoru smiled and said, "Well, my business here..hmm. I just go wherever time pulls me to go, and it's pulled me here! And besides, what's wrong with talking to strangers who are teenagers? It's not like I'm going to do something," He said with a laugh. He looked at Night and cocked his head.
Is that magic coming off her? he thought.

"Well...." Night stammered and flushed, putting her cup down. "...well!"
"I'm new here at Tomoeda. So...I'm rather intimidated with you people." She whispered softly but loud enough for him to hear, with much truthfulness in her eyes. Picking up the leche flan, she passed it to him.
"Here, you can have this."

Kaoru sighed in relief. He picked up a fork and started to eat the flan Night offered him.
"So," Kaoru swallowed, "Miss Night. What brings you to Tomoeda? You don't look like you're from here, I assume." He smiled and leaned in to whisper to her, "I can personally show you around sometime, you know, so you can enjoy the city a bit more."

When Kaoru leaned in to whisper to her, Night sniffed out a different kind of magic. "Oui, I'll be glad to take that offer." She leaned and whispered back.
Sitting back to her original position, she continued. "I'm from France."
She grinned and advanced on. "And you? Where are you from? I don't think you're from here....rather, anywhere in the world."
She bit on her sandwich, a thought running through her mind.
"I know you know what I meant by what you know, what I said."

Kaoru grinned.
"Your a clever one, eh?" He laughed and said, "Hmmm, I'm just human! In a complicated kind of way, like, the magic is what I am but I'm on Earth in the form of a human," He thought of a way to explain it without giving too much away.
"I'm everywhere at once, you know? I'm like the thing that can't be stopped without me stopping it." He grinned and played with his hair a bit before asking, "So by your magic imprint I'd say you're a cardcaptor? Or am I wrong?"

Night raised an eyebrow. This guy was surely good in changing the subject at hand. "I have to be clever, I have a mission...."
Night ate the last of the sandwich and took a sip of hot chocolate which was oddly placed in a teacup.
"You guessed right. I am a cardcaptor." She said. Night didn't actually got what he said, for the fact that it was vaguely given, but she did not want to expound on it anymore.
He has magic though, alright.
"Your presence here, if I have deducted right, has something to do with us, the cardcaptors, hm?" While asking this, she signed the bill.

A playful smile took Kaoru's face.
This is fun, He thought. He took Night's hand, looked her in the eyes and said in his smoothest voice, "I just go where time takes me, and it's taken me here with you."

Night removed her hand from his grasp and went out of the shop. "You should know. Speaking of magic in the public may endanger your life. Whether you're a magical being or not." She smirked, leaving the shop and continued to walk, leaving Kaoru behind.

Kaoru clenched his fist and started to mutter under his breath. A bluish smoke seemed to be coming out of his mouth as he muttered. It swirled around in little circles and out towards Night, turning a nice red. He stared her down, as everything else seemed to stop except Night. He looked at the clock, the hands had stopped moving and he smirked.
No one says anyhing like that to Kaoru Morika.He thought waiting for her to notice that everything had frozen. He hid in a nearby ally to watch.

Sighing, Night continued to walk but after a couple of minutes, she noticed that two people were frozen; they were in the middle of jogging towards the sports center, there was also a dog, who was just in the middle of shouting at someone. Everything around Night was surrounded with complete silence, as if it were possible, frozen in time. What? What is this? Quickly turning around, Kaoru was already out of sight. Night went back to the cafe but he was also not there.
Night scowled, Darn it. I knew he was planning something...but what if it were not him? Someone else who has magic over time, but who? Clow Reed, The Time?
Whoever that was, she thought, she had to devise a plan and who knows, the culprit might just appear before her; jackpot? Could be.
"Maaaan, who could that be?" Night yelled. "He sure made one hell of a mess, messing with time. My sched is plainly ruined!" She waved her hands back and forth in annoyance, pushed a guy down on the floor who was also frozen in time, and just sat on the benches where the guy was once seated.
