Status: GUILD WORTHY

An idea that has been tossed around for ages. The RP system. I personally don't mind ethier way wether we have one or not. Although RP systems limit god modding almost absolutely.

If you are interested in creating a system, these are the systems we would need:

Weapon System
Money System
Battle System
PostPosted: Tue Jul 17, 2007 1:14 pm

I have a system for a Nartuto Rp i was starting, but never got around to it. If I can find it, I'll post it up.

~Edit~

Found it. A bit complicated, but I'll add anything you guys add into it so we can make it everyone's and not just mine. Keep in mind that I copied this word for word from my other site, so some things may not make sense.

Name:

Age:

Country: ( choose one of the villages )

Rank: ( everyone starts at academy student, unless i say otherwise )

Jutsu Style Preference: ( Pick one, and that will be your Strongest jutsu. You will be able to use the others, but not as effectively )

Bloodline Name: ( Be creative. Don't just pick an over used bloodline like sharingan! Describe it, the symbol, and the bloodline limit. )

Appearence: ( Can be photo or description )

Biography: ( your character's past. Not optional )

Jutsus learned: ( choose three low level Jutsu. Leave this blank until the jutsu list is up. )

Alright, now here comes the tricky part. This roleplay will use a stat system, because it makes battles easier. You get 1000 points to distribute among these Categories:

Vitality:
Chakra:
Strength:
Endurence:
Mental Endurance:
Dexterity:
Bloodline:
Intelligence:

Here are the descriptions for each category.

Vitality-Basically, its your health. When this runs out, you die. If you are in a training match, you are knocked unconcious for awhile.

Chakra: Basically, the strength of your jutsus.
Strength: Your Physical strength. This affects how far you can throw objects, and how much damage you can cause using martial arts.

Endurence: How much Physical pain you can endure.

Mental Endurence: How much your mind can take before it snaps. This effects when and how you can use your bloodline limit. It also affects how well you resist illusions.

Dexterity: Your speed. This effects how well you can avoid attacks.

Bloodline: Determines the strength of your bloodline limit.

Intelligence: How well you can spot traps, and hidden objects. Also affects what Jutsus you can learn.

And a sample sheet

Name: Uzumaki Naruto

Age: 15

Rank: Event Character

Jutsu Style Preference: Ninjutsu

Country: Leaf

Bloodline Name: Kyuubi Chakra. Naruto can tap into his fox demon's chakra pool, giving him unlimited chakra. It also doubles his stats and makes his taijutsu twice as strong.

Appearence: user posted image

Biography: A mischievous young boy who, due to the "stigma" of having the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox sealed within him, is shunned by the adults of Hidden Leaf Village, since he is the "vessel" of the demon who had killed so many people in the village twelve years ago. Before he was aware of this fact, Naruto was simply a young orphan, living alone in his house, eating his "cup ramen" (instant cup noodles), and basically getting attention to himself by being a brat. He would pull pranks, and vandalize monuments and statues. He even made fun of his ninja apprenticeship classes, inventing "stupid ninja skills" as "Sexy no Jutsu", where instead of transforming his appearance to look like his teacher, he turns in to a naked, blonde girl!
Naruto is not without "serious ninja skills", however. His specialty is the "Kage Bunhsin no Jutsu", learned from a forbidden secret scroll he was tricked into stealing. In contrast to the normal "Bunshin" (clone illusions) done by ordinary ninjas, the "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu" produces multiple "Shadow Clones" of the user, with actual physical bodies. In short, Naruto can create real duplicates of himself (or anything else) and each of the duplicates can physically affect his enemies just like the real thing!
The shocking revelation about the demon sealed within him changes Naruto's perspective, however. Naruto now believes that the only way the people of the village to accept him and acknoledge him as a citizen of the village is to train hard and become the village's next "Hokage" (the highest-level ninja and leader of all ninjas in the village). This would be his new goal, and he is determined to achieve it no matter what.

Jutsus learned: Sexy no Jutsu, Kage Bunshin No Jutsu, Bunshin No Jutsu, Henge No Jutsu, Rasengan, Boss frog Summon, Uzumaki Naruto Nisen Rendan , Uzumaki Naruto Bunshin Gachandou, Uzumaki Naruto Yonsen Rendan, Uzumaki Naruto rendan, Rasengan, Bunshin Rasengan, 1,000 years of pain.

Vitality: 125
Chakra: 150
Strength: 150
Endurence: 200
Mental Endurance: 25
Dexterity: 100
Bloodline: 225
Intelligence: 25

So heres the basic taijutsu attack.

You roll a six-sided dice(dice or die, I really have no clue which one is used in this situation.)

Here is the situation.
Quote:

A random sound ninja runs at Bob sending a kick towards his face.

Quote:

In this case we need only see the Sound-nin's Melee stats.

Strength: 25
Str Mod: 5
Melee Aim: 7
Taijutsu: 40
Tai Mod: 8

Quote:
Let's say he rolled a 5, and his Melee aim is 7.

So the Sound-nin's attack accuracy is 5 (The roll) + 7 (Melee aim) = 12
Attack Accuracy: 12

To dodge you do not roll a dice.

Bob has a Dodge Rate of 11, If Bob had a Dodge Rate of 13 he would of Dodged the attack, but since Bob's Dodge rate is only 11; Bob is hit.

Now since the sound-nin did not attack with a weapon, to determine damage, he must do this:

Quote:
Taijutsu Dmg(Tai Mod + Str Mod) + Max Weapon Damage

The weapon damage for a plain kick or punch is 1 - 3

So the formula comes out to: (Tai Mod + Str Mod) + Max Weapon Dmg

13 + 3 = 16

So the damage of the attack comes out to 1 - 16

1 Being the minimum damage and 16 being the maximum.

Quote:

NOW, The sound ninja would use Gaia's "Post Action: Random Number" feature.

Generate a random number from: 1 to: 16

Lets say the sound ninja got lucky and got a 14

Now that this is done with, we need to find out how much of the 15 damage Bob will take.

Bob has a Melee Defense of: 5

So now we subtract Bob's Melee Defense from the Sound-nin's 15 point damage

Leaving us with the number 10

Which means, Bob was hit with 10 damage. Bob must now subtract 9 points from his Health. Unfortunately for Bob; Bob only have a total of 10 Health.

Quote:

Does this mean Bob is dead?

Of course not! An important part of RPing, is allowing other players to live (Unless you want to kill them) in order to build fueds and storylines. When a player's Health is reduced to 0 the character is knocked-out.

While knocked-out, a player cannot do anything. Untill he wakes up. In order to wake up, you must wait for 5 posts, then your character will awaken with 1 Health. This should allow you to escape to a hospital or to find a medical ninja.

Quote:

In order to KILL a player, you must reduce his Health to -20, When a character reaches -20 health he dies. Remember; You only have five points to kill a player if that is your goal, because they will be revived 5 posts after they were knocked-out.

Each line on this bar will represent 100 stat points
PostPosted: Sat Jul 21, 2007 9:32 am

Rank represents how powerful your character has become. After acquiring a certain amount of experience, your character will gain a Rank. At Rank 5 it will only take 500 Exp. to elevate your character to Rank 6. Then, at Rank 6, it will require you to obtain 1000 Exp. in order to rank up to Rank 7.

Rank 1 - 5:
500 Exp.

Rank 6 - 20:
1,000 Exp.

Rank 21 - 25:
2,000 Exp.

Rank 26 - 35
4000 Exp.

Rank 36 - 40
8,000 Exp.

Rank 41 - 50
16,000 Exp.

Rank 51 - 65
32,000 Exp.

Rank 66 - 80
64,000 Exp.

Rank 81 - 90
128,000 Exp.

Rank 91
150,000 Exp.

Rank 92
170,000 Exp.

Rank 93
185,000 Exp.

Rank 94
200,000 Exp.

Rank 95
220,000 Exp.

Rank 96
240,000 Exp.

Rank 97
260,000 Exp.

Rank 98
285,000 Exp.

Rank 99
300,000 Exp.

Rank 100
400,000 Exp.

I like it, however I do believe that many people that many people who would otherwise join will not find this a good alternative to regular RPing, so I suggest we simply take the stat system and use it as guidelines for RPing-

Without damage formulas, the rank/stat system will show players exactly how strong they are in comparison to other characters, but not causing a huge fuss about all of the rolling and calculations to be done, so every can still have a good time.

I do believe that this system is a good idea, well thought-out and all- however, I am not a fan of it myself, and I'm sure that I speak for many possible recruits for the guild when I say that it would simply take far too much work to accomplish.

I'm not a real big fan of systems, and I perfer the basic FFA style RP. I just made this system because I got a good idea and exploited it.

Quote:

Option 2:
Players will consulte their charts and stats, in order to determine things which happen in the battle. if a character's Dexterity is high, That character is naturally faster than people with a low Dexterity.

Vitality: High vitality = Health and Defense against physical and ninjutsu.
Stamina: How much chakra and energy you have.
Dexterity: Speed, Long-Range weapon strength, and Dodge ability.
Strength: Melee strength.
Intelligence: How smart your character is, and Genjutsu defense.
Genjutsu: The higher your genjutsu stat the higher your Genjutsu attack is
Taijutsu: The higher your Taijutsu stat the higher your Taijutsu attack is.
Ninjutsu: The higher your Ninjutsu stat the higher your Ninjutsu attack is.

Although, id still like to create some form of weapon system.

Intelligence: 125
Genjutsu: 125
Taijutsu: 125

It's becoming too complicated. Let's take everything that we have and try to make a simple, bare bones system out of it.

First, stats:

We don't need stat modifiers at the moment, Taijutsu being affected by Attack and Defense while Ninjutsu/Genjutsu is covered by Spec. Attack And Spec. Defense works fine.

Next. Damage Formulas:

There is no need to roll dice, in my opinion. We could always go back to how it was in the 80s and have someone be a GM. Although that does mean we will have to figure out a way for the GM to calculate the formulas, or make it simple and do Attack - Defense = Damage.

You know what? I have an idea.

SCREW IT.

Lets do this old school!
For now lets toss the RP System on the backburner, and get on with the RP. While we RP we can begin to create a system. If the guild is a sucess, we can use the system after it's completed.

For now, we can just use the stats as guidelines.

Well, if we're going to get started with the stat system, we have to consider that each of our characters is meant to be the most powerful shinobi in the world...

How much should each of our favorites receive, or how much should a kage receive, in comparison to a genin, for that manner?
PostPosted: Sun Jul 29, 2007 1:02 pm

User Image

Kage stat distribution should be "465" and base should be "265"

Champion is your village's elite ninja, their unique ninja. My village has Shonin for example, while Konoha has Senin, and Ouka has Kannin, then last but not least Tetsu has Wannin. These all fall under the chapion class. Since they are the champions of your village.

These are the official base stats.

Rank stat increases by finishing missions.

1 D ranked missions = 0.5 rank
1 C ranked mission = 1 rank
1 B ranked mission = 1.5 rank
1 A ranked mission = 2 rank
1 S ranked mission = 3 rank

After you reach rank 15, you can no longer recieve "rank ups" from missions lower than rank C

After you reach rank 30, you can no longer recieve "rank ups" from missions lower than rank B

After you reach rank 50, you can no longer recieve "rank ups" from missions lower than rank A

After you reach rank 65, you only recieve 1 "rank up" for each A ranked mission. (In other words you only gain half as much exp as you used to.)

The bonuses of leveling up the old fashion way:

When a character *Reaches* rank 3 via "Ranking up" he will get a 15 point distribution bonus.
at rank 10 he gets a 20 point distribution bonus.
at rank 35 he gets a 50 point distribution bonus.
at rank 40 he gets a 10 point distribution bonus.
at rank 60 he gets a 40 point distribution bonus.
at rank 80 he gets a 100 point distribution bonus.
at rank 100 he gets a 200 point distribution bonus.
If a character becomes a champion he gets a 55 point distribution bonus. (and he gains 50 points in each stat.)
If a character becomes a kage he gets a 100 point distribution bonus. (and he gains 100 points in each stat.)
If a character becomes a missing-nin he gets a 20 point distribution bonus.
If a character started at rank 1 and made it to rank 100 he gets a 200 point distribution bonus.

For every "Rank up!" (Level up) characters will recive 5 points to distribute.

ALTHOUGH: Characters rank 30 and below. will recieve 10 points per rank up.

This is to make the system more interesting, as the end result of someone who started out as a Rank one student and ranked himself up to a powerful ninja (Rank 100), will be much more powerful than a ninja who started at an already high rank. (Which of course would take hard work and lots of free time.) (...and thats assuming he doesn't die and lose all his work.)

A level 100 kage, who started off as a kage will have:
665 distribution points with a base of 265
Total: 2785

While a level 100 kage who started off as nothing rank 1 student:
1320 distribution points with a base of 160
Total: 2600

Okay, so starter kage have higher stats overall, but their stats are less flexible, because they need to have a minimum pf 265 in each stat. While a kage who worked his way up can customise his stats more, since he only needs to have a minimum of 160 in each stat.

Here's Jing. Like alwasy, Jing's lowest stat was his stamina, as you may rememember from other RP's i've been in. He rarely ever uses Ninjutsu in a fight, even though it is his dominate stat. He usually only uses Genjutsu and Taijutsu, as well as summoning jutsu. Because his stamina is so low, he gets tierd quickly and runs out of chakra fast. Since his chakra pool is so low, he usually uses many warrior pills to keep on fighting, and many weapons shuch as the Ryogae shuriken. (Dollar bill shuriken.)

RANK: 80

Vitality: 300
Stamina: 270
Dexterity: 300
Strength: 290
Intelligence: 315
Genjutsu: 310
Taijutsu: 325
Ninjutsu: 475
