Memory? He had starred at his clipboard for a while trying to figure out some way that one could work on a skill like memory. Nothing really came to mind to begin with. Normally he was one to train kids in the more physical things but once and a while he would get a skill like this. Once there was 'Control' he had to teach or another time he had to help a kid learn to Purify things... so this would be no different something would come to mind...

He leaned back in his chair starring up at the ceiling... and then it seemed to clean as he starred up at the ceiling fan and its four blades. There was a game, one that had four buttons with four different colors that involved memory, Simon wasn't it? Then there was that other game, the one that just involved cards with the same name as the skill that was needing to be taught, Memory.

It was perfect!

The redhead soon was off to set things up, the cards all laid out where they needed to be face down as was part of the rules of the game and where there was some empty space sat Simon. Both games were now awaiting the student to show up.

Liang held her grey sweater close around herself as she made her way through the building. Professor Solon, that's what Ul had told her. Something about learning to control a new skill. She had had to leave the tempermental dragon home, which left the tall preteen nervous and a bit on edge. She hadn't been out of the house much lately, and it was having an effect on her. Finding an open door, she knocked on the frame, cautiously leaning her head inside. "Hello?" she squeaked, hoping she wasn't interupting someone else's class.

Orpheus looked up from the clipboard he was scribbling down some notes on at the sound of the voice and pushed to his feet, "Hello there, you must be Liang?" He guessed, walking over to her, "My name is Orpheus Solon, Orpheus is fine though." He had no use for formalities as he felt odd being called 'Mr. Solon'. It made him feel even older then he was already.

"Ok Mister Orpheus," she said softly, cheeks blushing a faint pink when she realized she was the only one there. "Um," she started, "Are we waiting on anyone else or is it just... Us?" It was fairly obvious that she wasn't too comfortable being alone with anyone, mostly because it meant that there would be pressure on her to talk. But he was a teacher, and a lot of teachers had rules against talking, right? She took a few steps in the door and sat down across from him, glancing down at the cards and the colorful circle.

"Nope, its just the two of us today. Most of my classes are one on one because it makes it easier for me to teach my students." He said, well that and it was rare to find two students needing to learn a similar skill at the same time as one another.

He motioned to the two games, "Today we are going to work on the skill of memory. Both of these games were designed to test that one of them using colors and patterns while the other uses pictures." He explained, "Which would you like to try first?"

Liang seemed to think about it for a moment, then set her hand on the Simon. "I think I want to try this one," she said softly, "It's the colors, right?" Colors couldn't be tricky, right? She knew she would have to try the other sometime, but she wanted to put off her embarassment for as long as possible.

He nodded, "Alright, all you need to do is repeat what it show you to do after pressing the start button." He said, sliding it closer to her and moved the box of cards out of the way for now, "It will give a color and you press that color, then it will give two colors and then you press them in the order they appear and so on."

It was a simple enough game until it got to the stage of have a dozen colors in the pattern then it got a bit brain melting.

Liang nodded, running her hand over the face of the toy. She tapped the blue button when it flashed, then the red, the yellow, the blue again. A look of concentration came over her face as she pulled her wings tight around herself, her movements becoming slower. It got to where there were nine colors, then ten, and then she hesitated. Was it green, or red? Her hand danced between the two, then she chose the red. The toy gave a loud beep and circled the colors, startling her. "What happened?" she asked, tears welling up in her eyes, "Did I fail?"

Orpheus gave a shake of his head, "You lost that round of the game but didn't fail the class." He said in an assuring voice, "In fact you did a lot better then I did with that game and on your first try at it."

He was pretty impressed, she'd gotten a rather high number of colors in a row and kept them memorized for a good amount of time, "How about you try the game again, see if you can beat your score while I set up the cards." He suggested as he opened up the box to the Memory game. He took out the square shaped cards, mixed them up, and set to laying them out on the table between them.

Liang started the game again, hesitating this time. She got nine rounds this time, and was beginning to get more comfortable when it buzzed again. "Shoot," she muttered, blushing when she noticed what she'd said. "I'm sorry," she added, hoping she wouldn't get in trouble.

Orpheus smiled, "Thats alright." Definately not the worst that he'd ever heard before, even from one her age. He looked up at her, "Alright, cards are all set up and ready."

He looked at the back of the box for a moment then smiled, "Sounds easy enough. Just match pairs of the pictures that are on the cards." He said motioning to her to make her first try at this new game.

(( Gonna make it 16 cards so its easier/quicker class wise. ^_^ ))

She nodded, sliding to be in front of the cards. Cautiously she picked one up, showings its blue square to him. She put it down face up, glancing to him for instruction. "So now I just pick another one up, right? And then if they're wrong I turn them over?" She had played a game like this before with Tangia, it wasn't so bad.

Orpheus gave a nod of his head, "Exactly like that." He said. A game of this along with the couple games of Simon should tell him what he needed to know for his notes that were to be sent to those in charge.

"Don't worry about not getting pairs to begin with, the first couple moves are just figuring out where things are." He said, "Aside from those times where one is lucky and got a pair right off."

She nodded, hovering her hand over the second card she had turned. It had been a picture of the sun, but since it hadn't matched she had turned it back over. "Can I pick this one again?" she asked cautiously, not wanting to mess up when he was apparently pleased with her performance. She remembered where the sqaure was, so at least she wouldn't pick that one again.

Orpheus nodded, lifting his clipboard up he made a quick and messy sketch of the sixteen card layout and marked down where each of the cards she'd already flipped were for his reference then off to the side a check mark to mark how many tries she'd made thus far.

"Yes, turn them over in any order you like so long as you don't turn over anymore then two at a time."
