there was once a king whos name was Vlad. we know him better as Dracula. and who is one of the new characters. Vladimir Von Helson. so put 2 and 2 together. it is on the History channel right now. if dracula was a "vamp" and his name was Vlad this might be the final nail in the coffin about Vladimir being a vamp

Not to say that Vladmir is Dracula, but moreso just to act like they know what they are doing, know their facts. I don't believe this has anything to do with the plot. But good job anyway

Right Vlad the impaler. An ancient king who used to drink and eat in front of his starving enemies.
I thought that was just common knowledge. XD

Vlad Tepes is actually probably not the source of the Dracula myth. Though he was known for his unusual brutality towards his enemies, he was actually a fair ruler to his subjects.
However, I always thought it was common knowledge that Tepes was the archetype for Dracula, combined with another person. I forget her name, but I think she was a duchess, and had a tendency to kidnap virgins from the village and bathe in their blood to stay beautiful. That is more than likely the true origin of the blood portion of the myth along with the aristocracy portion of it.

Of course as long as we are exploring the Vlad portion of it, we should explore the Von Helson part of the equation too. Von Helson is similar to the name Van Hellsing, who in Dracula were vampire hunters.
So, to explore a possible angle not yet thought of apparently, The Von Helsons could possibly be against the vampires instead of the vampires themselves.

i never really thought about that even though sometimes i would almost type van hellsing. what if the helson sisters are actually werewolves since hellsing was a werewolf in the movie.

Well, Van Hellsing in the movie was another thing altogether. I am going back to the origin of the name which was Bram Stroker's Dracula. They were not werewolves in that book. While we are at it, we could possibly explore the Hellsing Manga series too.

Her name was Duchess Elisabeth Bathory. She was accused of numerous sadistic crimes and was imprisoned in her castle. She also had a lesbian lover, her maid. smile

Quinn Cillian Her name was Duchess Elisabeth Bathory. She was accused of numerous sadistic crimes and was imprisoned in her castle. She also had a lesbian lover, her maid. smile Thank you Quinn. She wasn't caught and nobody cared about her sadism until she ganked a nobleman's daughter. THEN people took notice. and chances are that maid was more of a love slave than anything from what I know of her. XD
