Quote: Dear Guardian(s), I thought it might be a pleasant idea to have a small gathering where the kids could play and interact with one another. I have a friend who has a small house on a lake that is willing to let us use the area while he is away. So I am inviting you and your children to come by on the date provided for activities, fun, and maybe a bit of relaxation on your part. You do not have to bring anything, though I suggest the toddlers and children wear swimsuits under their clothes and bring floaties if they cannot swim. Inclosed is a set of directions to the lake, the starting point being the Liberty Center. It is accompanied by a set of phone numbers in case of confusion or questions. We hope to see you there. -The Ta'rish'e Family Victor leaned forward against the pic-nic table, looking out across the green grass and the rippling blue lake beyond. He had decided to invite some of Riley's friends, and their families, to join them today. If no one chose to come it could simply be a nice outing for the family. However, he did hope to meet a few more guardians and he knew Riley would enjoy having kids her own ages to play around with. Luckily he hadn't told her anyone was coming, not wanting to disappoint her if no one showed up.
So, Riley was busy bothering Mikael and Runeh. Or...well, getting pushed around by the two of them. Mikael had her in a headlock while Runeh gave her a complimentary noogie despite her kicking and shouting in defiance. Learning self defence seemed of little use when it came to the twins, who were bigger and out numbered her by one. But obviously such a situation was common, for neither Victor, Liam, nor even Kai tried to stop it. It was all good fun, really. Sort of.

"This is the place," Shade said as he reached the lake, looking around blankly. "So that's her last name, he said finally, making Antony look up.
"Whose?" the boy asked, looking around. He almost groaned at the sight of Riley and her brothers. "Why did we come again?"
"The subtle promise of free food and swimming?" Shade asked.
"I don't know how to swim," Antony said.
"Good time to learn, then."

When the Escalera's had recieved the invitation Manuela had been over the moon. Sure she didn't really know how to swim, but surely someone there would be able to help her. She and her mother had read over the instructions, and since it was a little too far to walk they had planned a series of bus rides that would take them close to it.
Now as they exited the bus Manuela skipped down and onto the grass tailed by her mother. The child was wearing a black tankini, covered up only by a pair of jeans. She had wanted to go barefoot, but on Estelle's request had donned sandals for the occasion.
Estelle on the other hand, was dressed in something unusual for her, a tshirt and knee shorts, with her braided hair down and uncovered. She was excited for this, it would give her a chance to talk to some of the other parents, and getaways like this were things the kids would remember.

Having parked somewhere far away, Ashley was moaning on and on about the discomforts of her outfit in the 'wilderness' while Sunny watched Harper toddle over 'nature' with a smile.
"He's really learning fast, Ashley. I didn't think this was a good idea but I'll admit, I'd miss him if he left now..." Sunny said, a bit of affection in his voice.
"Stop talking. We really need to stop listening to those stupid messages on those stupid boards, or atleast send Eliot with Harper instead." Ashley hissed. Finally, they got within range of the other bird-child's family and their respective lakeside area.
"Great. About time. I thought we were going to have to call park rangers out to pick up the scraps of my weather beaten, animal gnawed body at this rate.." Ashley mumbled.
"Are you serious? Woah. Ashley. You alright?" Sunny said suddenly, watching as his sister took a face dive into 'nature' after tripping on a twig in her amazing four inch heeled boots. She gave a scream that was suddenly muffled by grass and dirt, and Harper's loud giggling covered any other noise she might have made.
Harper instantly jumped onto his mother's back and began jumping up and down. "Mommy try get up, I won't let youuuu!"
Sunny, looking at the massive collection of brothers and poor (abused) child before them, gave a sheepish wave. "Uh. Hello." He said, only then noticing the other groups coming toward the same general area as well.

Kisala was, thankfully, asleep from the drive over. Though Shiori much preferred not to drive if at all possible, she knew that it was sometimes necessary, and this lake house was rather far away from the areas she was used to.
She had pulled the toddler out of her car seat, somehow managing to keep her asleep in the process, and walked towards the house. This was the right address, and she saw a few others gathered about, some of whom she recognized, if vaguely.
Kisala gave a yawn and stretched out, opening her eyes and peering sleepily about her. Her little face lit up with excitement when she realized that she was not in familiar territory-- she was certainly up for a bit of exploration!
She had on a bright yellow swimsuit with an orange skirt attached to the bottom and green water-wings. Shiori didn't particularly like the colour-scheme herself, but it had seemed to please the little one, and really, she didn't care so much about it.
She was herself in a deep green two-piece with a pair of loose white pants over it. She'd have to get wet if Kisala did, and she didn't want to get her regular clothing wet. Besides, the swimsuit showed off her tattoos nicely, and she was quite proud of them.
"Hello there," she said, spotting the group of young men, women, and children slowly gathering around a picnic table.

"Arrrhhh! Let me go! Get off me! I'm going to kick you so hard-!" Riley shouted kicking and squirming and being a handful all together. If it had been anyone else she probably would have gotten loose. The only reason Mikael's arm finally dropped down to let her tumble into the grass was because people had arrived. It looked like the sibling wars would be over, for now.
"Ahh! Welcome to the lake!" Runeh murmured with a smooth, sly smile while making a sort of bow to the new-comers.
Riley sputtered, getting the grass out of her mouth as she stood back up, giving the twins an awful glower. But such a look quickly vanished when she saw a bunch of familiar faces arriving. She wiped her hands on her T-shirt and shorts, which covered up her full piece bathing suit, and grinned brightly at Manny and Antony, "Hey guys!" She looked over at Harper. She didn't know his name but..."Hey binkie boy!"

Antony was feeling rather underdressed again in his long blue swimtrunks and blue tank top, but Shade had dressed him again. It was getting irritating when his father did that. He nodded at Riley, then smiled brightly and waved as he caught sight of Manuela, letting the smile stay as he looked around.
Maybe this wouldn't be so bad, after all.
"Hey, Victor," Shade said, waving at the one brother he knew. "I was going to teach the kid how to swim while we're here. That okay?"

"Hey Riley!" Manny shouted, jogging down the hill carefully as her mother shouted a warning about falling and getting too deep in the water. Ok, whatever, she was going to talk to her friend now. As soon as she got close enough she gave the girl a quick hug and took a place at her side, looking over the others that were arriving. Antony, and Harper, and the guy from the salon, and some angry woman she didn't know. Super cool.
Estelle wasn't too worried about Manny, the girl was pretty tough, but that didn't mean she wanted to see her get hurt. She frowned when her warnings were shrugged off, but attributed it to the presence of friends. Kids were like that sometimes afterall, trying to look cool. Lowering her sunglasses over her eyes she headed toward the the two men she had met before. They seemed to be the adults in charge here. Sort of. "This was nice of you guys," she offered, though she wasn't really sure what they had in store for the bunch.

"I know, I'm just that kind of guy," Mikael said, puffing up like a rooster before Runeh shot him down with a simple, "Yes, Victor's plans were very nice...and Liam's connections are quite wonderful." So much for this being Mikael's doing.
Victor had finally stood up, drifting over to greet the guests. He nodded Shade with a friendly gesture of his hand, "By all means, feel free. Riley knows how, for the most part, so she can help. Or any of us can assist as well." He offered a smile to all the other adults, "Welcome to the lake! I'm Victor and I'd like you all to make yourselves at home. We've got food over on the tables and some games and toys scattered about for the kids. There's a dock down there on the shore, so feel free to have a swim."
Kai hovered next to Victor, looking far more reserved then his elder brother. Which he was. "Um...if any of you don't wish to get wet I'll take the toddlers in the water. I dont' mind."
Riley hugged Manny tightly and then let go, taking a bouncing step back from excitement. "Lets go get in the water!" she suggested with shining eyes.

(( I know I have a billion different names for my characters, my apologies sad And Soloman is not Sunny/Vincent, Dulcea xD DONT WORRY I GET CONFUSED TOO.
*edited))
"MY BINKIE." Harper explained loudly. His voice, albeit loud, was somewhat lost among the others and their swim excitement. He pouted, and before he could* counteract, was pushed off his mother when she rolled away from him.
He fell into the grass with a small thunk and glared at Ashley, who glared back at him. "That was mean, little brat..."
"Stop calling him that!" Sunny yelled.
So, the three were having some obvious sort of trouble in their miniature deranged family. Smartly, Sunny stuck his nose in the air and decided to take up the argument later.
"Come on Harper, let's go make you some friends. Not that Ashley knows anything about friends." He took Harper's hand and lead him toward the others, mostly toward the other guys/parental figures.
"Right. So. Uh. This is Harper. I'm Vincent." Sunny said.
"HI MANNY!"
"I guess he knows some of your kids..."

Kisala babbled delightedly as the other children moved around her, reaching about for whatever passed her by--particularly if it was anything shiny. Absently, Shiori pushed the child's hands down lest she hurt someone and moved forward, bowing respectfully at Victor and the others, "Greetings. Thank you for allowing us to come. I am Shiori Tonbo of the Order of the Dragon, from the Peridot clan."
She felt very formal amongst all these who seemed to know each other, but she didn't want to be rude, "And this is Kisala."
The little girl squirmed, trying desperately to get out of her adoptive mother's arms, but Shiori held her firmly-- if she let Kisala go now, there was no telling what mischief she'd get into before she was caught. There was too much open space for it.
She looked towards the lake thoughtfully, then decided to wait. Let Kisala socialize-- or at least watch the bigger kids-- a bit, then she'd take her to the water.

(( Oh crud, I knew Soloman wasn't Sunny I just read it as Soloman, sorry about that. xD ))
Swimming! That would be fantastic. She looked up when she heard Harper calling her name, and waved at him before looking back to Riley. "Maybe we could take Harper with us? I think he wants away from his parents," she laughed, noting the struggle between him and his mother. She was always up for the kid, he's was a refreshing boost of energy to any situation.
Estelle tended toward Mikael, though she wasn't too sure why since their last encounter had been a bit odd. But familiarity of any kind was nice. She cracked a smile when the young boy called Manuela's name, she remembered seeing him in the salon, "Yes, Manny is a good girl, I'm sure she's been kind to him." As opposed to being mean, well, some kids were mean to younger kids and took advantage of them, Manny kind of liked having them around, at least this one. For a moment as another woman joined them she felt underprepared, then looked around the group. "I'm sorry, my name is Estelle Ceballos-Escalera, I'm Manuela's mother."

"Off with the shirt, kid," Shade said as he tugged his own off and headed for the dock.
Antony nodded and pulled his own shirt off, a bit reluctantly. He wasn't sure he wanted to learn to swim, but the water was almost blue, which made it a good thing. And as he had once read somewhere, Princes should excel in all manners of sports, including swimming.
Or maybe he had made that up, he wasn't sure. "Can we swim with you, Manuela?" he asked as he caught sight of the two girls. "Riley?" he added a bit belatedly.

"You mean binkie boy? Sure, why not?" Riley grinned, happy to bring along any friend to Manny's. So what if she poked him with a toy sword while pretending to be a pirate? She didn't have any hard feelings. It wasn't her style. She quickly turned at Antony's question. Sticking out her tongue good naturedly she laughed, "You don't need to ask silly! Of course you can." She pulled off her shorts and shirt, promptly handing them to Kai who took them without objection due to being a bit startled. "Last one in's a rotten egg!" She jeered cheerfully before racing down towards the water.
"A pleasure to meet you, Shiori, and you Kisala," Victor said with a warm, welcoming expression. He also gave a friendly nod towards Estelle, "It's nice to finally meet you, Estelle. I've heard good things from my younger brothers and sister." When he said good it meant he had heard enough clean things from the twins' mouths to get a good impression of her. Well, maybe Mikael wasn't a complete pig after all.

Harper wriggled with great discontent. "Let me go! I wanna go!" He squealed, flailing at the other kids running off. Sighing, Sunny knelt down and strapped the poor boy with water wings, before pushing him toward the other kids.
"Don't drown." Sunny muttered passively, glancing back at his sister. "Ashley, make sure your son doesn't die. It's a little too early on in life for him to sacrifice himself to your abundant laziness." With that, he turned toward the other parents and then instantly looked at the floor. He backed up about two steps, gripping his other hand tightly, and then looked toward the kids. "How fast do they grow?" He asked, quietly, it wouldn't be surprising if nobody payed attention to the question.
Ashley, muttering something about nature still, began making her way toward the water to keep an eye on Harper.
Harper, looking like that stupid blueberry girl in Willy Wonka after she ate the gum she wasn't supposed to, wobbled slowly after the others. The ridiculous water wings were practically as thick as he was, and he was getting REALLY ticked off with each passing second. "I wanna come TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..." He informed the others, though, of course, they likely knew.
