So I'm watching this Discovery Channel future medicine special right now and they are saying in the year 2057 robotic arms will be doing surgery on us. A Doctor will be controling them from a touch screne type of computer and deciding what to cut and where to cut but I wouldn't want any machine doing major surgery on me! Machines break down and malfunction ALL the time! One slight problem with the sensitivity device that mimicks the doctors movements and the machine could cut just a wee bit too far, but that wee bit could be just enough to kill you. Does this sound like a bad idea to anyone else? I just couldn't trust a machine to work that delicate.

Erm... No thanks. sweatdrop The idea of surgery in general makes me uncomfortable.

I don't like how more and more each year, human society gets more and more dependant on devices. The more we get dependant, the useless we'll become when it comes to like. other skills besides working machines. >.<
This year, I thought we were just going to do a regular scantron thing for all my finals, but every teacher in the school suggested we take every final on a computer in the school library. Do you know how much it tired my eyes? >.<

I hate the computer tests! We normaly use scantrons too but every so often to prepare us for the state board exam the have us do a computer test and it's horrible! I like to go back and double check all my answers when I finish and with the computer you have to slowly go back one question at a time=/

ugh ya and people say it's more advanced. and they have all these little icons so you could scratch out answer choices or highlight words, but it takes so much freakin time compared to just using a pencil. >.< lol

I'm glad most my tests are on scantrons. I think the teachers like the computer because it's less time for them because with scantrons you have to feed each one through a machine one at a time. With the computer they just push a button and bam! there all the scores are. So to save themselfs an hour of work they make us work longer. xp
