Ellie walked with her arm looped in Baizou's, as they headed up the path that approached the city of lights and happy music. Wtih a small laugh, Ellie bumped into her husband, pushing him over a little bit. Suddenly, the bushes rustled, and faster than she could blink, someone had pinned Baizou to the ground. "Stop it! Stop it!" Ellie exclaimed, kicking the man in the ribs.
"Filthy human! No purpose with royalty!" he exclaimed, arms pinning the poor 'royalty's husband to the ground. "Leave this place at once! M-miss? I saw you pushing him away!"

Before Baizou even had a chance to kid back, he was pushed down mid-giggle. "What?" He didn't have much time to react. Firstly, he'd expected a totally different insult. He was never honored with the term 'human' before by any sort of official. "I am her husband!" He pleaded, suddenly wondering what that made him in the hierarchy. He had actually never thought about it, before. "Eeeellie!"

Ellie rolled her eyes, and crossed her arms. Acting chaotic right now just wasn't going to help her. "Stand down." she commanded, kicking the man again, with a swift foot. Looking to Baizou, she mouthed an apology, and stuck out her tongue.
Three more men came jogging up, some with sticks in their hair, or leaves on their clothing. "Miss!" they all exclaimed, suddenly at attention. Ellie only rolled her eyes to this, and pointed at the one still squishing her husband. "She's not married! Er.. Right?" some of the other guards shrugged and one of them nodded. "According to gos-sip!" the man said in a very feminine sing song voice, earning him a punch from a bigger guard. The one on Baizou gave the red head a menacing look, as he stood. "You stink like a human." he spat, and walked into line with the other three. "We had no idea you'd be arriving, Miss Elisan."

As soon as he was free, Baizou skittered back and rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry." He muttered to them as he got to his feet and brushed himself off. He hesitantly approached Ellie as if expecting someone to shove him down again. "Are you all right?" He asked her, looking behind him as he shook the dirt from his tail.

"Fine. As long as you men stand down." she said firmly, her own eyes menacing and causing the men to shrink back. With nods from them, they all skittered off ,but not without one final glare to Baizou. "I'm really, really sorry. I really had no idea they'd recognize.. I didn't know.." she whined, as she clung to her husband. "C'mon now, let's go have ourselves some fun."

Baizou put one arm around her waist and shrugged, "It is all right. It was exciting!" He said, gazing around at all the carnival sights. The smells of different foods invaded his nose and made him smile in pleasure. "Your people really have an impressive display." He commented, lacing his fingers in hers as they walked. "What did you want to do first, love?" He asked.

"Uh, I dunno!" she exclaimed, snuggling up to his side. He was still just as perfect.. And it almost felt like she had to entertain his awesome-ness. She pointed an excited finger to a carnival game, which required you to loop bottles. "We can waste a little money, and then ride a ferris wheel." she exlcaimed, smiling, and pulling him over to the small booth. The man behind the booth handed her the rings without asking for any money, making her sigh and roll her eyes. Extending the amount anyways, he handed rings to Baizou. "Good luck!"

Baizou scanned the many prizes, wondering what he should toss for. And what sort of carnival experience would if be if he didn't win a prize for his lover. He decided a giant stuffed panda would be his goal and aimed for higher up. He blew the first two rings, but now he had a good idea of the distance and the force he needed to exert. He leaned inside the booth, tongue resting on his upper lip, and his tail curled in concentration. The ring flew through the air as if in slow motion. Baizou leaned in more as he chewed his bottom lip. The ring bounced off the rim of the highest bottle and fell. Fortunately, it landed around one of the lower prizes, earning him a small violently pink stuffed rabbit. His ears dropped in disappointment, but he accepted the rabbit with a smile. "I was going to get you the panda, but..." He held the rabbit out to Ellie and smiled. "For you!"

Ellie could not help but giggle at the entire show of Baizou's concentration, and sheer need to win. The first ring was tossed high up, of hers, and totally missed. The other two landed in the middle, earning her a big prize, three small ones, or two medium ones. "Whaddaya want, love?" she teased, as she took the stuffed rabbit. "It is fantastic..." she replied, snuggling into it. "I will never, ever lose it." she said, and then laughed. Rubbing it against his chest, she drew it back. Yes! It smelt like him, now!

Baizou blushed as she achieved exactly what he had failed to do. He looked over the various plushies. "How about we both pick a medium one?" He asked, then paused when she rubbed the rabbit against him, "Love, what are you doing?" He asked with a small chuckle.

Ellie blushed furiously in response to Baizou, and pointed to a medium sized red cat. Also taking it into her arms, she shook her head. "It smells like you now.." she said very softly. Pushing it off of the subject, she smiled. Pick one so we can go ride a ride!" she exclaimed, nuzzling up to her husband.

Baizou seemed to blush more than he already was and quickly picked a stuffed monkey. "Would you like me to hug the other one?" He asked, recovering cooly as he wrapped his arms around her from behind between her wings, "Or would you rather me hold you forever?" He asked as he waddled them closer to the ferris wheel.

People stared and pointed as they walked, making Ellie fume, but she shrugged it off, and decided to just plain ol' enjoy herself. "How about both." she replied, breaking from him to walk more easily. Lacing her hand in his, she smiled up at the towering ride. "I might not like heights, I do not remember."

Baizou, squeezed her hand and got a sniff of her emotions. "Do not pay attention to them. They do not matter to us. He advised, standing at the base of the ferris wheel. "Heights? Love, of all the times you flew away from me when you were mad at me, you must be able to tolerate them." He teased as he walked onto a cart with her. "If not, I will hold you until we come down." He offered.

"Yeah, yeah." she replied, climbing into the cart. Huddling next to her husband, she sighed. "Baizou, what's a goal you have?" she questioned, wrapping her hand in his. Turning to the side a little bit, she rest her back against the side of the cart, and settled her legs over his lap.
