Which Football team do you think is the greatest of all time? WHich team is the greatest today?

Football is a close one between the Packers and the Bears. Both teams won World Championsips before the Super Bowl came around. But I'll go with the Pakers because they have the Super Bowl trophie named after one of their former coaches. Right now it would be the Colts because of their Super Bowl and their constant winning from years before.

i think the 49ers and the cowboys were one of the best teams of all time and the bears now because the bears have a good defense but a decent offense

Well, you can't just look at Super Bowls. The Bears and Pakers were winning World Championships before the Super Bowl even exsisted.

I would have to say the best team ever would have to be the 72 Dolphins. Perfect season. Can't be better than that.

The best franchise would have to be the Packers. They won the most championships.

Currently, the best team would have to be the Colts of the Patriots.

the best football team in the past was the 85-86 bears, and right now the bears as well biggrin

85 Bears, Beast of a Defense, that could tear anybody apart, the great Payton, and smart, not great, quarter back.
why not the 72' dolphins? sure they won all there games including the championship, but i doubt they had a challenge then... sure they kept it consistant, which is amazing, but they'd die again the bears

Best now, not sure, to many teams have there ups and downs. Patriots are great, yet overrated, maybe this year they'll be great. Colts.. offense is the most explosive ever, but there defense can crumble after one starter is gone.

i'd say the charger, sure they didnt get past one game in the playoffs, but they have a better all around team, reciever arent great, but the ball is spread. Pass defense aint great, but they choked, i can see potential back there though. The rush is incredible, and un hurtable nomatter who is lost (merriman)

If you're talking overall as a Franchise, the San Francisco 49ers don't have much competition.

If you're talking about best team ever, in a single year... I'd have to say the 72' dolphins just because they're the only undefeated team... ever.

the greatest teams, back then, would have to be the packers and the bears. the greatest teams now... i'm going to have to go with the patriots. they're the only team, that i know of in the nfl today, that have made their way to consecutive super bowls and won consecutive super bowl titles. how can you not say that they are the greatest team now?
