Tough choice. I dont think I could live in one place, maybe I would be a nomad. But if I really had to... probably Luin.

Taitachi Tough choice. I dont think I could live in one place, maybe I would be a nomad. But if I really had to... probably Luin. I agree with you, on the 'nomadic' bit. I don't think I'd be able to stay put if I was there. But of course, there are a couple towns I'd prefer.
Offhand, I'd say Mizuho, but that'd be exceedingly difficult. They have a very isolationist nature, and I doubt someone without connections to the village would be allowed to settle there without marrying into a family. I think the most probable settlement for myself would be either Luin, Asgard, or Iselia (And perhaps Palmacosta.) * if it were to be rebuilt, of course* Flanoir is the only other Tethe'allan city I'd be able to stand for large amounts of time. Nevertheless, continual winter would be a bit too much for me, snow bunny and skiing nut that I am. The Sylvarant cities just seem far more friendly than those in Tethe'alla. Perhaps this is a result of their far longer period of prosperity? I don't know.

Flanoir is my favorite city but...I'd never be able to live there. sweatdrop I hate Snow, and cold, and winter makes me feel depressed.
Probably Iselia, nice an calm there, nothing really happens, like is relaxed and familiar. The kind of thing I like.

Yeah, but the Mayor is an self-righteous S.O.B. ...Come to think of it, he may not be the mayor anymore, not after Chocolat's little soliloquy...I think Iselia would be a bit too boring for me. Like you said, nothing really happens.

Nor do I react well to stress =)

Chief Mithos Norisu mizuho,or that deris kharlahn place Derris-Kharlan...would be far too cold of a place for me. I don't mean temperature, either. Think about it. The entire city is filled, essentially, with walking, (Flying?) talking dead people! Unless you brought a bunch of people up with you and made some major modifications to the place, I couldn't stand to live there.
Of course, that doesn't change the fact that it'd be an incredibly cool place to visit.

I have no quarrels against Iselia itself, being the lovely calm, relaxing town that it is, but I'd certainly like to have a smidgen more activity that I don't think Iselia could offer more than biyearly.

Omg...this is funny - my brother asks this question all the time when we are playing...I think its some kind of pathetic attempt to bother me...
ANYWAYS>>>>>> I'd pick meltokio or the floating half-elven village (I have no idea why...but I think it would be cool to be half elf and half human)

You do know that they'd never let you stay there, right? It's supposed to be a Half-Elf haven with no outsiders (i.e. - non Half-Elven) there at all. I mean, they only tolerated the Regeneration Company because they were just that! I don't think a regular human would even be allowed to land.
And don't worry about it...Nerds are awesome. I'd know, being a geek myself.
