Hello everyone. This is really bothering me and the only person who could fully agree with me was my mother. I would like to share this with you guys.

One of my good friends dad shoots squrriles. This really bothers me and I wished he would stop but he has never shot one infront of me before....until today. My two friends and myself were on her tramplein and suddenlyshe screams and there is a dieing squrrile. We all know her father shot it before and I really wanted to help it. Her finaly comes out side, whips out his gun and shoot the thing right in front of me. That really upset me and made me feel very comfortable. I called my mum and came srtaight home and no I want to talk about it. The second shot was to put it out of its misery but why shoot it in the first place? I...I am really upset about this and would love to here what you have to say about it.

Okay yeah I can see shooting something to put it out of it's misery well that's just being humaine. But injurying it in the first place?! Yeah that's too much for me. If he uses the excuse of "controlling the population" tell him to relocate them or pick a more accurate death that has less chance of them being injured and more having a painless death.

I know most people would say something like "Oh it's just a squirrel" but thats the thing it's just a squirrel. What did it ever do to deserve to be shot in the first place? I do believe in putting an animal out of its misery, but what he did was uncalled for.

My dad killed a snake once (and showed it to my friend and me as a prank.....I felt the same way.

Does the dad have a license permitting him to shoot squirrels right now? If not, what he's doing is actually illegal, whether on his property or not.
