Well , I'm New In This Guild , I Was Wondering If I Could Get A Personal Roleplay Teacher ? Even If I Have To Pay In Gold .
PostPosted: Wed Jul 27, 2005 8:32 pm

Wow, I have GOT to check this guild more often @_@ Sorry, Penden!

Anyway, if you're willing, I can give lessons over PMs, though I have to wan you, I'm a sharp and severe critic and if you can't take being told something you do needs improvement, do NOT contact me about this. I will say however, that I try to encourage people as much as I try to get them to fix their mistakes and grow. I don't want to push you so hard that you never want to RP again, so if you take me up on this offer, give me a warning if I'm pushing too hard.

I'll do it for free, too. Gold's not a huge thing to me.

Ooo that sounds like a good offer. I usually teach people the lazy way, by RPGing with them and then sort of complaining about whatever I don't like. xd

I will teach you what I know for free. Look at the topic "RP Apprentice" for details, then post there if interested.

I actually think there's a sticky created by an admin somewhere in the Forums section of Gaia that tells you what NOT to do in RP?

A teacher will appear when a student is ready.

I say just RP and read from people. Read a lot of books, eventually you'll write like the people you read. smile

I'd say something constructive, but i'm sick and delirious. Whoo. Therefore, fish, because chickens don't fly.

(Don't write off topic, it's bad manners. That's lesson #1.)

What if you read stories that invole sarcastic and dark humer with a healthy dose of the word ********, s**t, and bollocks (but who can't punctuate and spell certain words)?

Read published stories, they should have proper grammar and teach you where to put the comma/period. Fanfictions are NOT a suggested reading material, in case you were wondering. *L* That's usually people who are still learning to write.

Editors never were perfect. Some of the errors are just printing errors.
