Rage was tired, her amber eyes closed shut, her stomach aching, churning almost, but nothing like she had ever felt before. Her stomach was bulging, so many things crossing through her mind, as fragile and unstable it was, she could make sense of somethings, somethings, and some things she didn't want to realize and know.
She and Daemon...they had...
Whatever had been done, her stomach was larger then normal, a family? Was it happening, was it possible? What would her mother say, would she look down upon her with delight, or with shame? She loved Cael, loved Backus, but both would be happy now. Now, and now she was with Daemon, something about him...it just...calmed her...it was keeping ehr sane.
But how to tell him?
How?

Daemon's seemingly blind eyes traveled over the path he traveled, back to the den, back...home. He had a home now, it was so strange, he was with Rage now, even stranger. With her he felt like he was worth somehting, like it was worth it to keep going on, worth it to stay by her side...but what had happened recently? What?
Rage was consistently going to see Nix, and more recently her stomach seemed...to be larger then normal, he would never say anything of course. Never. But something was happening, he was sure of it, but how to ask? They had...been together, to say the least, he felt whole, but somehting was happening, he knew it, and he didn't want her to be alone.
He didn't want Rage to feel alone anymore.
He wanted to be by her side.
"Rage?"

Ears flicking forward, eyes opening, Rage didn't raise her head, but her tail started swaying back and forth, the crinkling of leaves breaking the silence here. Silence everywhere, even her mind was at a calm current now. "I am here," she said softly. He was coming back, coming home, and she had to tell him. She knew, she just had tom she had too.
Pushing herself to sit um, she tilted her head from where his voice had come, was he walking faster today? Lately he had gone to the beaches, she had seen him, watching Nix, Cellen, both with their puppies, though she'd never tell him she saw. A smile on her maw, she knew he was watching for a reason, perhaps he already knew.
She still had to tell him either way, either way he had to know from her.
"Daemon..I need....to tell you somehting..."

"Yes?" Daemon asked, stepping out from the underbrush. The sun was cascading down through the canopy or branches and trees above, he was smiling too once he saw her smile. He loved it when she smiled, she looked so..unreal, like a dream. He felt like with that smile, everything would be alright, everything would be okay.
"Are you alright? You've stayed near the den a lot the past few days," he said matter of factly, stepping further closer now, sitting besides her, curling himself about her, He gave a gentle lick to her cheek, and made a low playful growl in his throat.
The way he felt for her, it was unreal.
"Do you want me to go get Amelie?"

"Yes, yes I'm fine just..." she stopped, closed her eyes and leaned against him, she felt safe when they were like this, like he was shielding her from the world and its pains and agonies, from the torment it could give her. In a manner, he was her savior, and she would forever be indebted to him, forever.
"Just..." she swayed her tail looked away, a playful smile on her face, she had a secret he didn't know, or at least she was playing it out to be that way. "Oh no, no, Amelie doesn't need to come, not yet, I'd...like for you to go see her and ask her to come soon though...I'm worried," Rage could feel him switch how he was sitting behind her.
He seemed worried.
"I'm fine just..." she turned, her eyes meeting his...ice blue eyes, and she smiled, "We're going to have a family...and I'd like her to come soon...her and Phib," she said with a nod.
Would he worry now?

"Just...what? You sure you're alright? I'll go find someone I swear, are you hot, faint, what? Please tell me," he said low, eyes pleading with hers He didn't want her to be ill and not tell him, what would he do...what would he do if something bad ever happened to her? He wouldn't know how to cope, what to do, not at all.
He watched her for a moment, he didn't want her to feel like he was hounding her, not at all just...he cared, cared so much for her, he really did.
Though his worry-ness faded, once he knew.
He had an inkling, but wasn't positive.
"We are...you are? Really...you-" he stopped mid sentence, and grace her maw with gentle kisses and nuzzles beneath her chin. "I'll go find them soon then, Nix too yes? I would figure...I'll take care of you Rage...I won't leave your side..."

Rage sighed, closed her eyes, leaned back against him, let him curl about her, and she smiled, she couldn't remember a happier time lately, with all that had happened, but this moment seemed to wash it away like the waves washing away the old sand, and bring about a new spot to tred upon and explore.
So many things would be coming, so many things.
And a family...puppies, they were going to have a family.
"I know you will, and I always want you here with me...so many thing Daemon had happened, I've loved so many, but believe me when I say, that...I love you, and I want you to stay..." she paused, heart beating contently, "stay with me..."

He smiled, swayed her tail then curled it with hers, "I'll stay, I promise, I will," he'd try to be the best father he could be, he would, he swore to himself he would do all in his abilities to be the best father...and mate, possible. Daemon smiled, felt proud, his brother had had a family, but not like this, no. Not with a wolfess who he loved...and who stayed with him. Not like this, no.
Daemon would finally have a family of his own.
"I love you too Rage...I'll start getting things ready," he saw Rage tilted her head, and he chuckled. Well, you seem close...no offense, and I want things ready and comfortable for you, I'll be around, I swear," he gave a lick on her cheek and then padded off into the underbrush, on a search for soft grasses and leaves to make a soft place for her...and the pups.
The pups.
He was going to be a father.
He couldn't be happier.

Rage smiled and beamed with happiness. When Daemon left she pushed herself up, looked around, she'd have to tell Nix soon, she wondered if Nix already knew and was gossiping to Cellen already. Nix, she had such a large family, they were going to have a large family, she, Cellen, Nix, Daemon, and alls the babies, big or small, they would be one big family.
Stepping into their den Rage lay on her side, rested her head upon her paws. She was tired, needed rest, though the puppies seemed to be quite energetic to be known.
"Calm now, later you can play alright?" Rage said softly with a giggle, a smile, eyes closing, ears flicking, listening to the wind in the trees, the breeze sweeping through their den.
How lovely the future would be.
A family of their own.
