Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking--round 1 of the MK 0wnage Tournament is on!
If any two contestants are ready to battle, then just let the current judge know, wait for the okay, and then go for it!
Now, the judges are any former or current member of Team 0wnage, any former or current member of Bizarro Team 0wnage, or any Captain. If there's more than one judge present during a battle, the two (or more) of them can discuss the battle in PM, and come to a decision from there.
A question that a lot of people were asking me as I was setting the tournament up was "how do you get 0wned in a pic battle?" It's simple.
-If you come up with a response that makes no sense at all, even with your description, you're 0wned.
-If you come up with a response, but no picture, you're 0wned.
-If you come up with a picture, but no response, you're 0wned.
-If you post the same picture twice, even on accident, you're 0wned.
-If you post a picture with a broken link or a "don't steal our bandwidth" image, HURRY UP AND FIX IT! If your opponent is able to get a responding picture/set of pictures before you fix the red X, you're 0wned.
-If neither you nor your opponent have been able to 0wn each other within ten posts, the judge(s) will make a decision based on which contestant had more creativity, originality, and style.
Now, the rules for debate:
The only people who can assign debate topics are myself, or the judge(s) present. The topic must be relevant, but not controversial, so nothing dealing with gay marriages, abortion, or religion. Debates on sociology, political science, physical science, morals and ethics (with the exception of homosexuality and abortion), and historical understanding are acceptable topics.
Debate is anything-goes. Your opponent screws up, you're more than welcome to capitalize on it and mock the hell out of them. Pictures are also welcome for new and seasoned forum-warriors alike.

Once a battle has finished, find the URL for the page the battle started on and PM it to me. I'll fix the first page to reflect the changes in the lineup.
ONLY ONE BATTLE CAN GO ON AT A TIME. This makes it easier on the contestants, since many of the names on the list are completely NEW to this.
NO POSTPONING OF BATTLES. If one of the contestants has to leave, the judge(s) present will make an impartial decision based on which contestant holds the advantage in the battle.

There are some amendments being made.
1. The No Postponement Rule is being extended. You have to schedule with your opponent, and inform me and/or Mooo. Either or both contestants can be disqualified for no show after fifteen minute of agreed start time.
---Time slots are first come first served.
---If you are both on at the same time, and ready to battle early, go for it.
2. Judges don't necessarily have to be present at the time of the battle. Make note of any violations you notice and keep going. Unless both sides agree to the violation, then feel free to have won. [Ask around in MK anyway]
3. Battles get there own threads. Anyone posts in it but the contestants [or judges for decision making] Removed from the tournament.
4. You get one defense, and one attack. [one picture to defend against previous attack, one for new attack.]
