Has, anyone else notice that the yuu watasa main character girls are usually end up one of the most hated anime characters? Exzample, "fusigi yu gi" and "cerces legend".

I think it's because most of them are weak,whiney,and annoying...
Except
Ceres
Takiko
Tanpopo...kinda

i don't really hate them neutral i mean......Mika's voice in the english-dub was pretty bad, but that was ok 3nodding

I don't hate her main female leads, but when they start getting a bit too lovestruck (to the point that it interferes with everything in the story), it makes me wanna give them a good, reality-calling slap.

Serena Delano Asano Rain I don't her main female leads, but when they start getting a bit too lovestruck (to the point that it interferes with everything in the story), it makes me wanna give them a good, reality-calling slap. exactly. That totally meant to say "I don't hate her [...] leads" haha xD I usually find that I like her main female leads much better when I read a particular series of Watase-sensei's the second time around. The first time I read Fushigi Yuugi, Miaka got on my nerves... quite a lot. I usually warm up to them by the end of the manga (seriously, it's all the CHOKEMENOW RABURABU!! that puts me off about them) but that second time around is all the sweeter. I appreciate them much more at the beginning of the journey after the end of it, if that makes any sense. Yusura and Takiko are probably her two female lead characters that I truly adored right off the bat. Tanpopo... well, it took me a while to appreciate her because OVERLY GENKI characters are hit and miss with me, but... yeah, I love her now.

The only main character girl I dislike is Miaka. Mainly because she is useless and not smart at all!
And it's true that Aya annoyed me at times, but generally I liked her.
Aside from those two, I adore all of Watase's main characters. Tanpopo is my second favorite anime girl ever. And I like the girl in Genbu Kaiden (can't remember her name...) Because she can actually take care of herself under normal circumstances.

I don't dislike them at all!
My favorite is Alice.
I do love Miaka, Takiko, Aya, and Riiko, in that order, too! Great female characters...
Never read Imadoki...
But, they are supposed to be lovestruck...That's mainly one of the points of shojo manga, in my opinion. Romance stories. Well, maybe it's because a story seeping with romance is my kinda thing.
But, the point being usually I hate main female characters in manga. But never in Yuu Watase's.
