Go had been just short of a miracle cure, or at least that was what Obie was convinced of. How could she be afraid of the world when she was in the constant company of such absolute love and adoration that was dependant on her? By now her ribs had healed completely and she was able to move around without pain, though her injured hand was still giving her trouble. But she couldn't care less as she was playing with Go out on the campus lawns not far from the atheltic complex.
"Come on Go! Go get it!" she grinned as she threw a stick for him to go chase. When he caught up with it, he decided it would be much more fun to make his raven haired owner chase after him. Taking off as fast as his little pupple legs could carry him, Obie began to give chase with a bit of a laugh.

Jess was walking back from class. She did not hang around after the students had left. Although the rumours had died she still did not like the patronising glances afforded to her by the hideous women of the different deprtments.
Crossing the green she blinked as she saw Obie and grinned, making her way over to her.
"Hey BB." She smiled, laughing to herself a little as Go charged up to her and promptly started trying to munch away on her trainers.
"What are you feeding him. I'm sure he's bigger than last week already."

Obie pulled up short as Jess crossed her path, her enthusiasm slightly diminished, though she was relieved to see Jess smiling and laughing. Walking up, she laughed at Jess' question and knelt down to give Go a good rub down.
"Just a little bit of this and that. He has an affinity for pizza it seems," she smirked and looked up at Jess. "You're not still upset with me about what I said at my party, right?" she asked with light worry in her eyes. Her mistake had been plaguing her since that night and she truly had felt absolutely awful for hurting Jess like she had.

Jess's smile faded a little and she shook her head.
"No, I'm sorry for ruining your birthday. I should have been honest with him from the start." She shrugged and bent down to pet Go. "I just miss his little smile so much." She said looking back up to B. "Though, maybe I shouldn't have given him up so easy. Kayne probably thinks I'm awful. hell, you probably think I'm awful having been in Yuki's position."

Obie smiled broadly and reached out her hand to place it gently on Jess' cheek, keeping one hand on Go's collar to make sure he didn't take off again.
"I don't think that at all," she said seriously, looking into her eyes. "My situation was totally different. And my birthday was far from ruined. I just... I miss him too," she admitted softly. "Ro was seriously messed up for what he did to both you and Yuki."

Jess sighed and nodded. Suddenly she was feeling very stupid for backing down. She didn't even try to win him back. What if kayne was right, what if he did turn up one day and demand to know why she did nothing.
"Doyou think I should try harder?" She asked. "To get him back? I feel like I should at least try now I have so much support. Maybe naomi can help me."

Obie smiled warmly and nearly fell back as Go lunged at her face in an effort to give her a kiss.
"Jess, when I saw him in your arms, I had never seen you so happy. I had never seen such contentment or adoration in your face for anything. Now when I look at you, I can see how much being apart from him is wearing on you. I understand why it was hard for you to fight, but... I don't think you will ever be truly happy unless if you fight as hard as you possibly can for him. Even Maddie said that she had never felt complete until I showed up on her doorstep and she had had no connection to me other than those nine months. You're a good mother Jess and you deserve the chance to be one to your son," she said softly, hugging Go to her chest.

Jess nodded and smirked.
"Yep, see, this is why I love you B. you know me so well." She grinned and petted Go, getting a toungue lashing in return.
"How are you doing though?" She asked, watching her carefully for a moment. "You look a lot better. More confident and less scared." she said with a smile.

Obie grinned at Jess' compliment and laughed as Go went after her next. Smirking at her question, she reached up and tucked some of her hair behind her ear.
"I'm feeling much better. I must be," she smirked. "Yesterday I heard some people whispering about Ra and I told them off. It shut them up pretty quickly," she laughed a little. "I still get a little nervous when I'm surrounded by people, but I'm not feeling quite as content to just sit in my room all day. Especially now. Right Go-chan?" she smiled, her voice slipping into baby talk mode as she held his face between her hands.

Jess grinned and nodded.
"I'm so proud." She said sitting crosslegged on the grass and placing her bow on the floor. "I told a few of the female teachers to get lost the other day too. Stupid bitches." she gave a snort of laughter and rolled her eyes. "Maybe things are going to start looking up for us. Especially if I can get Yuki. i think he would love it here. I know he will love Go to pieces."

Obie laughed as she said she had told some of the women off and sat down as well, Go climbing into her lap to flop across it.
"I really think you should try Jess. You know Naomi will help you and I will be with you every step of the way. And from the sounds of it, Kayne will be too, won't he?" she said with a slight smirk. "I mean, he gets on my nerves a little, but his devotion to you is more than obvious."

Jess laughed and nodded her head.
"Yeah, i had noticed you two were hardly going to be entering any friendship competitions. He's a really nice guy B. He treats me like, well, no one else ever has. He's really willing to support me through everything too. And I am sure he is genuine unlike some people I've believed before."
She smiled and nodded.
"Why don't you like him? Just out of interest."

Obie smirked and looked down at Go as she ran her hand over his soft puppy fur.
"I don't know. He's just... loud and obnoxious. And... while I'm glad that Ra didn't get hurt when those boys picked a fight with him, I think he got a little out of hand. I guess... he sort of makes me nervous a little bit," she said with a small shrug.

Jess smiled and nodded a little.
"We all have our dark streaks." She said softly. "And, I know he seems that way but he is so sweet. He's just a little protective."
She smirked and looked off over the field.
"He respects me and he wants to be with me. he even wants Yuki in our lives. And, B, he really has changed a lot. What those guys said was horrible and I probably would have done, or at least threatened much the same."

"Well, yeah. I agree that they went incredibly too far," she said softly and left it at that. She didn't want to get into another discussion like the one she had had with Ra. That part of her brain was still too mixed up for her sort those things out properly just yet.
"Don't get me wrong, Jess. I'm very happy for you. He just irritates me a little. I'll get over it. Especially since he and Ra seemed to have rekindled their friendship in full and the two of you are going to be together as well," she smirked. "Seems I won't be able to escape the ginger terror."
