I was wondering exactly how Stephenie Meyer's vampires feed on humans. Do they just suck out their blood and then be done with them? I always thought that they ate everything; blood, mucle, bone and all. That would also make it easier to dispose of the body, if there was none at all. So I'd like to know what you guys think, and I hope I'm not the only one who thinks vampires eat entire bodies sweatdrop

Just blood. In Eclipse's first chapter, it says that there are "messily disposed of bodies", and a huge part of New Moon was all the bodies in the forest being a problem. So, yeah. Just blood.

Thanks! I haven't finished reading Eclipse's first chapter (I don't even own it sweatdrop ) so I didn't know that, and I forgot about the bodies in New Moon. Thanks again for clearing that up with me! smile

Well i think its just blood because when thye suck the blood of a human they intoxicate some type of venom which transforms the human into a vampire...........
at least that is what i thougth it to be...

So yes, its only blood, thats all they need.

Another question that arises is...how do they drain the body? Yea, they drink blood, but do they just lap at the huge, gaping hole in the neck, or do they whip out straws? xd

Don't worry. You are not the only one that thinks that. I have been thinking about that long and hard. I too think that they eat the whole body. Because in New Moon, when Victoria is on the loose, the news and stuff just say that the bodies have been disappearing. It is either that the vampires suck all the blood out and hide the bodies somewhere, or they just eat them whole...
