Yeah, that's right, let's talk about what we believe in. I think we are all close enough that we can openly discuss this.
As most of you know i am proudly a Christian. -GASP- AND I listen to Metal, HONOEZ a walking contradiction!!!!! rolleyes
But yeah, I am a Christian- Life, Death, Ressurection. I also believe is having solid intelectual reasons and arguments for my faith. Even in the Bible, it says God wants us to ask questions, have reasons for our beliefs, He even dares us to stump Him.
I also respect others beliefs and i will not shove my personal belief system down anyone's throat. What i do NOT respect is when people trash someone else's belief system. Let's all be respectful, I do NOT want to see anyone saying "Well what you believe is 100 percent wrong, and you're stupid." Try saying, "I don't agree with what you believe instead."

Although my family is catholic (really just my mom though), I myself am not religious. I just never felt a real connection to it.
I too hate when people try to force their beliefs on others, but even more I hate those who twist words around to fit what they want (especially when they turn it into violence). I feel all religions should make a rule that says to leave non-believers/other religions alone, I seriously believe that that would reduce a lot of problems within inter-religious relations.
I do find religion interesting though. Like when The History Channel has those specials on religion (Revelation, Bible code, etc).
As for lyrics in music, I don't like evil lyrics but, Mercyful Fate are one of my fav. bands. It just never really stopped me from enjoying anything as of yet. As for Black metal, all the overly satanic stuff did stop me from looking into it for a while (still haven't really looked into it yet).

I really don't have a belief system, I never felt the need for one. I am happy just doing my own thing. I, like the other 2, do not care for people shoving their beliefs down people throat, or people trashing other people's beliefs.

I kid.
Anyway, I agree with you guys on the whole thing about the uncoolness of people manipulating and being well uncool. Ya shouldn't judge people because of what they believe and you shouldn't preach what others should and shouldn't believe. I myself am not very religious, by my standards anyway. I'm more so Heathen than anything else, but I dabble in different ones to learn.
My brother is Christian, and I don't have a problem with that. His the kind of Christian that I like, as in he's open minded and not all shoving it down my throat...even thought he got me to watch Ben-Hur and The Ten Commandments, and I guess he's forgotten about The Passion of Christ. But he's cool, he listens to the metal.

Dragon Bleed I really don't have a belief system, I never felt the need for one. I am happy just doing my own thing. I, like the other 2, do not care for people shoving their beliefs down people throat, or people trashing other people's beliefs. Sounds ike a belief sustem to me.

I Believe in Christ, and I believe He is Lord, even of the non-believers. I believe there's nothing wrong in liking metal and beinga christian at all. In fact being a christian means to be brave, a warrior. So is metal.
