I think that now it's pretty obvious that the VonHelsons are vampires and that Edmund used to be (or is) a vampire hunter. Here's my list of stuff
1: Garlic is required for Edmund's part of the event. Garlic is supposed to void off vampires.
2: The Von Helsons meet you in a dark alley. Kinda suspicious. Also, if you talk to them enough, you'll find that they're thinking you're delicious.
3: If you speak to Edmund enough, he says "The Masque isn't the only super hero in Gaia." Hmm...
I'll add more eventually.
Also, if you click on the two brooches, you'll get something that says "This item doesn't exist" Seems suspicious, too. (it's not like the errors for the new Donation items)

Also, in the last page of the storyline update, the attacker has very long canines. Very suspicious...
