Okay, I KNOW there is already a thread about Sakura bashing, but this is different and more specific.
Okay, you know how everybody hates Sakura because she's so weak and fangirly and all? Well guess what..now there's a new thing...
Masashi Kishimoto FINALLY makes Sakura likable by giving her SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH and a love for Sasuke that DOESN'T include fangirling or anything. And NOW what do they say? They NOW say that Sakura is a Mary-Sue and should go die anyway!
I mean, FINALLY Sakura is cool, mature, and badass, but the people still aren't satisfied! Some random chick on a forum that I forgot the name of "i dont like Sakura. i mean, first shes SO annoying and ugly, and now she's SOOOO perfect! i mean, serisly, just get rid of her, we don't need her" PEOPLE. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM HER? Masashi Kishimoto is trying his best, seriously!

I have to agree with you there. And if someone was weak like her, like Ino, they won't like her. I think Sakura's cool and all. People are just stupid.
I want to kill all Sakura haters. They need to just stfu. Seriously.

I've seen a lot of people bashing and really shes a fictional character people! it's ok if you say you don't like her we know but stuff start to get out of hand sometimes like i said shes a fictional character who really cares that much about it!unless your a naruto addict

these sakura-bashers are just never satisfied. they've already decided that they dont like her, and nothing kishimoto does is going to make them like her. its ridiculous, these reasons that they come up with.
they all really make me mad because they're reasons for hating her are so lame. they have to invent new reasons to hate her.
and i agree with you, ChaoticDance .. they just all need to stfu. -sigh-
they're just jealous because she's so badass. wink

Sakura bashing breaks my heart D:
I read somewhere Kishi said Sakura was meant to be not...so likeable in the beginning but as you continue watching you'd start to see her growth/like her.
But some people are so...so mean D:< As someone said, they'll find some sort of reason to hate her.
Hinata-fans/Sakura-bashers especially break my heart D: Since I love both characters.

How the hell is Sakura a Mary-Sue? Is good character development now the cause of Sue-ism? >.<
Honestly though, why do they have to be so... immature? I mean, fine, you don't have to like her, but that doesn't mean you should cuss her out and bash her. Especially since their reasons for bashing her make no sense. I mean, I'm not a huge fan of Naruto, but I don't bash him or anything.
People like that seriously need to grow up.
Edit: I actually took a Mary-Sue litmus test for Sakura, and she scored 15, meaning she is a non-Sue and a balanced, well-developed character. I know those tests are designed for original characters, but still.

Haha, now she's not important? Hahahahahahahahaha -ah... that's funny.
TEAM 7 is VITAL to Naruto's plot line.
Which includes Naruto, Sasuke, AND Sakura.
She may not get the best roles, but I know Kishimtoto's got a special place for her that only SHE can fit.
Sakura's still far from perfect. If she was perfect, all the guys would love her. The only person who could pass for that right now is Naruto. ( But we all know Sasuke loves her too. wink )
If she was perfect, she would've gotten Sasuke to come back.
If she was perfect, she could've stopped Naruto from going on a rampage.
And well... lots of other stuff like that.
Unlike alot of characters I've seen, Sakura actually changes, grows, and matures. Through it all, she was never once perfect or loved by everyone.
She's made mistakes, and throught experience and friends, she's learned from them. How is that Mary-Sue?
Though, for the record, I did hate ( hate ) Sakura when she was younger. She was a perfect model of the type of anime girls I hate. Naruto tried to be nice to her, but she just hurt him instead, and I hate characters like that. The ones that hurt people for no reason, yet turn around and are an 'angel' to everyone else. That, or no one disagrees with her reasons for abusing that one person.
*is anti-KagomexInuyasha because of this reason*
I guess that's why, before I got more into Sasuke's character, I like NaruSaku so much. Because Sakura finally matured and treated him like a person, and it was cute.
Hm.. I'm getting off topic, aren't I?

Sakura's improval is a landmark. She improved to bring back Sasuke, for no-one else. It shows her ultimate dedication. They're just hard to please.
And Rachaella22. I took that test for Sasuke, and he got about 70 XD But Sasuke isn't a sue in my opinion, and it said on the first page that the test wasn't entirely accurate.

People should actually like her because at times she does TRY and help them, even if she can't do much, she still tries to help.

Guys, thanks for responding to this thread. To tell you the truth, I also didn't like her at the beginning, but like Cherriko said, Masashi Kishimoto MEANT Sakura to be a person like that, THEN make her likeable to show him he's priginal and can do that kind of thing.
Where is this Mary-Sue test? I made original characters and I want to take it! TT^TT

I didn't like Sakura at first either, but i've changed my opinion.Shes really not that bad. I don't understand why people would do things such as cuss about how bad she is. Some people are just to imature.
