The blue tinted mare, had just awoken from a nice sleep. She wasnt sure how she was supposed to start her night, but her morning had long since gone.
She preferred teh dark. The sky of red to teh night of black.
She liked the twinkle of stars of the shine of the sun.
She tossed back her braids, giving a snort, then it was followed by a nice long yawn.
::YAWN::
Oh how nice the night would be.
She stomped around the grass, her unicorn hooves not matching the hornless head she had.
Her belly grumbled, and she knew for sure she hadn't eaten in awhile.
She lowered her head, taking a nibble of the grass that the moon was shining on.
The morning dew was gone, and it was now crisp and lush.
She smiled.
What a night.

She didn't usually like to wander that far from home at night but, every now and then, she made an exception. This time the exception had come about because of a shooting star. She'd watched it fly across the sky and then she'd taken chase, wanting to know where it was going and, if it landed, she wanted to be the one to find it.
She emerged from the brush into a clearing, looking around carefully this way and that. Had the star come this way? Was it still around? She looked up to the sky, watching the other stars as if they would be the ones to guide her to their fallen sister... Or brother.
(( Sorry that took so long, Buffy. RL caught me and swept me up. *getting caught up on everything now* ))

(Its fine<3 Im glad you're back though)
Naina kept up a good pace with the eating, until she saw the figure that stood hillside.
She was a creme pale color on top, with a blue tint to the bottom of her body.. Almost the exact opposite of herself.
She had braids in her mane and tail, just as Naina did..
But she had a horn, and pixie like wings to match. She shook her head.
She reminded her of herself, but she had no idea who this mare was.
She was almost scared to approach, afraid that it was just a ghostly vision.. Because one that looked so much like her, couldnt possibly be real..
Unless...
No way..

She didn't see anyone else in the clearing. She was far too focused on the sky above, waiting for a sign... Waiting for something to move. Would it? Would she see the shooting star again or had she missed it. She held her breath for the moment, petite body still. Nothing moved until a gentle breeze tugged at her tail, causing her wings to shimmer. "... Hello, wind. I'm glad you're here, at least..."

Naina smiled, slowly approaching.
Maybe if she moved slowly, she wouldnt spook the vision away. For that was merely what the mare seemed to be. A vision..
She walked slowly, but her head was held high, and her heart was racing.
What would she say when she did get there if the figure didnt dissappear?
Hello whats your name? Nah, that seemed to informal.
But what could she say? There really wasnt anything to say to a creature that was delightfully entertaining at first, so she figured a hello would do.
"Hello there.." Her ghostly voice, with it's french accent was ethereal and somewhat strange, but she didnt let that stop her.

At the sound of the voice she nearly jumped out of her skin, skittering back a few steps before turning towards the sound of it. "Why... You're not a spook." She laughed softly, mostly to herself. Of course the source of the voice wouldn't be a spook... Draven had told her many times that the only little spook in the forest was her. "Hello."

"I.. You seem familiar.. And I hope I didnt startle you.."
She gave a kind smile, and every look Naina gave towards the mare, the more she saw.. her father..
"My name is Naina. Naina Julianna Belle Morte.. I daresay I know you.. You look.. like my-"
She wasnt sure what to say, she worried for her sanity now.
"Goodness no. Im no spook, least I dont think so."

She gave her small head a light toss, ringlets and braids falling softly against her neck as she took a moment to think. "... Now that you mention it, there is something familiar about you..." Something about the color of her coat and the curl of her hair.
"Oh!" She took a step back, fumbling with her words for a moment as she bowed her head politely. "Forgive me for not offering my name sooner. I am Memory and no, you're certainly not a spook. I can see that clearly now."

"Memory." The name instantly sparked a.. memory.. in dear Naina. Could it be?
She was of the same age, of the same look.. No way, she had no reason to assume these things..
"Is your mother the dear Nostalgia? With a brother of the name Trevelyn?"

She froze, eyeing the other mare cautiously for a moment as she took a step back. Perhaps this mare was a spook afterall... Or maybe she was just psychic. Or maybe...
Something tugged at the back of her mind; a memory that she'd long since forgotten for happier things... A little girl. A... Memory...
"Yes, Nostalgia is my mother... And Trevalyn is my brother. H-how did you know that? Are you... Were you..?" She paused, trying to figure out how to better phrase the question that lingered on the tip of her tongue. "... You've changed, haven't you?" She hoped. Oh, she truly hoped the mare before her was not the same child that she'd heard shouting when she was still a foal herself.

Had she changed? She wasnt sure, so she just stood at the question, and let it flit through her mind. Her foal hood was so much a blur, it really was a confusing time for her.. She had been told her mother didnt want her anymore.. That her mother had chosen her, to give up and abandon.. She really didnt care much anymore, though the feeling of rejection always hung over her heart...
"I believe I have changed.. But dont we all when we reach adulthood and realize lies and stories when we're now told them?"
She was hoping that this would start,..anything.. She wanted to befriend the mare that was her sister..
"My name is Naina. Daughter Of Jean-Claude and Nostalgia.. With a sister and a brother that do not know me.."
Her face fell, as she remembered the confusing time.. The hurt she had felt from the mare who had birthed her..

"..." Her brow furrowed slightly as she listened to the other mares words, trying to take them for what they were rather than fitting them with the child-like voice she had heard so long ago. "To be completely fair, you do not know Trevalyn or I any more than we know you... So it isn't all that nice to introduce yourself as such. Would 'Naina' not do just as well? I am nothing more than Memory; myself with no other titles or names attatched. I am... Me." She smiled softly. "Not anyone else."

Naina accepted teh smile, with one of her own. Giving a kind face to someone she knew was having a hard time accepting the fact that they were related.
"I apologize, it was worded wrongly. I meant no insult.."
She looked at her feet, then back at teh mare.
"How have you faired all these years?"

Her brow furrowed a bit further, a slight frown replacing her smile for a moment. "You didn't insult me. I just... Don't understand why you'd say something like that of yourself. I'm sure that you could've found us easily enough an tried to get to know us, afterall... We don't live all that far from here."
It just... Didn't make sense. If Naina was that concerned about not knowing them that she had to introduce herself in such a way couldn't she have made an effort before to change that? She knew that her mother had never stopped she and Trevalyn from venturing out on their own from time to time as long as they followed the rules and remembered not to stray too far; always within shouting distance of home.
She took a deep breath, releasing it slowly before smiling once more. "It's only been months, silly, not years. We grew quickly durring the time that passed so it may feel like years... But it hasn't been. I've been... Good." She nodded after a moment. "Very good. Trevalyn and Draven take care of Mama and I... And I've made some friends. You?"

Naina didnt bother to say that she happened to live a bit far from here. She lived in the mountains, and her father had always been very careful to never let her near her family.. He had told her no.. And shed been told she'd been rejected. She didnt feel like saying that to this mare.
"Oh thats good. I have faired well too. I have made a couple friends, though Im not usually in one place for too long. I like to travel. And dont get to see many of the friends. But I do have someone I am seeing right now."
She said, of the stallion Amaroq that she seemed to have fallen for.
"Draven? I dont remember a Draven. Is he your.." She hesitated. Not wanting to say father, as she knew her own was Memorys father.. But she knew, deep down, that Memory didnt know Jean as her father.
"Father?"
