I would like to know your opinions and ideas about what happened to the Phantom after Christine has left him?
I mean, we've seen him left the Opera House for good (that's what I guessed). But later, we've also seen that there was a red rose with a black ribbon and the wedding ring on Christine's grave.
Oh! By mentionning Christine's death, why not try to guess what happened to the Phantom after that?

In both Leroux's and Kay's books, he dies after Christine leaves with Raoul, although she comes back in Kay's before he passes.
In the musical, I'd like to think that he passed on, just to hold on to some resemblance to the book. The whole point of leaving it open like that is to make us wonder; I have to admit, it was fun to watch, a nice touch.
The movie I have no guesses for. By the time Raoul and Christine were that old, Erik would have been dead. Should have been dead, I should say, especially because of the conditions he lived in. Little sunlight and fresh air and being a skeleton of a man probably did not make him the healthiest person. Unless we're talking about Gerik, but I think that he was trampled by fangirls the moment he attempted to come out of his little hiding place. Of course, there is no way in hell that Erik would've had mirrors, but then again, this is Fabio!Erik.

I agree with Phantomette. Especially with the last bit. lol
In the ALW movie, I'd like to think that he moved on but still loved Christine. *shrugs*

I think (in the movie) he still followed Christine everywhere.... somewhat creepy, but then again, it is the Phantom of the Opera! And as for him dying, Yeah Right! Erik can't die!! haha...
