Don't pick on games like that, dumbass.
In the world of video games, many of the tough main characters are male because that is the common image. The defenseless victim is female because it is the COMMON IMAGE!
The games do not say "All guys are tough like this, and all girls are weak and defenseless." Nor does it say "We don't include other races because we think they suck."
In a world where primarily males play video games, (don't try to fight it, it's true) They'd like to be a tough, handsome MALE character in the game because that's what they aspire to be, and they rescue FEMALES because that's who they want to rescue.
Game makers cater to the majority of the market, GUYS so please don't get sexism confused with coincidence, nor racism confused with lack of diversity.
EDIT:: You should fix your grammar and spelling to present a rant, to make an attempt to be civilized.

Yeah, I didn't tie my post in too much with Mario as much as I did with games like Final Fantasy 7, Prince of Persia or Devil May Cry, but hopefully you get my point.

That goes back to the days of chivalery. Young maiden, always a princess or around that rank, gets captured by evil wizard/bad knight/dragon/kidnappers, etc. Knight in shinning armor goes to her rescue.

And technically, Nintendo has bad assified girls. Zelda didn't stay as a helpless maiden... Metroid's Samus isn't one either. Mario and Luigi isn't exactly something I would play if I was looking for any depth in storyline and character relations anyway... it's free for all adventure fun. I could care less about Peach... XD It's also hard to just suddenly change the flow of things since their roles are already set. Kind of like fairy tales. XD

They once did a game where Mario was captured and Peach had to save the day. So there goes your little "Peach is ALWAYS Captured" comment. Also, there are a lot of stories (gaming or not) that have a girl kidnapped. It's a common storyline.

I would like to say that Peach is not always shown as defenseless. In Super Mario RPG she is one of the characters that can fight in your team. Furthermore, she appeared as the main protagonist in Super Princess Peach. In Yoshis' island, it was Yoshis of ambiguous genders that the player played as, with baby Mario and Luigi filling Peach's usual role. Mario also came from the same company that made Samus. The Mario series does not have ethnicities like in the real world. There are still regional diffrences between races in many of the games, however. Most prominately featuring in the Paper Mario series.
Edit: I mentioned that already.
