There was no time for rest. Leinth walked swiftly through the candy apple forest, not stopping to admire the scenery, nor to snack. There were other things on her mind lately. The catacombs in the graveyard, for instance. But she wasn't there yet. While it couldn't be denied that they were her destination, there was a reason she walked instead of flying.
Feeling the ground beneath her paws felt solid, reassuring. That was something Leinth needed, though she would never admit that she felt conflicted. After all, she had lived before. She found most days tiring, most people silly and boring. But in spite of that, there had to be something there for her.
Wrapped up in her thoughts, the mummified Numa barely noticed that she had slowed to a stop.

Sayuri had gone to see her brother and her step sister in the graveyard. Twas night and her pelt shined bright. Skipping through branches of the tall trees where she felt more comfortable. More to the point where she could jump through and feel the danger in every moment. Which she felt was more her.
When she took ahold of a large branch that was a little lower than teh rest she was obliged to look down. Her eyes were greeted by a lovely framed being. Her brow raised with the feel that meant she was intrugued. Odd... she looked more dead but the smell.. wasn't as much. Her bandages that hung from her body made Sayuri's bright jade eyes squint. Questioning this numa and wandered why she stopped. did she lose something? Her ears switched side to side and she slide more down. Coiling aroudn a tree trunk. Watching what she will do or what she lost.. but she herself almost lost breath with such unique beauty. Twas true. Sayuri was one to be attracted to odd things and to walk away from a female was something she could NEVER do. If she needed her she would be happy to apply herself. For now she would watch her though~ Examing..
Her cat like eyes switched. Her pelt gave a glaze over look of the night sky. The center directly over looking the female. Her necklace dangling over head as her upper body leaned forward.

Leinth may have been wrapped up in her own thoughts, but that didn't mean that she was dead to the world. When something rustled in the trees above her, she cocked her head. Some noises were natural, and flowed with the natural state of things. She tended not to notice those, which meant that this was some sort of disturbance.
"Well, so I'm being watched," she mused quietly. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing, though it did depend on who was doing the watching. It was time to find out. "Come out, then."
While Leinth didn't mind being watched especially, she had no patience for games. Not of the silly, made-up-in-a-person's-mind type, at least.

For about a minute she couldn't decide... but she was just another one of those numas who could somehow find herself doing what others say. If she wanted her to come out. She would. If it was a female though.
Now without her hesitation from before she jumped down and landed just as gracefully. Her fur sparkled with the light stars. Her hair gently flowed over half of her face. The sharp of her eyes looking straight at the female. Raising a brow and stood there... what did she want... Twas easier just to stay watching her. Her ears stuck up sraight to show no fear in her either. She whipped her tail to the side as she walked up a little closer. Behind her though. Her fangs hung over her maw and her talons still invisible from being tucked back in to her paw. A smirk across her maw.

At least this one wasn't wasting her time. As the other Numa leaped down from the tree, Leinth had to nod approvingly. Straightforward, no nonsense, that was the way she preferred things.
Once the Numa had landed, Leinth slowly turned her head to look at the stranger, sizing her up. Satisfied, she then faced forward again, and continued walking. She was confident the other would follow- and even if she didn't, it wouldn't especially hurt her.
"Why were you watching me?" she asked, setting her pace at a brisk walk. Leinth was used to being looked at for all sorts of reasons, and was curious why she had caught this girl's eye.

"Your beautiful." She said bluntly and gracefully walked behind the other. She didn't want to seem pushy but she trotted some a little to get to at least the side of the other. Trying to catch just a glimpse of the face, which the body intrigued her quite a bit.
she held her head up. "You seemed intiguing enough to me. So thats why." She gave a light shrug and not as easily kept her stride with the other's. The grey in her wings was then lightened with her fur starting to give that sparkle.

A bit surprised at the answer to her question, Leinth smiled. It was not a happy expression, but more cool and distant. Appreciative, but showing no real joy. Thinking that reply over, she increased her speed a bit, not quite ready to walk face to face with someone she couldn't just brush off.
Most people were either noisy or rude. This one was neither. She was honest and blunt, and, Leinth had to admit, beautiful herself in her own way. Much in the way that the night sky was attractive- they were both dark and quiet, hiding things, and yet more upfront than the daytime.
"Your name?" she asked, trying to stay just a step or two ahead of the other.

She noticed that the other increased her spedd. This.. surprisingly did not phsase her at all. She simply kept now her distance. A stranger meeting another? It was only more than polite to stay behind. She tossed her hair to one side. Then the next, keeping her head high and the grace in her step.
When the other asked the question. She almost stopped immediatey... she didn't tell anyone her true name. She got now quiet and went back to her pase behind her. For now... she would at least give the translation of her name... Almost empty she felt no need to say her name now. "Moon... Fullmoon." Nodding some and not really asking for the other's name. Not knowing it was rude or not.. She didn't mind names since she hated saying hers as well. Ah? She was in the path to the graveyard! Where her brother lived.. Great. They were going to the same place... but she hadn't ever seen this numa before.. she wondered where she came from. Had lots of questions but all disappeared while walking next to her. Her necklace dangling as her cat eyes shifted from one side to the other... then stuck on to the female. Letting her eye in a soft way. Truely intrigued.

Leinth was pleased when the other respected her and kept her distance. It gave her time to collect herself, but it also showed that she was dealing with somebody reasonable. That made things far more pleasant.
She padded along softly, keeping up her swift pace, when the stranger answered her question. "Full Moon? Unusual," she commented, thinking it over. "The beauty of a full moon is a namesake many would envy."
It fit, Leinth supposed, shrugging her shoulders. She did not offer her own name, not yet. In time, perhaps. But it was neither the place nor time for such pleasantries, and for a moment she was ashamed for even asking herself. To cover her mild embarrassment, she placed a paw over her face, feeling the thin, dusty bandages that covered her fur. She was still herself, even if she had erred, so there was nothing to worry about. Not yet, anyway.
The graveyard loomed in the distance, and Leinth found herself relaxing as she approached. Finally, she could spend some time with her comrades.

"Your words are too generous. Such beauty can be applied to you more a fitting." Her head high she minorly saw the graveyard... where she was to again seek her brother but her mind wondered though. Being around this numa she had forgotten all about her meeting her brother and focused her cruise along with this numa. She didn't ask her name though.
Questionably she didn't have the need for names. Being around a numa you could tell a lot..Just by walking here in pure silence. She felt herself calm.. and was ok to the other's 'gravitaional pull' as she saw it. If she hadn't realized herself. A blush was over her pitch black cheeks. From the earlier comment...
"You could call me whatever you want though. Names don't really matter do they." She shrugged softly still flustered about it and the thought of the other minorly liking the name. She gave a light smile and looked down minorly.

Technically, Leinth thought, she hadn't complimented the stranger, but rather the moon. Still, she refrained from saying this. Had her comments really been limited to the sky alone? Perhaps not. She did not say this either. Nor did she reply to the compliments that were rained upon her, though she did take notice. Nothing she could think of saying sounded right. As usual, silence was the best option.
That was, until the other mentioned names. "Indeed," Leinth murmured. "What is a name, except a label for others to use? Something people package you into, so they may use you? While they have their uses in life, it matters little. All names are eventually forgotten."

"Is what I think as well. We all have a knack of forgetting things.. names being just labels to contain one in. Though. If I am honored to have yours. I can garentee it won't be forgotten." She reassured even if she thought the other might not believe her.
Her and her brother had that same fear. To be forgotten.. but she wasn't as old as her brother. He living centuries and her just barely getting to know this world of theirs... but the same fear they had couldn't be erased by time. Her ears gave a twitches as she heard the creeking of the gates opening with the wind. Her tail gave a quick reflex to its side making a whipping sound. It was natural.. since she was very little it did that.. Her glowing eyes opened half lidded to her. lifting her head up. Should she keep following? She wasn't sure.. but as long as the other didn't protest. She would follow most contently.

Leinth sighed, mildly disappointed. She just didn't get it, did she? Or she understood part, but not the rest. Still, Leinth was in a forgiving mood, and would explain the stranger's mistake to her. As for names... she would wait and see.
"You think you can make such a guarantee?" she asked calmly, her voice no more or less grave then before. Then, all of a sudden, it took on a deeper quality. "Everything fades. Names, memories... you yourself will fade one day, and what will become of your promise then?" She didn't mean the question to be a reprimand, but she did want the female to think about it, and answer honestly.
It hurt to be forgotten. Leinth had been through that once already, and had no desire to repeat the process. But there was more to her distant attitude than just that.

She closed her eyes all knowing the feel and her location form the ground under her. "My promise will be carried with me to my death... and them beyond. That is how I can guarentee..such things. As I and my brother.. do not forget. Like I will not forget such a creature as yourself." Not being it disrespectful... but she would remember the smell of this numa. Like she did ever smell..
"When I fade I will take your image along with me." She was dense but her compilments were many but she did mean what she said.. She devoted herself to memories..as she was casted away. Why had this one talked as though to push her away. She wouldn't give in.. but at that same moment. She thought to herself.. if this female didn't want her to be around. She would leave in to the shadows and protect her from afar then. She protected people.. is what she did. But from the safety of shadows til she was useful to them. her tail whipped to the side.

At first, Leinth just shook her head and kept walking. It seemed that she still didn't understand. How could something outlast death? It was the ultimate barrier, the final frontier, and almost nothing escaped it. There were of course exceptions- herself among them- but they were few and far between, and hardly something to count on. And yet this one, a mere girl, seemed so confident in her ability... for a moment, Leinth believed that she might be able to do what she was saying.
That moment quickly faded, and though she was left with a lingering feeling alien to her, she shook her head. "You will fade," she said. "And I will fade again. And then what will be left? The world will know no trace of what has once been. Mortals are such transient creatures... they hope to leave their mark on the world, but so few succeed."
Mortals were a "they" to Leinth. She had left that shell behind long ago, it seemed... for after all, could something that had already died really be considered mortal?
