Would people like a simple dice system with this role play?
Yes, it is something different and I wish to learn this system of Role Playing.
No! It will complicate things too much, making it difficult to play and enjoy.

There is a new game that recently came out, top of the line virtual reality simulator. The game has been praised for it's life like graphics and splendid displays of magic and physical combat.

The game is a great hit, and everyone is buying the game, not releasing the hidden dangers.....

~Introduction~

This role play is based in a time slightly in the future. Everyone has two settings, the games, a place of fantasy and magic, and real life, a boring and rather uneventful place.

Not all characters are going to know each other in real life, but they should meet up in the game at some point. You can play some real life, but the main focus and all the action is on the game.

There are two zones ion the game itself. There is the Town zone and the field.

The Town Zone is the place that you can change your weapons/equipment and buy new weapons/equipment. This can not be done on the field, though on the field you sometimes can earn new items. Field earned items are usually one time use items. They usually are what you sell in the game to earn gold.

The field is the place that creatures and opponents lie. Players can fight other players, though usually players band together to fend off strong creatures.

(More to come, please don't post. I am revamping this role play and improving on it, fixing a lot of the mistakes of the old one.)

Dice System: D 10 (The ten sided dice)

How this works is when you do a combat action, you will take that post and do a post action. This option is right below the size changing button. Depending on your action and the system in place, you will usually be rolling one dice to see if you hit your foe unless I determine that you would get hit by/hit your foe as a surprise. This is something different and would be determined by me.
This would be like a surprise attack or a trap (possibly). This will be determined by me, so just roll a dice anyway.

If you hit your target, then you will usually roll another dice in a different post. Depending upon what hit, it may be a different dice than a 10 sided one. This is how much damage you have caused your target. Example posts will follow after explanation (this post).

For the D10 System:
You roll a dice to see if you hit. These numbers will tell you if you hit, miss or actually get a critical hit (cause extra damage).

1- Critical miss. You cause some minor damage to yourself, usually by tripping your actually hitting yourself in some manner. You take 1d4 damage. (1 Dice roll of a four sided dice=1D4)

2 to 5- miss. You just miss. Happens. Either your attack got deleted by armor, a shield or was dodged, doesn't matter. Your attack missed or caused no damage.

6 to 9- Hit. You cause damage. Roll your damage dice in a separate post, describing how you hit and maybe even where you hit your target.

10- Critical hit. You scored a hit in a vital spot. Damage rolls are doubled. (Just roll your damage dice normally, then double the roll you get.) This attack hit someplace vulnerable. Make it the chest, or have it piece their armor. Maybe you hit their shoulder. Unless you caused enough damage to kill, don't aim for the eye or head. (You normally don't live through those hits, so only if you killed the target should you hit those areas.)

Example Posts:

Tesunie throws another dagger at his foe, despite the distance.
I hope this works. He thought to himself.

(Weapons and spells will be after these two posts.)
(Daggers cause 1d4 damage.)

(No matter what I roll, I shall presume I hit, to show the damage side as well.)

(Well, I critically missed...)

After throwing the dagger, Tesunie trips instead. He falls square into the ground, dagger still in hand. The hard impact knocks the wind out his him, leaving him breathless for a moment.

Man, am I glad that foe didn't see me yet. I would be an open target for him right now.

If I had hit:

The dagger flies at the target, striking it in the shoulder. A minor wound, but it was a first strike. Only problem, now the target knew he was there.

(You can go back and edit these post after you see the dice rolls, for your response only. You may want to do this if you find out that you killed the target, making a mention of the target dropping or something like that.)

edit for health (seen as I hurt myself)
