for those creaters (those who believe God created the world) who believe in the Adam and Eve story (or anyone in particular):
If Adam and Eve were the first man and woman on Earth and Eve gave birth to only sons, then where did their grandchildrens come from?
Note two facts first before posting:
1. there were no other people on Earth (supposedly) 2. Eve was the only female.

Adam and Eve had other children including daughters (Genesis 5:4) after Seth, and possibly before since no children before Seth including Cain and Abel are mentioned. Inbreeding at the time wouldn't have had the health effects it does now because the genetics were pure - there were no genetic deformities to be passed down. I think I've also heard that they might have mated with angels, but I've nothing to back that up with.

serendipitynsa Adam and Eve had other children including daughters (Genesis 5:4) after Seth, and possibly before since no children before Seth including Cain and Abel are mentioned. Inbreeding at the time wouldn't have had the health effects it does now because the genetics were pure - there were no genetic deformities to be passed down. I think I've also heard that they might have mated with angels, but I've nothing to back that up with. I laugh, I love, I hope, I try, I hurt, I need, I fear, I cry. That's not the problem people have with the Adam & Eve theory.
Inbreeding, or as most people call it incest, is strictly forbidden in the Bible. Basically God says, "DUDE! SHE'S YOUR , MAN! Don't tap that!" Yet at the beginning Eve's children end up porking her to begin populating the planet, contradicting the previous statement.
I personally don't think it was in the original Bible, and the Church probably put it in later on to control people into not makin' love with their relatives. And I know you do the same things, too. So we're really not that different, me and you.

Even when I was Christian, I didn't believe that god did anything to help the population flow (such as put more men and women on earth or breeading with angels) so it was just a bunch of incest.
I also think with the theory of evolution there has to be inbreeading/incest because like 200 people didn't just randomly decide to evolve at the same time....At any rate I've always believed that everyone's all related and until someone proves me otherwise, I'll keep believing that.

I've always just thought of Adam & Eve as a parable of sorts, a story with a moral, which in this case is obediance. Other than that, I never actually believed that there were a real Adam and Eve.

Cornetto1 God created a grandchild vending machine out of their toenail clippings. funny, but this is for debating, not joking, but yes the true answer was inbreeding, until eventually a daughter was born, then more inbreeding, until finally we ended up here, but if you look at inbreeding now, you'd notice that it can deform certain principles in the body structure, possibly over those millions of years of inbreeding, we could have deformed, and forgotten, thus creating prime-ates, also we could look nothing compared to adam nore eve, we could be the deformed version, of the real comcept of a human, that was generally concieved by god, thus the nowaday normal person, could just be an inbread, thus deformed and looks nothing like the real human being.

Religion aside, it has been scientifically proven that every human being on earth has the same gene, which they call the "Eve gene".

Incest wasn't forbidden until the Law was given, at which time it would have had genetic and societal consequences, so God made it 'illegal.' Quote: Religion aside, it has been scientifically proven that every human being on earth has the same gene, which they call the "Eve gene". "Mitochondrial Eve" I believe the ancestor with the gene is called.

I made a point, which was clearly too subtle for you, that we are arguing over fictional text, in this same story a talking snake told a woman to eat an apple. I seriously doubt that whoever came up with it meant for it to be taken literally.

Note two facts first before posting: 1. there were no other people on Earth (supposedly) 2. Eve was the only female. The Bible says they had many sons and daughters just there is a story of their two eldest boys. Though there would have been inbreeding which was allowed at the time - had to be! In fact many generations on I believe it was still happening and does today in some places. I believe some religions that use dowry's (sp?) inbreed slightly to keep the money in the family.

Fine, it could be a dragon for all I care, it is still FICTIONAL TEXT. There's no shred of historical evidence in the NEW testiment, let alone the old and anyone who seriously takes any of it literally really needs to open their minds a bit and actually question what they believe so blindly.
