jaguarmatt My net worth is about 38k. xd 38k is a good foundation.
Plenty of ways to get it up.
1. Hoarding. 2. Vending/Exchanging. 3. Bumping/Chatting. 4. Playing the games. 5. Bug hunting. 6. Starting contests.
This just gave me an idea, I am gonna make a guide on all the ways to make money and some general tips and links to other information on each subject. But for your reading now I will simply give short explanations on each.
1. Hoarding- I used to be a master at this, you simply obtain gold by posting and voting in polls on gaia or playing games and doing general things around gaia;- you then buy donation letters, and items or other items that inflate over time and keep them in your inventory for LONG periods of time. You keep doing this for months and months and eventually a year or more and those items become huge power houses, eventually before you know it you have 5 million gold. You can sell lots of small letters and items to gain the gold to buy larger items such as an OMG Hat or a Ninja Headband, hoarding is one of the slowest things you can do but also can be combined with the creation of interesting avatars and you can keep all sorts of fun items near you to dress up with, you can also combine hoarding with another way of earning gold such as Vending or Bumping.
2. Vending/Exchanging- This guild has some tutorials on how to vend and exchange, basically you buy low and sell high, where you do it (Marketplace or the gaian exchange), is what determines the difference in title. Also exchanging can also be bartering, or giving away an item in exchange for another item or multiple items, whereas vending is simply the purchasing and selling of items-- this earns you a lot of gold if you become good at it and put the time in... and there is no waiting 2 years to make good profit, its very fast.... the more pure gold you have the more you make.
3. Bumping/Posting- This can be combined with hoarding, basically you post in the forums and earn gold for your posts. You can also make mules and post with mules at the same time to make more gold over the same amount of time, and you can vote in polls, and post comments in profiles to earn gold in a posting format. This can be an effective way to earn gold but with the decline of gold points for posts over-time this has become a less effective way of earning gold than it used to be.
4. Playing the games- If you like to play the gaian games then making that your ultimate source of gold is simply in the experience of your gaming skills. Figure out which game it is your best at and try to grow better, it can become a very profitable thing- there are many people who play the slots all day, and your almost ensured some income and the possibility of getting the jackpot, you can also do other things like post while you play some of the games.
5. Bug hunting- Go into gaia towns and catch yourself some bugs or pick up some trash, hoarde a lot of these items and sell them in the exchanges sub-forum and you can make a nice profit on the items, you can even make your own items.
6. Make your own contest, avvy contest, bump contest, lotto, whatever you can think of. Charge a flat-fee and give gold prizes or items as prizes, keep a commission for yourself.

Pah! A competent player like yourself will have no problem strategically doubling twofold your profits. Really. If they are going to start kicking people out, I'd be first with my measly 11k net-worth. Best of luck! b

jaguarmatt A week ago my net-worth was 100k. I bought giftboxes and opened them. I was bored. XD never buy giftboxes and open them, that is really one of the dumbest things to do with your gold. Exchange/Vend lower priced items and sealeds try to find mis-priced items in the vend or newbs making mistakes in the exchange and take advantage of it I'm so mean twisted

Kick you out? Net-worth is no good reason to ban you. Trust me you won't get banned unless you break the rules

The thing with those ways of doing it, you can do almost all of them at the same time.
Also look at me, I am close being on here for a month and my net worth is now: 123,554 Gold
I have grown a lot and I will keep growing, I bump, go to charities, buy and sell bugs and ink, scavenge towns, play games, and sell everything I can get away with and make some money.
Only thing I am not doing is hording and I still growing fast.

Well, as much as it may not be the place to admit it, I really don't like the competition of the market. It seems so rigorous and cruel, oftentimes, I'd rather just give what little I have back and just sit and watch. Is electronic-- or any-- money worth the trouble? Ah, sorry. Not the time, place, nor company.

Bellabie also remember people move at there own pace. Some push and push hard, some push hard then give up, some just give up, and then there are those that are here just to be here and buy stuff a little at a time and such. There are more then that as you name it it is there.
Myself I am the type that pushes hard, but sometimes wants to spend his money, even when he is saving up for something. I am in part impatient and the most patient person you might see. In short I am a smart impulse buyer. But I push myself hard (like I have much else to do right now lol) to get things rolling the way I want. Plus I remember that if I am having the want to buy something I should look for something small and something I want, so I not set back so much from my goal.
But this is also fun and in a way I see it as a model of real life. Just with out a bitchy boss telling you what you need to do.

You're right. Absolutely right. I don't know what came over me. I obviously was too tired or out of my mind to remember that it is all a game after all, for pleasure. Thanks and sorry. I tend to muck things up when I think too much about things. I apologize for sounding so annoying and mopey. Forgive me.
