After being yelled at for wandering off she'd been told she was allowed to as long as she told her parents she was. That being said she'd informed them this morning that she was going exploring before scampering off not giving them time to object. She'd found a nice patch of green to play in and stretch her wings while she relieved her boredom.
Now all she needed to do was come up with something to do while out here so that she didn't become bored again. Trying to make wings work and running around only worked for so long before she got tired of them.
She needed something else. If only she could run into someone like she did with that little red girl.

Kal rarely explored anymore, now that he had found a place that suited him. He hadn't been in the area long, so his movements were slightly nervous as he nipped at the grass, and his ears flicked back and forth as he listened for any threatening noise. Although he had wings, they certainly wouldn't carry him far enough to escape any predators.
He just hoped he wouldn't encounter anything unusual today, it would be an awful shame to be scared off when he could have been comfortable here.

She bounced along for a bit until she almost knocked herself over. A few rather ungainly flaps of her wings and she was back on her feet and staring at the side of what she figured to be something like Mom and Papa.
Only it was white and gold and looked nothing like Mom and Papa aside from overall shape. "Watch where you're going!" Horrible thing to say since she'd been the one to almost run into him but ah well.

Kal's eyes widened, and although he had heard her coming and tried to scramble out of her way, the little filly had somehow bounced towards him anyway. He shook his mane and blinked.
"I wasn't going anywhere, you were the one who ran at me." He informed the little one without any malice.

"Then you should watch where i'm going." She nodded her head sharply. Someone had to after all and it was never wise to stand in the way of someone who wasn't paying attention or couldn't see you. A smart person would have gotten out of the way better. Maybe he just wasn't that smart or something.
"Who'er you and why are you here?" Straight to the point once again. It was easier to just demand information anyway no matter what Liani had said. If she demanded and they gave in it worked so much easier. If they didn't give in then the small bit of conversation could tell her about whoever she was talking to.
Right?

Kal snorted with amusement. Her logic was a bit misguided, but amusing nonetheless. "One should take responsibility for their own actions, then you don't need to worry about the failings of others. I'm Kal."
He thought it would be polite to answer at least one of her abrupt questions, but he didn't need to explain his business to a foal. Not that he looked much out of foal-hood himself... But that wasn't the point. He was a grown stallion even if just barely, and had the appearance of a dainty, mostly grown colt.

Ha! This one hadn't asked her name. That meant she didn't technically have to give it to him until he asked. "That works both ways. If you'd taken responsibility for your actions then i wouldn't have almost run into you and so there'd be no need to chide me for it."
She grinned happily up at him. Logic may have been slightly screwed but she knew it worked. "You didn't answer my other question. You look kinda like Papa, did you come to find him?" The only one she'd ever seen with horns and wings was her papa. Maybe they knew eachother?

"I wasn't acting when your actions caused you to almost run into me." He smiled, even though he knew how silly it was to be arguing such a point with a foal. It was hard not to smile when she looked happy enough to argue at him.
"I'm not here looking for anyone," he said, his smile fading a bit. There was no way he would tell this filly why he was in the area, and why he had chosen to stay here. Time to turn the conversation around. "Speaking of your papa, why are you off all alone?"

"You were standing, that's an action." Even if it aws being still it was the act of being still. "So you were doing something. Which wasn't getting out of the way of me."
She nodded in that matter of fact way again and fluffed her wings slightly. "Because i'm allowed to be. Papa says i can go off as long as i tell him and as long as i'm home before the sun goes down completely."

Kal refrained himself from informing the filly that the world did not revolve around her. He also held back a retort that if he had been a kalona instead of a more benevolent horse, she would have been eaten and it would have been a moot point.
"Maybe you should have been getting out of my way then," was what he finally settled on. "Do you... live near here? You and your family?"

"I couldn't have been getting out of the way since i couldn't see -where- my way was. Which is why it was your job to get out of mind." She huffed slightly before she trotted around him. He wasn't all that much bigger than her so he couldn't be that much older.
"Yes .... on the beach." Mom lived on the sand and Papa made his home up in a cave. One day she'd go up there with him when her wings worked.

"Do you have a sight problem?" He asked, fluffing his wings slightly as he followed her with his eyes. He didn't shift his feet though, it would have made him seem nervous, and he couldn't be nervous around a little filly.
He was relieved at her answer, and didn't press her with any other questions. He didn't often linger near the beach, so it was less likely he'd run into a bigger stallion who wanted to drive him off.

"No." So far her only problem was that he'd argued with her but she could let that slide. Now she just wanted to get a good look at him.
He was smaller that Papa but he had wings and a horn too. His tail was different though. "You can fly?" His wings were stronger than hers so he probably could even if he wasn't as good as papa.

"Then you have no excuse." He was about to add more when the little one threw another question in his direction.
"Yes," Kal said abruptly. He couldn't fly very well at all, but he could get off the ground for short periods of time. It was probably only because he was so small. That was as good a time as any to start walking, and hope with all his heart that the filly didn't ask for a demonstration.

"Excuse for what?" She didn't think she needed a reason to inspect him. She was just being curious and that's what she was suppose to be. If you weren't then how could you learn anything?
"Show me." She stamped one little hoof as she looked at him. "Mine won't pick me up enough. I wanna see someone besides Papa do it"
