With a satisfied yawn, the stallion trudged along the waters floor, noticing the bubbles that were erupting from his foot steps. It was much too hot to be wandering out of the surface today, so he decided that staying as deep as possible would provide for a more cool atmosphere.
Plus, the shore really had nothing for him- there was no seaweed to munch on, and the other Soquili hadn't proven themselves to be interesting to him yet.
Ah well, no matter, for at the moment he was preoccupied by watching the various fish that were zooming around him. It was enough to make him laugh, since them seemed frightened by his bigger appearance. "But I am a friend, my fish." he said, wondering if it looked as though he was talking to himself.
Rather the dwelling on whether he looked goofy or not, Kuval decided to do a spin in the water, and as the bubbles surrounded his body, he watched the fish flee away for their lives as if he was a monster. Such a simple thing was entertaining, but before Kuval had realized it, he had gotten very dizzy from spinning.

((Gah, I wish I had Saga, she could so be entertaining here XD)) Angathi trudged along. He chose to not walk along the bottom, but instead swam low, his body twisting and forming to the best of his advantage for speed. His tail flung out then to offer a turn in direction, his wing-like fins spread to slow his path through the water. For whatever reason he wanted to swim strong but not fast.
The tattered remnants of his seaweed-bridle trailed behind his head. The stallion's eyes watched the bottom as bright colored fish swam in comfort.
Humming bounced off the water, and it took awhile before Angathi realized it was his own voice. Instead of reacting, the kelpi continued his slow swim.
It was then that he also saw a distraction ahead. Something large moved around, and scattered the little fish. Folding his fins to his body, Angathi sped up, to see what was up there. His humming got louder, as if his voice did not understand the need for silence.

(( Welp, that just means more RP for the future XD <3 ))
In a lazy twist, Kuval peered through his dizzy eyes to see another Kelpi approaching. He tried to straighten his body so that he could finally see straight again, but the aftershock from the dizzyness kept pounding at his head.
As the figure got nearer, Kuval could tell that it was another stallion, and he slyly peered his eyes at him when they had relaxed again.
"Well hello to you, fellow Kelpi." Kuval lifted his own feet from the bottom and floated lazily in front of the stallion. "I could pull a territory rant and try and force you to go away, but you are lucky I am not into that kinda thing." With a full body twist, he chuckled, observing the bubbles his made with his body.
The stallion had some interesting colors on him, and it almost clashed against Kuval's red body. "Now now, what kind of breed do we have here?" With Pakpao, he was able to right away tell that she was a Beta because she flipped out at him about territory. But this one? He would have to wait and see what he acted like to figure anything else like that out.

Angathi copied the white and red stud and did a lazy twirl in the water, literally looking at the other stallion from many different angles, before stopping right in front of him. The blue and white stallion was silent, for his humming stopped, and simply watched.
His red eyes swirled as Angathi smiled. "Such a time it was, one day when, that kelpis greeted others with a gift and welcome. What a change this has become to get such a twisted 'hello'." He gave a long pause, mostly for effects - whatever that may be.
"A breed, a breed? I must admit, Sir, I am not familiar with that kind of category among the Kelpis." His smile had fallen, and the stallion looked to the other for answers.
((Despite the.... problems, Angathi's history is already set xD So.... *coughs* Forgive me if his 'past' contradicts what will be the Kelpi-fate))

"A gift? Isn't that a bit selfish?" He slanted his eyes and watched the stallion carefully. "I think that's the first time I have ever heard that- but maybe I am just stuupid." He put on a twisted grin and waved his tail against the water. The stallion was so formal and uptight, it was almost difficult for Kuval to understand him!
"Sir sounds weird, my names Kuval." With a confident bow, he grinned widely and blinked at the stallion. "And why are you getting so confused? Couldn't you tell I relate to a Koi fish?" He shook his face to show off his little whiskers that hung low. "All of the fish think I am a monster.. maybe I really AM a sea monster!" He cackled to himself but noticed the stallion in front of him was still curious.
"I don't know much about Kelpis, I grew up in a pond. It was a lazy atmosphere, so I'm not a history buff. But you! I bet you are waaaay more intelligent." He strided a few steps forward and continued to gleam at the stallion. "I am so jealous, I must be a bad Kelpi.."
Kuval gleamed at himself for the dramatics, for as usual he was doing a spectacular job. He really could go on and talk for hours, but he decided to pause to hear what the other Kelpi was going to say.

Angathi arched a brow. This youngling did not seem to understand the customs... but yet there he was standing, with what appeared to be gifts of his own - seashell necklace and bracelets. There were a few things the stallion could not stand, and lying was one of them.... but this Kuval did not appear to be lying, at least not on purpose.
"Actually, the giving of gifts worked quite well, for everyone participated. You may give a gift to someone one day, and they in turn would repeat the action the next." His deep voice sounded as if he were lecturing to a child - and in a way, to his mind, he was. Not that he knew much about it, for Angathi was a Knight. It was the responsibility of his family to exchange gifts, for a Knight really only had what he or she literally wore on her back.
But it was then that his attitude shifted yet again. A dark haze came into his eyes. "Boy, I have seen monsters..... things you could not dare to dream even in your worst nightmares. The shadows of the sea are not all romantic mystery, and those who cannot battle them need others to help them out."
The harshness escaped his voice as Angathi drooped in the water. Even his fins fell as extreme sadness took over him, "There is nothing to be jealous about..." His voice was low, and it was only the deepness of it that allowed its quietness to make it through the water.
((Haha.... he really is like this xD *shot* I wonder if I can keep up the roller coaster of emotions ))

Kuval arched a brow and listened, but also felt completely disconnected at the same time. "Well, I have never seen that sort of kindness, and I don't rely on others for kindness anyways." he snorted, and rolled his eyes back on the stallion. "Plus, I haven't seen that many Kelpi about, you are the first stallion I have run into. Man, I must be more disconnected then I thought.." he sighed and glanced at the ground, wondering what the heck the stallion was talking about.
At the stallions quick-change of emotion, Kuval only widened his eyes, and felt himself shift his weight into his back leg. "Calm down there, jeez you must have some issues!" What was with this stallion, anyways? "You would think for someone who was so strong and experienced, you would act a bit more manly on the subject matter." He let out a light snicker, and watched the bubble escape from his mouth.
He watched the stallion remain in what looked like a saddened haze, and he snorted and shook his head. "Am I supposed to feel bad for you? Because.. the way you are acting is just weird. I don't even have a wity or snide remark to save myself in this scenario. All I can really do is.. stare at you blankly.." and that he did, and with a stale frown he watched the stallion now with confused expectations. "I always thought warriors were supposed to be cool." He finished, with a devilish expression.
He really was rough when it came to irritating others, and it was impossible to make him stop once he started. And, in the other Kelpis case, his situation was almost TOO easy for Kuval to nitpick at.
(( *huggles him* Poor buddy ;;o *smacks Kuval for the way he is* XDD;; ))

Angathi snapped. The stallion's training took over. With a silent lunge, and very little water disturbance he was up next to Kuval. He used everything he had as a weapon to keep the younger stallion at bay. At this short range, Kuval would also clearly see his scars.
"For one so ignorant and alone, you may do well to accept some kindness from others," he growled and snarled to use his teeth if need be. "I know when to back down and when to fight, but you do not seem to have that similar ability!"
Whenever Kuval made an attempt to leave, Angathi would block it with tooth and hoove, tail and horn, and even his fins got into the battle. It was obvious that he didn't intend harm -for he would have tried something.
Finally, the weathered Knight became almost bored, for the madness literally left his expression in his stance. Even as Angathi backed away, the stallion gave Kuval an almost pitiful stare, "You should never have left your 'pond'."
((silly Angathi... he's like a short fuse.... blows up but then is out of energy xD))

Kuval held himself fairly well when the stallion bursted out a different emotional reaction, and he suddenly felt exhausted at the stallions tactics. He wasn't really afraid at the angry spurt that had appeared in front of him, but he shifted his attention to another wonderful side to this crazy stallion. "Its like you are a rival of mine or something.. so many emotions, all at once!"
But, at the stallion's last comment, Kuval only grinned sheepishly. "I am soaking in your dramatic aura, I just love it! This is the sort of stuff I do, and I must say that you are quite impressive in the art of drama." With a light chuckle, Kuval brought his gleaming eyes on the stallion once again. "You just did a 180 from super depressed to super strong and cool, and all I can say now is Bravo!"
"And your right, I'm not a fighter. That doesn't really bother me, I try to fight fights with words anyway." He flicked his head confidently and returned his gaze to Angathi. "Besides, I had to leave the pond, since I was kicked out."

Angathi eyed the younger Kuval with a wary glance. As far as he was concerned, he was perfectly normal, and not succumbed to 'dramatic outbursts'. "You are a strange, twisted individual Kuval." Already, it seemed the 'attack' was forgotten, and maybe it was.
"Dramatics are for the Story-tellers, the ones that remember and pass down the our history over generations. A Knight is not one to remember such things, but to protect the others" he repeated as his gaze was still one of caution. Was it even possible, that in his 'pond' that this Kelpi did not know his heritage? Such a thing was unthinkable. Sure, some were exiled, but even then they still had connections in one form or another.
"I cannot possibly imagine why anyone would kick you out!" Sarcasm dripped from his voice. This would be so much easier if he was still alive.... Angathi thought, then shook his head to clear it from his mind; for he was alone now and nothing could change that.

"Maybe." Kuval said, with a flick of his tail. "Though, that is only your opinion of me. I have been called many other things, though twisted seems to fit your personality better." Kuval kept a smirk and kept himself unoffected by the stallions words. "Other's opinions really mean nothing to me, unless I like them."
What the heck was up with this stallion anyways, Kuval really was starting to get confused. "Story Tellers? You keep talking as if you are crazy. I don't know where you are getting these stories from." He pondered for a moment and looked at the stallion calmly. "But, you seem like the type who would be knight, so I guess that is impressive." He really had no clue about the stallion still, so he just played along as he usually did with any conversation. "So, how do I try out to be one of these Knights? Maybe it would be fun for awhile." He figured his abnoxious comment would bother him, and he only smiled innocently in response.
"Yes, it was completely unexpected." Kuval snorted, with a unhappy glare towards Angathi. "Not all of us can prance around as knights all day, some of us have to somehow survive by ourselves."

Angathi snorted in exasperation. " 'Twisted' is hardly a word to describe myself." There really was no getting to this stallion... he's been so away from civilised company. "You obviously don't know much about Kelpis, and I am not one of those who is talented in the arts of education. You would have to find the others, and see if they would put up with you."
The stallion cocked his head to the side with a mocking expression, "You want to become a Knight? Well, to begin with you are much too old to even start the training. Training starts when one is born - and that is just to become familiar with the Kelpi ways. Then, the education and skills of a Knight is taught when a young one is a juvenile - older than a foal but younger than a matured adult. It isn't something you learn on a whim."
"Besides," Angathi grinned maliciously, "You are not disciplined enough; nor are you strong or the companion of a Merlok. Not to mention your bad attitude and barbaric mannerisms. You, Kuval, would not even be able to make the cut... for not all that begin training become Knights, or even finish for that matter."
((Hmmm.... guess I am getting REALLY detailed.... and they may be booted still crying ))

For awhile, Kuval listened with eager, bright eyes, but as Angathi continued speaking, he let his gaze mold itself into more of a frown. "Well, if thats the way 'Knighthood' works, then count me out anyways! It sounds tacky and medieval, and almost completely unrealistic." He turned his head away to observe a slowly moving fish. He couldn't help himself, maturity was overrated in his book.
But, something did bother him finally, and he decided to speak to Angathi truthfully for once. "You keep sitting here preaching these things to me, and I can clearly tell you are quite passionate on the subject. But what the hell do you know about this entire land? You might have a broad knowledge of the deepest and darkest events of the sea." he paused, bringing his eyes on Angathi, "but don't sit here lecturing me as if you are that smart on all subject matters. We all have different lives, and mine is clearly much different then yours. If your not going to get over that, then this conversation will probably remain as stale as it already is."
In Kuval's mind, he kept thinking to himself how brilliant he sounded, and his eyes glimmered for a moment while watching the stallion. "Besides, you haven't even told me YOUR name yet. How rude is that? I may not be 'Knight" with respect, but I am still a fellow Kelpi."
((*huggles* I say you should RP however you want- its YOUR right X3 !! ))

Angathi allowed Kuval to continue with his speech. Many of the words went in one ear and out the other.... for he had heard similar things while growing up - mostly from siblings who were not attached by the hip to a Merlok child. Many of those teased the Knighthood, not completely understanding what it meant to the Knights, nor to those they protected.
"You're right," the stallion sniffed some water in and out. "I do only know things about the Sea, and not so much the Land. But I do not need anything else than what the Sea includes." His eyes flashed as something dark passed behind them. "You are free to live your life, as I am free to mine.... but you are not free to criticize my heritage!"
The stallion sputtered a bit before taking a deep breath with closed. What was it they told him? Breathe... One... Two... Three... His gills flared as he took long-deep gulps. "Angathi," he whispered through his relaxing-techniques. "My name is Angathi."

Kuval smiled dearly and spun himself around happily. "Well then Angathi, I will watch my words then." he sighed, still holding a flushed expression. "I'm not.. always this obnoxious, I usually am to other Soquili because they are so judgmental." A few bubbles flew out of his nose in a laugh. "I've come to hate them I think, because they think I'm a monster." Ah well, nothing could be done about it now.
"There's no reason for me to keep using my little games on you, I mean.. besides one other dear friend of mine, you are the only other Kelpi I have ever seen." He paused for a second to ask him a question. "When you were growing up, were you around many Kelpi?" Kuval was barely looking at him in the eye, mainly because it was already embarrassing enough for him to be acting in a modest way. But, he was jealous- Angathi seemed to be everything that made a strong Kelpi, and Kuval was nothing compared to him.
"You say that we are free to live our lives, but is that always the case?" A peculiar look hit Kuval's face, and he truly contemplated what Angathi was saying. "Because, I think that there are many exceptions that lead us away of how we should be living."
