Lust
What is lust?
A false feeling
often confused for love
It's like a firework
it soars high into the sky
at its peak it explodes
into a beautiful flower
and all that's left are the smoldering ashes
What is lust?
It's a demon with a lovely mask
with a dagger hidden behind its back.
When everything feels so right
so comfortable and safe
you look away and it strikes
with a dagger called reality
and you realize it was all just a beautiful illusion
As you lie bleeding on the floor
you wonder why it had to happen that way.
