Sorry people I studied world history for two years in college and the Grim Reaper in physical form is a myth. The name Grim Reaper comes from western civilizations. It was a name given for death. A name only!!! It did not have a physical form until artist started giving it an image in paintings and books. When you see a man lying on a bed dying with the Grim Reaper hovering over him in a painting the Grim Reaper is not literally there. The Grim Reaper is representing death. Artists needed something visual to symbolize the point of the painting. The point being death. Perfect example. The emoticons you put in your posts. They are a symbol that represents a feeling or a circumstance. The Grim Reaper in physical form is a metaphoric symbol. You cannot see a metaphoric symbol.

Well duh. Of course he doesnt have a physical embodyment, I always thought it was known to everyone there was no ACTUAL grim reaper and its just a symbolto represent it. Kind of like santa, he doesnt ACTUALLY exist but rather embodies the whole idea of christmas. >>

Death is different for different people. My grandpa claims to have seen angels swooping around before he died, My friends uncle claims to have seen a bright light at the end of a tunnel, and my cousin had a near death experience when she claims to have seen death personified. They may be tricks of the mind but they may also be how they experience death.

I believe that all people see something when they die or have a near death experience. What I am talking about is in reference to people saying that they saw someone in a black cloak and they claim it's the Grim Reaper. If they do see something like that it's not the Grim Reaper. I'm not saying that they don't see something. I'm just saying it's not the Grim Reaper because the Grim Reaper in body form is a metaphoric symbol meaning it's not actually real. The words Grim Reaper are, but not the form it takes. Just like if you go into a church and you see a statue of Jesus. That statue is a metaphoric symbol. There is no proof of what Jesus looked like so someone came up with a version of what they think he may look like. Now if by some miracle somehow you see Jesus he won't look like the statue in that church. Like my spirit guide he told me what he looks like, but I don't see him. So in my head I have an image of him, but my image is a metaphoric symbol because that is what I use to invision him it's not an actual picture.
