Hey guys. I used to be a member of the United Methodist Church. About a year ago, the District Superintedent informed our pastor that he would have to move to a different church. Now, in his vows he swore to before he was ordained as a minister, he wrote that he would move if he felt it was the Lord's calling to move. He didn't feel God pulling him somewhere else. So now, a year later, he has been stripped of his credentials, kicked out of our parsonage, and forced to live in a friend's basement. All the while, he has pushed forward with his plan to plant a new church in the area. It is called the Oaks Community Church. Now, the new church is doing well with 170 members and growing, land to build on, our pastor, and money coming in to fund the building. The Methodist churches he was forced to leave, however, are dying. Now I'm not happy with the things the Church did, but I don't want two churches dying because of it. If anyone could pray for the two dying churches and our growing one, it would be greatly appreciated.
