not many people have heard of this anime yet do to it being relativly but i recently got into the anime titled Black Lagoon and all i can say is that it is absolutly amazing. it has been refered to as the successor to cowboy bebop and i can say with out any reservations that it is true.
so i wanted to see if anyone here is familiar with Black lagoon or would like to know anything about it.

basicly its a show about modern day pirates to put it simply. to be specific a group composing of 4 members that calls themselves the lagoon company. they take any job from the delivery of both legal and illegal goods to underwater salvage to hijacking. they are often hired by the russian mafia and the triad (Chineese mafia)
it takes place in a city called Roanapur. a city that is home to drug runners, revolutionaries, pirates, prostitutes, smuglers, assassis, pirates, murderers, rapists, and everyother lowlife you can imagine. the police have no power there and infact dont even attempt to control things. the only thing keeping order in the city is fear of pissing off the local mafias.
id give a more detailed explenation but id have to give spoilers. but i will say this its rated older teen and with good reason. its unbeleivably violent, they swear like crazy and there are a couple scenes with nudity. so in other words. its unlikely that it will ever air on cartoon network.

awsome. not sure whether they still have it on youtube since they ve been cracking down again but it should still be on othe video sites. also to be honest its really worth buying the dvds of this series

I will say without any hezitation that it is one of the greatest if not the greatest action animes i have ever seen. it has become my personal favorite.

yeah but its revealed later on that revy is her nickname and her real name is Rebeca (sp?)
