The place is here. The time is now. And the journey into the shadows that we're about to watch could be our journey. There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone. Table of Contents:

Background(all information on this page taken from wikipedia)The Twilight Zone is a television anthology series created (and often written) by its narrator and host Rod Serling. Each episode (156 in the original series) is a self-contained fantasy, science fiction, or horror/terror story, often concluding with an eerie or unexpected twist. Although advertised as science fiction, the show rarely offered scientific explanations for its fantastic happenings and often, if not always, had a moral lesson that pertained to everyday life. The success of this original series led to the creation of two revival series, a feature film, a radio series, a comic book, a magazine and various other spinoffs that would span five decades. Throughout the various introductions for the original series, the Twilight Zone is described as another dimension. It is "a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind", "a place of things and ideas", "between the pit of Man's fears, and the summit of his knowledge."The twilight zone" in a nutshell, is the mind and imagination of man, where any thought can become a reality. The original series ran from 1959–1964, with 156 episodes. The TZ revival was called The New Twilight Zone, and ran from 1985–1989. While it didn't match the enduring popularity of the original, it did develop its own cult following and some episodes were widely acclaimed. So, I originally made this thread because Roobarb said she's never watched TTZ. eek First it was a post, but then it quickly grew into an ever-growing thread.
So.
Discuss your favorite episodes if you're a regular, or what you think about it if you're new to the show. Or you can go on one of the many quests to find one of the online episodes. (I've searched, believe me).
Enjoy! I had fun making this thread and once it grows up and gets more information, I'll probably put it in the outside forums. razz Can you believe there is no Guild for the Twilight Zone??? The first I saw had 18 people and it was an anime guild. The second had 8 people, and was really sad. (Kinda like the other Doctor Who guild) sweatdrop

Ceribri The second had 8 people, and was really sad. (Kinda like the other Doctor Who guild) sweatdrop Kinda reminds me of my Robin Hood Guild... stare You should make one, as long as it includes The Outer Limits as well. Yes, I haven't seen The Twilight Zone yet (though this Friday I promise to buy the first season on DVD) so... um... I can't really contribute anything useful yet, but I think I'll like it. What are the best stories? The only one I know anything about is the one with William Shatner on a plane... and that's only cos it's been spoofed so many times!

Aha poor you..I don't have nearly enough gold for anything I'm questing for much less a guild... The one I saw with 8 people has a leader that hasn't been on in over a year.. I'm contacting her about perhaps purchasing it..dunno if it's possible to switch leadership in guilds but probably.. And yes, I'd have a big thread on The Outer Limits..eventually it'd become a subforum if you think you could get enough people and stuff for it.. you can head that part up as I know nothing of it.. 3nodding Whoa....we're...getting along?! (I suppose that's possible as long as the subject isn't David Tennant, hm?) rofl rofl

Okay, I seen Twilight Zone, but don't really remember any of the episodes, just the intro.
In addition to Outer Limits, there was another anthology series I vaguely remember called "Amazing Stories". I can't recall specific episodes, but it did have one of the stupidest episode titles I have ever seen...
"Hell Toupee"
A pun that bad sticks in your mind forever. gonk

@Hairy Priest: xp Ouch. Bad pun. Gotta tell my dad that one, he lives for them. >.< rofl By the way, Living Doll has gotta be one of my top favorites. You'd like it. 3nodding
@Freaj: Yay you! Enjoy the quota! I got some other stuff on YouTube that you'd enjoy now that you have a chance.
@Roobarb: Heh, I can think of a few episodes.. one where he's the Doctor forever, and gains mass popularity. Hah! mrgreen
Hmm...since there's only two episodes here, and I really can't find any elsewhere...I've got an idea for another one of these type threads...and there's a lot more of it on YT and elsewhere..
What say you to an 'Animaniacs' thread?

(Hey, is that the second time you've called me a boy now?)And to an Animaniacs thread I would have to say "Helllooooo Nurse!" - only I wouldn't cos I don't say that. People look at me funny. But anyway, Animaniacs is cool.

If I can't convince anyone to mod DW-Mafia, then yeah, I'll do a huge A! thread. Because Animaniacs rocks. 3nodding blaugh heart

Well, you could always just be the Mafia mod, since it seems like no one has played it before (or won't admit to it, anyway). It seems like fun, actually. I'd almost be tempted to join in, but I'm not sure I can be on the computer regularly these days.
An Animaniacs threat would be great fun. It had one of the most bizarrely disturbing scenes I have ever seen in a cartoon... a movie critic (obviously based on Roger Ebert) eating popcorn with flavored with 'butter' liposuctioned from his own body fat... gonk
