Eddard, ever prepared for anything from highway robbers to magical beasts, wears specially crafted chain mail. It took him many weeks to perfect his specific suit and aside from a few broken or dented links as a result of battle, is flawless and beautiful. Eddard's suit of armor is dear to him for it is the first thing he crafted in which he experienced an epiphany, an event important in human-changeling relationships in which a changeling secretly inspires a human to go beyond the normal restraints of their creative limitations and make something truly unique. Under the help of his mentor and sire, Barlo, Eddard was able to participate and be the catalyst for this occurence. Aside from being lighter and aesthetically pleasing, there are no special properties to his chainmail.
The sword that Eddard carries is also beautifully crafted. Although not the product of an epiphany, Eddard went to great lengths to insure that the sword appears ornamental, having gems inlaid into its intricate hilt and pommel, while remaining extremely functional. Indeed, Eddard made sure his blade was off balanced just enough during the forging that the gems he added after would make the weapon even. Lastly, Eddard puts great care into taking care of the weapon, sharpening and oiling the sword everyday with automated reverence to prevent dulling and rusting.
Aside from his armor and sword, Eddard wears knee high boots, a gray tabard, worn leather satchel, and a traveling cloak clasped together by a brooch in the shape of a great tree, the sign of the house in which he served, Liam, and a gift from his grandfather. Aside from these obvious things, each boot contains a dagger, one of which is specially designed by Eddard himself to be hollow and is ussually in his right boot. This dagger was designed for delivering poison though he himself has never used such a treacherous means to dispatch a foe, but was something he had made for friend and then recovered at a later date. Last of all, his satchel contains flint & steel, 2 torches, 20' of rope, a thin blanket and bedroll, sharpening stones and oil, tools of his trade, and an outfit appropriate for work in a smithy.
New Equipment: Other than the Gem of the Dragon King, Yu Five Claws, Eddard has not gained anything since his arrival in Gaia.
